LadyRosa: Yeah long gone to oblivion I'm talking about Nigeria why won't you stop talking about England when you know you can't compete with Yoruba there. Top 10 best Universities in Nigeria is dominated by Universities in South west South west states dominated the list of states with the most students that sat and Passed WAEC Recent top 10 best JAMB results Yoruba dominated the list with 6 Yoruba on the list, but in your delusional mind Yoruba are lagging behind you lol. Yoruba have long past the level of measuring Education with mushrooms secondary schools awards, It is for you guys to at least feel you are not that behind. 1 Like

Elemosho478:They are talking of secondary education, you're talking of tertiary education. Is your IQ so low that you cannot decipher. Why lying effortlessly here. The 2021 statistics shows that south east came best in the WAEC results released while south west came second worse, below is the link to it and extract from the link. Across Nigeria in 2021, a total of 838,486 public secondary schools’ students sat for WASSCE out of which 618,858 students made five credits including English and Mathematics. That amounted to a national pass rate of 74 percent which implies that 74 students out of every 100 that sat for the examination from public secondary schools across Nigeria in 2021 made five credits including English Language and Mathematics. In 2019, available data showed that 879,341 students of public secondary schools sat for the same examination out of which 447,809 students made five credits including English and Mathematics, representing a national pass rate of 51 percent. This showed that 51 out of every 100 students made five credits including English and Mathematics. However, in the north west, 61 out of every 100 students that sat for WASSCE made five credits including English Language and Mathematics in 2021. Although it was an improvement over the performance of public secondary schools in that region when 40 out of every 100 students in 2019 made five credits including English Language and Mathematics, it is the worst performance when compared with other geopolitical zones in Nigeria in 2021. South West recorded the second worst result after north west in 2021. Our analysis showed that 63 out of every 100 students in the region made five credits including English Language and Mathematics in 2021. In 2019, it was 52 out of every 100 students that passed with five credits including English and Mathematics. South East emerged as the best zone as 90 out of 100 students in that region made five credits including English and Mathematics in 2021. In 2019, it was 71 out of 100. South-South came second with 88 percent pass rate which means 88 students out of every 100 made five credits in 2021 including English and Mathematics. It was 66 out of 100 in 2019. The north central recorded 76 percent pass rate in 2021, meaning 76 out of every 100 students made five credits in WASSCE as against 47 out of 100 in 2019. https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/amp/news/article/south-south-south-east-outshine-north-west-south-west-in-waec-performance/ The 2022, WAEC has deny having statistics on state by state basis. Elemosho478:Mr. Man, see the way you're embarrassing yourself. Did you read what was written underneath at all? It was boldly written not official from JAMB. One need to question your education. You even claimed, Yoruba has long past the level of measuring education with mushroom secondary schools awards. No wonder a well known citadel of wisdom region had become its former self, now trailing north west in education. You forgot that the basic is far important that the tertiary. The way you groom the children, the way you meet them at the top. This may be the same mentality that our state governors in south west are nursing that they have neglected our once cherished education.

IfnobeGod20: You are the one with the lowest IQ, everyone know tertiary education is the highest form of Education not secondary school so how should we rate secondary education performance higher than that of Tertiary education? Well I can't blame you, IPOB have the tendency of their brain working upside down. I'm basing my judgment on recent Jamb top 10 results and recent Waec NBS statistics, even in the past statistics you guys are celebrating the number of students that sat and passed Waec in South west states were always more than in the East, all you guys does is celebrate Percentage forgetting the population factors that South west students population that sat for Waec were more than the East which means the percentage will always favour you, but it doesn't really show the true reality. If 1000 students sat for Waec in Anambra and 900 passed and 2000 students sat for Waec in Lagos and 1500 passed, the percentage of students that passed will always favour Anambra but in reality the total numbers of students that sat for Waec in Lagos and the total numbers of students that passed were more than that of Anambra. That's exactly what is happening, all you guys does is celebrate percentage but the numbers of students that sat for Waec and passed Waec in the west are always more than the East. https://www.nairaland.com/7292449/south-west-highest-number-waec-students 1 Like |

BanyXchi: I don't blame you. I blame your wicked politicians and leaders that you can history from your school curriculum. if not they would have told you that Igbos were the ones leading in education, foreign affairs and every sector you can think of. Before the war igbos were better educationally, industrially, economically etc the only setback we had was as a result of the Civil war. But even at that we have progressed even more than our oppressors (more successful than any region). So I wonder where you got that line from. Those who underestimate Igbos do so at their own peril.

