Submitted my passport on the 28th October 2022 for students visa

Got notified with VFS Abuja that is under process at the IRCC Office on Thu Nov 10 2022.

November 14th from my portal I saw a final decision message and saw my visa status has been issued and I was sent an approval letter.

Today being December 5th, I have not yet received my passport or got a message from vfs Abuja.

I only paid for the transmission fee and with no dhl return envelope.

Does anyone have similar issues ? How can we go about it, thanks all.

You need to do 2-way DHL or UPS to be able to receive your passport. This is especially so because VFS currently does not welcome picking up in person.

I advise you call or email VFS to enquire how to work around this situation. Check for their contacts via Google.

I had same tracking number series and got the visa with no issues.

How far bro, what did it eventually mean? Did you get to find out? Was the response positive or otherwise?

Even with a valid US visa, there is no guarantee you'll get a response soon.

I applied with one in April 2022, got the response in October 2022 and visa in November 2022.

If you do get PPR at about the time you travel, I hear you can submit you passport while in the US. You'll need to go some pages back on this thread for details. All the best.

Please id appreciate an urgent response. I have a valid US visa and i have an upcoming trip on last week of February ,however I intend applying for a Canada visit visa, i would like to know how long it takes to get my visa stamped. I wouldn't want to have my passport stuck at the Canadian embassy.

Hello. Can you try to track via the VFS tracking website and see their response. Maybe since you didn't pay for return, you may have to pick it up yourself.

I want to travel to Canada I don't have anyone there and my passport is virgin, I don't plan coming back to Nigeria again probably until I get a stay. I have little business that is yet to boom which I can say it's within the range of 1million. Please how do I go about it? I have read so many contributions of people here. Please, i actually want to do this myself since I see that people here are doing it themselves. this is not a mistake, that is were the application was treated.

We dont have Visa Officer that attend to Visa application in Nigeria, they use to send to (Nairobi,beijing, UK mostly)

Dont let money stop you from any dream. If you want to come to canada and move there thats ok I know there are several people here who have nothing home and abroad but made their way here. You have to put in the work the time and research. And be careful not to get scammed from desperation. There are ways Jobs can give you LMIA sponsorship
You can get academic scholarship
You source proof of fund from family and friends
Go on youtube linkedin so many platforms where people have found means to move abroad. We all did not get here with our millions. I hope you get my point its a lot of work that will be easy if we all have loaded cash somewhere but this is our reality. I wish you all the best.

Hi, I have tracked but still saying the same thing, still in process. Went to vfs and email them severally, they said still with the embassy processing.

But From the online portal My visa has been issued since November 14 and I can see my visa status and validity.

Up Till now no notification from vfs about my passport return for collection.

Good day guys, my wife and children are planning on going on a visit to Canada. My sister in law and her family has been living in Canada for close to 15 years now and they are all citizens of Canada. She will be sending us an invitation letter for the journey. The issue now is that all our passports (Nigerian Passport) are virgin as we have never travelled out of Nigeria before. Will it be possible for us to process the travelling ourselves once we have the invitation letter or we should go through all these travel agents. We have the required proof of funds for the journey. All advice will be greatly appreciated

Visa application is treated in Nairobi and the Visa is printed and affixed on your passport either in Lagos or Abuja

Please guys is it just me or why are most people visitor visa stamp location I've been seeing lately is showing Nairobi instead of Lagos or Abuja. My mom just got hers and the visa stamp says Nairobi. And she sent her passport to Abuja using UPS 2 way courier. So guys is this a mistake or is that how visa stamp is now ?

Don't go through Agents. Make the application yourself. Just bear in mind that your lack of travel will be a big hindrance to your visa issuance and it doesn't matter if your hosts have lived there for even 30years. Just ensure you have home ties like a very good job, business and family to return to. Good luck.

apply yourself. Those agents don't have any magic wand and special slots. Apply, show your home ties, proof of funds and justify the trip.

Please can someone respond to this. Can GCKey portal still be used for Visitor visa application? Or it must be the new portal

Husband admission letter, enrollment, sin, school i.d, invite letter, consent letter for the kids,payslip, account balance, tax certificate,pension, letter of explanation,my school certificate, work appointment letter, parent I.d and siblings, (house,car,business and land document), children birth certificate, and letter of attestation to return back to nigeria from court(since we are many),marriage certificate, police report, family picture,passport page(first time applicant with no travel history)
