It’s not bad and a lot of my friends prefer it actually as they are nicely built.

I just prefer a house with space where I can chill for summer or move around and not sharing facilities with neighbours.

Do you know how many times in a year you’ll be evacuated due to false fire alarms? …..

Finally, it’s not like it’s cheaper than regular houses so it mostly boils down to choice and availability for People.

Bros, I love the fact that there’s no yardwork to be done and security/parking usually provided but in a city like NY, you are lucky if you have a neighbor that is actually willing to help lessen the noise, but even then you're still going to hear their daily tasks. My Latina neighbor upstairs constantly gets knacked by her bf almost every night. I got to know she’s Latina cox of the different Spanish she speaks whenever they are knacking..
My next door neighbor politely asked them to quiet down. And since then be like them dey knack codedly.

Some noise just cannot be helped, and has everything to do with the cheaply built structures.

I can relate to this cos I used to live in a high rise 10th floor and some of the tenant will be smoking in their room and trigger off fire alarms. Meaning you have to take staircase from 10th floor down and back up. Sometimes in the middle of the night

E get one time wey I begin think say I will just ignore these fire alarms jare. Imagine alarm at 2AM by the time you go down the stairs and up, sleep don comot for eye
Its also about how congested the city is. its economical to build a high rise on a 2 acre that will house like 400 people when a single family home max will house 20-30 people on 2acres of land
