What this thing flying around that De Gea isn't in Spain's 55 man provisional world cup squad list? Must be politics cus even in his worst form, De Gea is still one of the best goalkeeper Spain has..

I doubt De Gea is a better goalkeeper with his feet than Kepa Arrizabalaga. So we need to keep philosophy first. Enrique plays high attack Tiki taka. He will go with players that will suit his philosophy.

But that wasn't all. His needless pass to Christian Eriksen when the Dane was under pressure brought the second goal and further highlighted something De Gea's detractors have started to mention frequently in the past few years: he's not good enough with the ball to be relied upon in a team that wants to build from the back.

That's the style of play Erik ten Hag wants to impose, yet De Gea appears to be far from the ideal candidate. Granted, the need to make saves will always be important for a goalkeeper, and the Spaniard's record of 2.8 goals prevented last season was second only to Jose Sa (8.5) in the Premier League.

But goalkeepers have become more and more important in the implementation of possession-based football over the past decade, and the longer you have the ball, the fewer opportunities the opponent has to score – for example, the three teams with the greatest shares of possession last term also faced the fewest shots.

So, if De Gea – who last season only completed 69 per cent of his passes – is not suitable.

Is it just me why does it seem that great and legendary Footballers make terrible coaches undecided undecided undecided I mean look at Rooney,Steven Gerrard, frank lampard, even xavi has been terrible,

Players who then make great and successful coaches are players who had zero or mediocre Football career, think of pep guardiola,Jurgen klopp, ancelotti, etc this men either did not play football or had terrible careers as Footballers but went on to become some the most successful coaches in the world......Johann kruff is the only exception of this

It even extend to national teams....maradonna nearly killed the agentina national team,he was terrible........in Nigeria here our legends has been terrible as coaches,Steven keshi started well but ended badly,.... Sunday oliseh and eguavon were nightmares even though they are naija legends......can someone explain
no talk this thing again o, Ancelotti and Pep were not mediocre

He has a limited footwork and aerially, he is poor.... According to Enrique

But then, Raya (Brentford) and Sanchez (Brighton) made the list which is quite surprising.

No....your logic doesn't follow.
First, I worked for my salary. It is my right.
Secondly, the allowance and other benefits are as a result of my brilliant performance. While these benefits are rewards, they will also serve as motivation.

Now, if I am to represent my company in a conference and my performance in this conference will determine my next position in the company, the thought of attaining promotion and reaping better benefits than I'm currently getting is enough motivation for me to put up my best performance. It doesn't has to come to a situation where one of my boss will start promising me #1M if I can reach a particular target. No.
You don't need money for motivation when you know the right thing already.

I don’t know why you guys are acting surprised

Spain hardly call up de gea ,so the World Cup omission shouldn’t be a surprise

De gea remains Spanish beat shot stopper but doesn’t fit Enrique system because he is poor with his feet .

If guardiola takes over man united tomorrow I can assure you that the first player he will replace will be de gea .

No vex sir. Money or financial resources whether liquid or illiquid have always been used as incentives aka motivation before you were born and would continue after we both are gone!!! And based on your response what does the promotion eventually give you, what are the better benefits you expect to reap in the future??
Anyway, like Prophet Osadebe said, Osondi Owendi, peace!!!!

Salisu Yusuf is destroying Nigeria football at all levels...thanks to federal character nonsense!

He decides what players to be invited to d Super Eagles to foreign coaches who may not av a vast knowledge of Nigerian players and now he is doing everything to keep all non-hausa foreign players from playing for d Olympic eagles today against Tanzania.

The arsenal guy, akinola and some other foreign players of southern Nigeria origin invited to d team av all returned back to their clubs because of salisu's attitude towards them...he has since replaced them with northern players.

Salisu Yusuf is d one killing our football in Nigeria. I've said it before and I will keep saying this everywhere until drastic measures are activated.
