There is this guy that is working in my place of work, he is also a serving corp member. The thing is that this guy has already started working in another place. Now he comes to our place of work like once or twice in a week, the head of his dept knows this and does not know what to do. Meanwhile our boss doesnt know this because I am sure he will not allow such thing. This guy expects to be paid at the end of the month and i dont agree with this. I have taken a decision that when it is time to pay salary, i will approach his head of dept and tell him that the guy must not be paid full salary for whatsoever. Like this guy earns over 80k from his new job, 33k allawee, and over 80k in this our organization while some people are working 24/7 in this place and they are earning 35k. Boss, sumtin happened last month and it affected me. i was not the one in charge but our boss penalized me for it... He isn't wrong to work two or more jobs since he can. I mean, if he is fired, you aren't going to take his space right? And there's no guarantee the other person coming in doesn't have another job (even if it's remote), that pays more.

The first issue is; Is it part of your job description to monitor random employees? Is he a subordinate to you? Whether or not it is against company policy isn't your first concern. You need to be sure that you're doing this because it is within your purview.

If you have no business reporting that, just check how his activities affect your work; then take steps to redress that. But if he doesn't affect your own output in any way; please start trying out remote jobs. That way you won't be bothered by random people doing 2/3 jobs.

By the way, if it's as dreadful as you make his presence appear, who is the manager that didn't notice his absence?
