raumdeuter: Special Prosecutors are independent. No timeline. Though in this case I'm sure he will be aggressive and try to get done early enough before the 2024 election season begins simply for the optics of indicting Trump in the midst of it. My bet would be he's be done in the middle of next year. But there are two wildcards. 1.) Look for Donald Trump to drag it out as much as possible. Appeal anything he can up to the Supreme Court. Delay is his friend. And the US courts aren't setup for quick rulings. 2.) The Special Prosecutor can also look into any ancillary issues that arise. And given it's Trump, who knows what may wiggle out. 2 Likes |

All that's playing out before our eyes is because slowpokejoe and his China criminal son and enterprise is about to be exposed for the whole wide world to see. It is slowpokejoe that's clinging to the straws - weaponising the DOJ for his own personal gains. It's slowpokejoe that about to be gutted It's slowpokejoe and family who'd be politically incapacitated for the rest of his miserable, thieving life 1 Like |

It is a deranged ideology, that considers it better for the society, that an 82 years old bravely takes a hammer blow on the head, than that the lonely elder picks up an AR 15, and welcomes the homeinvader that barges into his bedroom for God's sake, at 2 am for God"s sake, with a volley of bullets TO THE CHEST. |

A Columbus man was sentenced to three years in prison for joining insurrectionists at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Dustin Byron Thompson blamed then-president Donald Trump for directing him to assault the Capitol. “I was following presidential orders,” Thompson testified at his trial. Columbus defense attorney Sam Shamansky argued at the trial that Thompson and others had been brainwashed to believe the 2020 presidential election — which President Joe Biden won by more than seven million votes — was stolen and were acting on the direction of Trump to go to the Capitol and “fight like hell.” 2 Likes

Billionaire Blackstone CEO and Republican megadonor Steve Schwarzman has no plans to fund President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign for the White House. Schwarzman, one of the GOP's biggest donors, has been a staunch Trump ally since late in the 2016 presidential election. He criticized Trump after a mob of the former president's supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. "It is time for the Republican party to turn to a new generation of leaders and I intend to support one of them in the presidential primaries," he said. 1 Like

BREAKING: The Manhattan District Attorney's Office has restarted its investigation into Trump's hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. Prosecutors under New York D.A. Alvin Bragg are intending to retrain their focus on the hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, who claimed she had a sexual encounter with Trump just after his wife Melania gave birth to their only son. Porn star Stormy Daniels passed a lie detector test in 2011 after claiming she had unprotected sex with Donald Trump. The polygraph result said there was a 99 percent probability she was telling the truth about her 2006 fling with the President, which he denies. 1 Like

ono: 1.) If you read my post you would know that I was delineating between voters in the Republican party. That 70mil you quoted are Republicans who voted for trump. A lot with their noses held who voted for the Republican nominee because they are Republicans. How many of those would support Trump in a primary? Or even still support him? 2.) This should tell you everything you need to know about Republicans and their view of Democracy. The Republican led Georgia government is appealing to stop early voting this Sat. for the Special election after they lost in district court. IjeBos: Simple. The entire early voting process is fraught with corruption "Made by DemonRats in Hell" - cannot be trusted. But that's just a small drip. The plan is to make Herschel win - without Trump's backing. So the RINOs will claim Trump is the problem with the party and thus banish him. It's all part of the plan. |

ono: You do know the Republicans control Georgia. So, everybody is going to cheat to hurt Trump even Republicans? The same Republicans that somehow allowed the Dems to cheat so they didn't win the midterms. And the same Republicans who couldn't cheat enough that Herschell Walker didn't fully lose the first time. So, your argument is to get rid of in person Sat. voting that helps long lines on election day? Or do you think we should get rid of voting all together and just pick a leader? Honestly, why would anyone be against more voting? Really, you should at least flush out a more coherent Conspiracy Theory. Yours seems rather lazy. Be a dedicated crazy person at least. 2 Likes |

Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by IjeBos(m): 6:08pm On Nov 22, 2022 |
benalvino3: Half the story. The full story is that Republicans who lead some Arizona Counties are delaying certifying their county elections for some clearly political reasons. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/3745387-two-arizona-counties-delay-certification-of-2022-election-results/ Cochise County, a Republican-leaning area in the state’s southeastern corner, delayed its certification on Friday after three conspiracy theorists claimed the county’s vote-counting machines were not properly certified. ... Arizona Elections Director Kori Lorick refuted the allegations at Friday’s meeting, detailing that although the labs used to test voting machines did not receive updated certification ahead of the midterms, the U.S. Elections Assistance Commission had confirmed they were in compliance. Lorick called it an “administrative error.” ... In Mohave County, which is located in Arizona’s northwestern corner, the five Republicans who comprise the Board of Supervisors delayed their certification of the county canvass in a split vote on Monday. 1 Like |

IjeBos: Bros, Georgia is no longer a RED state - at least for now, until when Trump is undone. . It’s become one of those states where “anything goes” - the highest bidder takes the day. Remember that the governor and Secretary of State are both RINOs, and a key part of the establishment. They will do the bidding of their friends in the swamp. I'll ignore your other useless comments. |

Former Republican speaker of the house, Paul Ryan invents a new category of anti-Trumpism. "I'm proud of the accomplishments [during the Trump administration] -- of the tax reform, the deregulation and criminal justice reform -- I'm really excited about the judges we got on the bench, not just the Supreme Court, but throughout the judiciary. But I am a Never-Again Trumper. Why? Because I want to win, and we LOSE with Trump. It was really clear to us in '18, in '20 and now in 2022." 1 Like
