It’s a nice buy. Just make sure it’s actually only the engine that needs replacing and the price is right.

Thank you

Many things can cause this problem. You’d need to take it to a professional ac technical engineer with a vacuum machine to diagnose your exact problem

Mehn, the language you used to advertise this car might deter people from even pricing it.
You want to discard it as it is not serving its purpose.

You could have just said u want to upgrade or you got another and does not need this one for now.
That your discard language makes it look like the car is trash and you are tired of it.

Boss my mechanic claimed he changed gear cup in my Honda baby boy and sensor, although I didn't see anything he changed inside my boot as used to drop them He said cup is 5k while sensor is 10k, I'm thinking that guy want to run me street. After repairing he used the car for his personal movement for 3days and finished 3/4 tank fuel and returned it almost empty knowing fully well that there is fuel scarcity
Abeg do you have any idea of the price.

Good evening, please what are the implications of driving a car without thermostat

Your engine will always be running cold

Your engine oil will always be too thick

Your engine oil will quickly be forming heavy black sludge

Your engine will begin shorting oil and smoking early

Your cylinder walls and pistons won’t get proper lubrication due to thick oils and it’s resultant sludge

Your engine will struggle to reach its correct operating temperature

Your fuel consumption will double

The sound of the engine will always be too high/loud

Your cooling fans will be working overtime and easily give up the ghost at the time you least expect it

If external relays are powering your cooling fans then they can easily quit working at the wrong time as well thereby overheating your engine and leading to head gasket damage

all these and many more will be your portion if you should allow your mechanic delete your thermostat and run your fans directly

So use your tongue to count your teeth

Scan your car first but if I’m to guess

Your intake bypass thermal valve is stuck open (huge vacuum leak)

Your iacv is malfunctioning

One or more of your brake discs need changing

One of your gearbox solenoids is clogged with dirt or malfunctioning

Are you driving without a thermostat? Are your cooling fans running directly?

If your radiator is in good shape then it’s either your cooling fans are malfunctioning or your water pump is on its way out.

i want take a try and buy a fairly used honda accord with bad engine. i know that i will buy a new engine to replace the old one. the car is accord 2009/2010. experience hands please is it good to buy a honda car that have engine issues with my intention of buying a new engine since most Nigerian used cars have one fault or the other, but buying a new engine will it give me rest of mind.

Please, go for the 012 of that Accord series. That is the last year of that car model. It has better transmission. Aside engine issuues,These 08-010 also have issues with transmission. And if you're buying new engine, make sure you buy 2.4 litre engine. The bigger I4 engine. The smaller 2.0 has issue with oil dilution. That's oil mixing with the fuel over the useful life of the car.

I feel like Honda makes strong I4 engine that is enough for all manner of driving. It has better hp than Toyota but, If you can afford the maintenance and fueling of V6 go ahead. But, If it's your only car, it's not worth it. Considering the fuel situation. Community driving doesn't bring out the best of v6. You stop and go hear and there. Except high ways. But, It has more hp. That's more pulling power even with AC and full loads from rest. Just extra cost of fuel, oil, maintenance and of course lower resale value.
