Good day everyone.

Can anyone offer me advice on what type of petrol gen I can get to power 1HP *4 units, 2 300L fridges (medium size) and lighting and 4 TV units?

Please who has any experience with Sumec TS 3000? The sales person here is asking me to buy it. It has key start and a timer. According to the the sales person, you can set the timer and it will automatically go off.

I like convenience, but I like peace of mind even more. I can hardly find it online. It is only on the Sumec website. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Please is this a good buy?

AC 750*4 = 3000W (startup wattage is 4500W)
Fridge 150*2 = 300W
TV 100*2 = 200W
Lighting ~ 100W

A 6.0kw generator should handle the load without stress.

That's a fake generation, a rip off of the Sumec spg 3000. Where did you see it online? Its not on Sumec website.

I think you are attracted by their prices. First the elepaq is not up to that rating and I can't advise anyone to buy iTec, at least not for now.

You're correct boss. Money is a factor, sumec is really expensive now, that's why I'm looking at other alternatives. What would you say about Kemage generators?

Can't say anything about kemage, some persons got some when they just came into the market and have no real challenge. The problem here is the Nigerian factor, standards are not adhered to because of corruption. It's still safer to go with the big brands at least reputation is at stake.

That na cheap oil na. If you use the gen everyday like you stated, you are killing the engine if you don't change oil weekly, piston and rings will soon shatter.

I check the oil most times. And if I did it very dirty before 2weeks, I change it.

Oil change is not done by how dirty the oil is, it's by running ours. The manufacturer of your gen recommends changing of oil after 100 hours of use.

So, I decided to go with the sumec. Saw some Elepaq gen, but the power rating written on the body aren't the actual power of the gen. Due to transparency of sumec, I settled for it, set me back a couple of thousands tho.

Amazing Energy Efficient Inverter Products we Love
With energy-efficient appliances, you use less power and get the same or better performance than you would get using non-energy efficient products.

Less energy usage equals lower NEPA bills. When used with an Inverter energy-efficient products will increase the number of hours of backup you get from your Inverter battery bank.

Here are of some of our favourite energy-efficient saving for Inverter use:

Philips 9.5 watt Scene Switch LED lightbulb
The 60W equivalent LED from Philips provides energy-efficient flicker-free, natural lighting. Using just a fraction of the power that would be used by an incandescent.

The soft white uses just 9 watts and the daylight Scene Switch combo bulb 9.5. Replacing an incandescent with a Scene Switch bulb will enable you to get many more hours backup from your Inverter System.

For example, if you run 10x 60 watts bulbs on a 24-volt Inverter with 2x 200ah deep cycle batteries the runtime would be approximately 5 hours. If you run 10x 9.5 watts bulbs on the same Inverter System it would give you 32 hours backup time.

At this point, I don't know if the Thermocool I bought from their show room is fake or my village ppl r just messing with my head.

It's one issh or the other.

Today, it can power my microwave, tomorrow, it would start heaving and coughing.

How can a 3.75Kva Thermocool not power up a 1.5hp Hisense Inverter AC?

Initially, it was working well for 3 weeks or so after increasing d speed of the gen but now.. It has refuse to do any meaningful work.

Gen repairer said it might be the carburetor because of the groaning sound it emits when you switch on the AC.

We have to later change the Caburetor since we have no other option. Yet, the problem hasn't go away. Last time, we reduced the speed to the minimum as that was the only time it worked without heaving and groaning for like 10 mins.

Switched it on again and voila.. Back to stage one.

I was told they might have to open up the engine to check the carburetor valve or something and I'm skeptical of that cos the moment they start opening up a gen, d lifespan no dey last esp if na trial n error approach.

Any help?

Usual current load is jst A.C and TV.

Just take it to any of their service center near you. Like you said, don't allow those guys to do guess work, don't even leave your gen with them, unless it's someone you really trust.
