I hope they do this. 3 teams in 16 groups doesn't sound fun at all.

Japan: The True WC Nightmare of the Pass Master teams

Courtesy: OptaJoe

2 - Since detailed World Cup records began (1966), there are only two instances of a team losing a game despite attempting 700+ passes:

Spain vs Japan tonight
Germany vs Japan last week

The two times it happened came against JAPAN. Wahala for pass master teams.

Japan depicts a team that makes the most of the little they see of the ball. Interesting.

Croatia is next for Japan.

Hope NFF is even learning?

Hope their "technical committee" is taking notes

Why can’t Morocco beat Spain?
Spain are beatable, just operate a high line defending and hit them on counters and they are down. Same ways Mourinho was beating Barca then.
If Morocco defends well and are clinical enough they can beat Spain

KINGinVAHALA:

Alright, thanks.
Right now I think the semi’s is already sure for Argentina and with what I’m seeing, Argentina will gets to the semis without conceding to Australia and then USA/Netherlands and if they defends very well they can use counter to beat the Spanish side if it’s a Argentina vs Spain semi’s
I partially agree
Argentina semi-final certified
Not sure they won’t concede
The games gets tougher from KO stages

Ghana to draw 2-2 with Uruguay and move on while South Korea will lose 2-1 to Portugal.

My final prediction.

The loss to Saudi was just a one off, something like a match that was fixed.
Argentina hardly concede, they have played some of the biggest countries with good attackers but yet they never conceded and that’s one thing that has been taken this present Argentina to higher heights.

If 2 makes it as far as semis, That Abuja riot will be introduction cos fans go change am for dem. No more carpenters, especially for the cadet teams.

Nigeria is still the Jewel of Africa at this tournament, but majorly thanks to pre2000s. Morocco and Senegal have a chance to overtake Nigeria. Ghana as well(If they forget about Revenge and play their game with their heads in the present)

As for that Japan vs Spain. I foresee a day Spain will be forced to abandon TikiTaka. It will happen soon. 17% possession for Japan and they taught these guys a Tanaka Lesson?? Who TikiTaka epp?

But they stand a better chance than Uruguay. A draw will see them through. Uruguay needs an outright win to be in contention.

Possession for possession sake. I trust oyibo people. They always introspect. The world has moved on from tiki taka. Spain is the only one holding on to it because it delivered trophies to them but they will inevitably be compelled to abandon it.

I like teams that play like Pelligrini's Man City or Jupp Heynckes champion's league winning Bayern Munich side. Direct flowing football not the crab dance called tiki taka.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 1:43pm On Dec 02, 2022
Nigeria's WC Legacy is built strongly in the foundations and achievements of the Super Eagles of the 90s (our first and only true Golden Generation so far), part of which crept into the early 2000s. There is no breaking away yet from references to them.

And it is 17.7% ball possession. Approximately 18%. Similar possession count between Spain and Costa Rica.

And that pass map you dropped belongs to Rodri alone. 204 passes. Japan made just 153 passes yesterday but still bagged 3 pts coz their Pass volume/Attack transition ratio was lethal. They made good use of the little they had of the ball and their attack overload in quick transtion plays helped especially for the second goal. They had 6 men in or close to the box.

You have been crying since del bosque days and they didn’t abandon it

They have qualifed for the next round ,if Morocco wins then they deserves to win ,if Spain wins then they deserves it also ,you cannot change their style of play ,anytime they are playing you should switch off the tv or tune to somewhere else

All your teams that doesn’t use tiki taka what have they won cheesy cheesy
