However, a huge sum dropped the moment i just packed my things on that morning, and the moment I left there, and rented another new apartment, a big breakthrough came.

Within a year, a lot has been achieved. Truly, some houses are perdition.

Some might say all this is superstition but that is because you haven't had any experience about the whole issue. I'm in one presently, moved in about a year and half ago. Business that was already booming gradually died, family issues amplified by 100%, already sold almost everything in the apartment (chairs, fridge, sound systems even down to kitchen equipments) just to feed.

Most times I just look up smile because I still can't believe things could get this worse all in a year and few months.

About a month ago someone I recently got close to in the area asked where I lived and I told him, he just started shaking his head then he told me a member of his church lived in the apartment last and the family also went through hell before they could get out and I hadn't even told him what I was going through yet before he told me about the apartment...

In one too currently... Over a year been wanting to pack out...it was even a new house when we packed with three others ... Now three others don pack with fight say dem no see money pay ... Dem brought in some others... Am still there... Now the others that left are doing very fine now ... They all started house project ...

I rented an apartment at Ikorodu sometime ago, the caretaker had a disagreement with the landlady, the caretaker because of that told me the lady buried charms in the compound. Didn't bother me to be honest cos I have this believe it won't affect me in anyway. I cashed out steady before living the house for mine. It depends on your mindset.

The rent is not mmensurate with the cars parked in the compound .

Tennant cannot be paying anything above 500k per year and no car or nice car for the compound.

I don't know about other states but for Lagos and Ogun state whenever you see the scorpion insignia in front of the house (the vent slightly below the roof) my brother RUN oooo....

To the normal eyes it's just a decorative brick but when you look closely you will see it's actually a scorpion shaped brick. I mean who in his/her right senses live where scorpions hangout

Hahahaha I have faced hell in two separate new houses, 3 bedroom executive flats and I am still recovering after moving out from the last one.

Check what time shops close, or if they lock their front gates from 6:pm if they do there’s a very high chance the area is not secured

I have stayed in a compound in PH Psychiatric road, omo no man give the wife belle for the compound, all kids dere were born b4 dey packed in d compound, even my street u cant get a work and work for 6 month you be fired.
I lost jobs tire for that street till I packed out

When moving into a an apartment look into the followings

1.Ask people around how good the apartment is

2.Avoid compound where someone is being buried

3.If you find anything strange in the apartment it's a red flag

I can boldly tell you that 60% of houses in Lagos are not too good for someone to live in,talking from experience this landlords do the unthinkable.

I don't know about other places but you see that lagos e no easy na to get strong mind.

As a big boy, I moved into an apartment, and a few months later, I began begging for food on the street. A friend of mine who rented the apartment already had a rental agreement before his pastor warned him not to live there. He then asked me to live there and pay him the money. I moved from 100 to zero, and I will never forget in my life what happened to me. I later discovered that the house's owner was buried inside. Every night, I had a nightmare in which everything stopped working.

Wake up in the middle of the night and urinate in a plastic bottle, add salt to the urine and sprinkle it all over the house. If you don't see improvement come back her and insult me.

Do it for like a week. Make sure it's your early morning urine.

One of the reason Rent payment in Nigeria should be monthly or Quarterly. Some persons know that the house they are currently staying is bringing bad luck to them but they can't leave immediately cos many can't forgo their remaining rent in the landlord's hand or are already broke that they can't afford to pay for a new one year plus the other charges that come with it, so they rather remain there instead of going out to pay another 1 year to a new landlord

If the landlord lives there, or had lived there in the past, don't move in.

Infact, rent newly built house the landlord lives far from or probably lives abroad.

I lived in a house in Ketu, by Osogun bus stop. I spent about 4 years and each year the compound lost one person. Between 2004 to 2008 when I left there 4 tenants died. It's no joke.

The house was evil personified. The surprising think was that people around the place knew. Myself, wife and my children left in one piece. But we saw hell that I can't afford to explain.

We did not know anything until the day we were leaving. A certain old mama on that street spoke Yoruba to my wife in this vein; "thank God that that you people are leaving there intact. God has delivered you people". It was a shock.

one of the reasons you guys couldn't leave was the thought of getting another huge money to pay for rent, caution. We should advocate for monthly rent instead of yearly

Hahaha, e be like me and you dey do competition. I don sell everything, na my wife chain washing machine say it's not going anywhere... My target now is my upholstery... From grace to pit toilet just within 2yrs of moving in that apartment. Somehow, the street is conservative... They don't like saying what they don't know. The thing self dey make me laugh because, I know my capabilities and technical know how... But how i landed inside dongeon is what I don't know. They brought one new reverend for our church. When I saw him, I liked him my spirit say make I go visit am. Immediately the man prayed for me I started noticing some strange things the next Monday. They are actually affecting me now but I am seeing that it's leading me to where I no no. Now, the situation has mandated that I will live in another state from next year. Looking like it's a touch of God, I feel good somehow. Hopefully, situation go change. My wife also is suspecting our current house. The people who lived here were not living well before they left and our neighbors are facing the same thing. Not all houses has good fortunes, it may not be ritual but bad fortune. Nobody knows the foundation. May God see us through.

OP I salute you, this thread is very educative that I have learned from other people's experience about diabolic landlords and landladies, my story is similar with what others have experienced.

I had a very bad experience when I moved into my current apartment about 4 years ago.
Before I got this place and moved in, I was squatting with my guy and his family.
On the very first day I moved into my new apartment, despite my personal prayers for the place and all, the next morning I was to deliver a vehicle to the owner, a tokunbor vehicle for that matter.

I had an accident on my way to the place, in my life I've never had any form of accident or anything close, that was the very first bad omen I had about this apartment.

Ever since then it's not been easy for me at all, it's been full of ups and downs but I know I'll be triumphant at the end of it all.

This 2023 is my year of divine breakthrough, blessings and settlement .

My brother count yourself lucky. Sometimes it might not be the landlords doing, some land had been dedicated to strange altars, and some event happened on some land that gave spiritual being legality to operate there. Some are portals to another dimensions.
