For those people who still believe that almost 20years of strategic planning from both tiefnubu and Atiku to become the president of this country can be discarded for someone who just started yesterday, 2023 must teach all of una sense by force.

BAT's party has governors, senators, NASS, HoA members that can drive his purpose and influence the masses to get votes.

Obi has nobody in the position of power to that.

I know his structure is the masses, but we saw how and obidient woman promised to vote another party if she wasn't paid in full. Stomach infrastructure no be your mate.

Be realistic abeg. BAT will not step down for Obi

People must get sense by force come 2023!!

So you're saying if there's a Northern consensus that would of course cut across party lines Tinubu stands a chance?

Compared to Obi?

But the article indicates Kwankwaso is only inclined to step down for agbadoman if he agrees to step down at all

When Northern elders gather together, story fit change

Kwankwaso most realistic option is to sell his base for $ and influence/position rather than hope to win

Petroleum Minister offer should reset his brain

You do realize this guy is an apologetic PDP (wike faction) boy. So what's this?

He used PO to grow his handle and he has pretty much admitted to it. Run through his tweets and retweets. He talks more about Obi than he does Wike

I also find some of the things weird. I'm always happy to give a lift on my way to work so I can have some company.

Why will you charge your neighbour to give them a lift to the same office?

You still spend the same amount on fuel, insurance, MOT or whatever it is they pay so what's the point?

It is his neighbour's car. It is his neighbour's fuel.

Yes, we can draw reasons why its unkind, but its not a debt. The neighbour owes him nothing.

You gave people lifts out of your goodwill. Now imagine your neighbour complaining that you dont give them lifts, or you charge them for it

It looks like I'm seeing it differently from you.

If I'm going the same way as my neighbour and I refuse to carry him because he won't pay, he has a right to feel bad and complain.

He is not far from the truth.

The day one of my father cousin called him that she is on the way from the airport to stay with them for one month is the day he told her "UK problem and Naija problem don't mix". . . but in Naija, she can come to his house at any time and stay as long as she wants without notice

I am not talking about their attitude to him.

I'm talking about how he thinks he deserves it.

Its funny how Nigerians always feel we are brothers and should be kind to each other when we are in a foreign country. But back here, we don’t even do that to ourselves

in obodo oyibo, people engage in structured carpooling to save costs and time

eg - this week mrs a carries all the kids in the neighbourhood in her car to soccer practice
next week mrs b does the same
that way you are sharing the costs. everyone is trying to save money, but it should not be at others' expense

fuel costs money. car maintenance costs money. your neighbour who lives in the same place as you, is in the same median of income as you is riding in your car and saving himself money.

That's normal for us in Nigeria. We can also go to her house without notice. Na housemaid go suffer am in Naija, but you can't try that in Obodo Oyinbo

Nawa o grin

The decision to buy the car has been made and the car has been bought. Not carrying the neighbour will not reduce the cost of maintenance, fueling and any other cost of keeping the vehicle running.

I understand your point but still find it weird

Life and history has also taught us that there are exceptions to its rules. The race is not always to the swift neither the battle to the strong. What Peter Obi is doing is unprecedented in modern Nigerian politics, that is why the political hegemony in Nigeria is frustrating and fighting him.

One will almost think Obi's Labour Party is either the incumbent or the major opposition party in Nigeria with the level of attacks against them but it's not. The APC and PDP is United in purpose and agenda to frustrate Obi yet he keeps making progress. What many initially thought will fizzle out is growing stronger by the day and the projections back it up.

There are many on this thread who boasted that Obi can never win any state in Nigeria but they can't say the same today with a straight face. I believe in planning, I also believe in miracles. All of our life's wins aren't always results of our meticulous planning, some are just miracles against all odds.

oh yes it will and can

i have some neighbours who do not pick their children from school. they literally expect them to walk home from school
they have no plan in place for when it rains.
they have six children, all of whom are fat
the eldest are 15 plus.

their kids used to go to the same school as my kids. i work from home mostly. one day it was raining very very heavily and i went to pick my kids from school. they were there and they asked me to pick them. from there it was please our brother is in school b, our sister is in school e. so a 15 minute journey turned into a 45 minute journey - through knee high pools of water. something in the car got damaged that day - because i was giving a lift to my neighbours kids whose parents [much much wealthier than me] could not be bothered to arrange or plan for their trip home.

if your car breaks down will the neighbour who has been enjoying free ride chip in to repair it? if there is fuel scarcity, will he go and line up for you in the queue? no one owes you anything because they are 'wealthier' than you. especially when you are not there when they are doing whatever it is that got them the money

Everybody has a different viewpoint on how to live this life. We had a neighbour who was a top engineer in NNPC. The guy bought a house for hundreds of millions of naira while sending his kids to one of those dilapidated public schools in Lagos.

Nigerians always feel entitled. I once sent money to a guy on this forum who was desperate for school fees for uni (or so he claimed). Next thing the guy sent me a message in December asking me for money for him to do Christmas.

If you give your neighbour lift to work in Nigeria for a few days, the day you don't give lift is the day he/she becomes your enemy.