IfnobeGod20: It is the official result you can Google it to confirm, you are the delusional one here You think South west dominating the best tertiary institutions in Nigeria is a fluke? if South west isn't good in Secondary and primary level it is not possible. The National Bureau of Statistics release the WAEC result statistics few days ago for 2021 data and that was where StatiSense also did the data analysis for the WAEC result Statistics they released few days ago. However, StatiSense do not give all the true picture of the statistics as intended. From the Data released from NBS, the SouthWest has the highest number of students that sat for WAEC and also the highest number of students that have 5 credits and above including English & Maths. This is followed by the South South Zone Below are the charts derived from the NBS official data and below is the link to the data. Tareq1105:He has been taken responsibility of the investment. He did say, he invested in it but if the investment is not yielding the expected return, it is never is fault because he doesn't control economy, he is never the minister of Finance or CBN governor. The investment that Soludo says worth nothing, is the same investment that had employed over 10,000 Anambrans and Soludo says, it worth nothing. Should those people be retrenched before it can worth something? Every business is a risk and thankfully, the business wasn't just done this year but for over 10 years. He should have itemize the returns in each year till date. No company can beat their chest that their monthly or yearly returns is bigger than that of three or four years ago because of bad Economy of the country. Even in our home. 1 Like 1 Share |

Elemosho478:Firstly, you think everyone that comment against the lie peddle about certain issue is Igbo. Please erase that one from your mind. Let me also quickly correct this. The highest form of education constitutionally is secondary education and not tertiary education. Stop deceiving people. Meanwhile, this is ordinary statistics, I know it is a difficult thing to understand and that is why you're embarrassing yourself up and down. That 10 people passed a certain exam in south west and 6 passed in south east, that doesn't make south west better than south east, because the percentage of pass will be calculated based on the number that sat for the exam. So the number you're peddling about cannot help any state government to make informed decisions to plan for her education policy, because he may think with the number of pass alone without the overall percentage passed, the state is doing well but the reverse is the case. Until you understand simple arithmetic and statistics before you know you're just showcasing ignorance here to deceive people. Let me even help you with simple arithmetic to clear your ignorance of statistics. If for example 30 people sat for NECO exam in south west and 18 passed. The percentage pass mark would be: 18/30 * 100 = 6*10= 60% If for example 20 people sat for the same NECO exam in south east and 14 passed. The percentage pass mark would be: 14/20 * 100 = 7*10 = 70% Yes, many students passed in south west but what was the percentage pass mark in relation to the number that sat for the exam? I hope you now understand simple statistics. The 2021 statistics shows that south west recorded the second worst results after north west. I have posted the link and I am reposting it here again. https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/amp/news/article/south-south-south-east-outshine-north-west-south-west-in-waec-performance/ Your argument that south west has more number that passed is untenable in policy making and stop embarrassing yourself on that. I am from south west and I know that during our time, no region outperform us in education and agriculture but why the reverse nowadays? Let us start telling ourselves the truth, the standard of education in south west has gone down and need to be revamped, before we become like northern region. Besides, the news is about secondary school education, you're the one that brought in tertiary education standard. This is how you guys like derailing thread, instead to focus on the topic at hand. Danisaint112:the reason why the Yorubas are in thesame country with you today is because of the revolutionary civil war they were fighting for decades that made them weaker and conquered by the Brits. Before the whites cames, the Yorubas had empires and kingdom with well structured system of gov, what were your ancestors doing then I don't want to insult or start telling you about history, but we were never and will never be mates pls. During the regional system of government, the Old Western Region was the best region not only in Nigeria but in the whole of Africa. The Yorubas made several 'firsts' and infact was urbanised and industrialized than many rich European countries today. The Yoruba were not only better than the eastern region but better than both region together in all spheres of life. Go and verify!!! Every single of your greatest leaders from Zik to Okpara admitted before their death that Awo was the best to come out of this contraption. I agree with you, it's very very painful that history has been removed from the curriculum, if not you won't be coming here with such gibberish, Yorubaland has always been more industrialized, educated, urbanised, richer than your country before the civil war and today no one suffers from this unitary system of government as much as the Yorubas. About the stats you sent here, the SE has the smallest population of just 21million and the SW with almost double of that, with percentage, the SE still has more poor people than the SW go and check the full details of the stats you sent here, you guys are lucky because of this Unitary System that's made other regions better while the Yorubas have regressed, we were never your mate. Go and verify!!!
