Just two days ago, I also dreamt of a hideous python wreaking havoc in the neighborhood, eating kids, and stalking individuals. I woke up wondering if I could write a good story using the details of the dream as I believe it would make a good movie if only could remember more of the story. The only demonic attacks on your family are the ones you allow by your refusal to obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. All the prayers in the world will not cause God to change His mind regarding that.

I am afraid it is instead a wolf in sheep's clothing that will inform OP that his prayer ritual will somehow make God to "destroy every demonic attack targeted towards me and my family (nuclear and extended)", basically cause God to go against His own Word. God said that, over 2000 years ago, that He already overcame the world on behalf of all of His followers: this is addition to giving them His peace so they don't have to fight any battles or enemies even through suffering and tribulation. So, telling folks to fight battles using God's name is akin to revealing your trust isn't in God but in your own idea ---that is the emblem of the wolves of which I am clearly not one of.
