People always try to overanalyze transcripts. My own opinion is that these VOs simply have a quota of rejected applicants to meet and they sometimes select them at random. You'll see some people, no funding, no home ties and their given their visa. You'll see others that have used everything complete yet get rejected.

Another guy, confirmed he intended to come back to do his NYSC and work in Nigeria. Once asked if his brother (who is a part sponsor of his program) returned from his studies for the NYSC program, the response was negative.

If your only answer to why you would return after your studies is, "so you can go through NYSC and work in Nigeria", I'm afraid you are ill prepared.

Is NYSC some sacred thing that pulls you back here? If yes, why will it happen for you when your brother went to school and never came back for this NYSC - instead he got a job with a big tech and stayed back? There already is a pattern, no?

Even if NYSC is part of your bucket list, shouldn't you also speak to what this degree will allow you do/become in Nigeria?
