A search team former President Donald Trump's attorneys were court-pressed to hire discovered at least two records marked classified at a storage unit the ex-president used in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to multiple reports, possibly confirming suspicions the August Mar-A-Lago FBI raid did not recover all records Trump held that were marked as classified.

The searches were carried out around Thanksgiving, and Trump’s legal team has alerted the Justice Department of the finding, according to the New York Times, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes, but the former president has repeatedly claimed he declassified all the records he took with him after leaving the White House, though he hasn’t provided evidence to back up that assertion.

Paul Whelan's brother, described the news in a statement as “a disappointment for us. And a catastrophe for Paul.” But he said “the Biden administration made the right decision to bring Ms. Griner home and to make the deal that was possible, rather than waiting for one that wasn’t going to happen.”

So many levels to this.
Biden really only had 2 options, negotiate for both's release or Griner. Given the circumstances/background of how they were both incarcerated, given what African Americans have done for him in South Carolina (gave him the nomination), in the election and in the midterms he couldn't have chosen Wheelan over Griner. Just plain politics. But, he has to be prepared to be seen as playing racial politics.

The Republicans have to be careful as well. Wheelan may have been court martialed from the Marine's so playing the Marine card may blow up. They also have to be careful in alienating the Black Vote.

Also, Putin clearly knew what he was doing. Still trying to cause division and racial tension in the US.
