Exactly, its like saying NATO should activate article 5 because Turkey and Israel are at war. No one in NATO would join Turkey to fight against Israel. NATO was built primarily to check USSR and its succession state - Russia. And in some cases maybe China. Outside of those two, its going to be hard to get a consensus on war through NATO.
