Good Day everyone,

How was the exams yesterday? Was it strictly based on what everyone applied for? I doubt. Anyway, I wish everyone good luck.

For the doubting Thomas who said 4000 people were shortlisted against the 15000 I wrote here recently, I think he can now see from the number of people alone in his center (Over 200 per center).
In Kano State alone, three (3) centers were used and each of the centers has nothing less than 200.

Additionally, I have further information to share. If you believe, fine, If you dont, I care not! \

One important point I would like to make is that NERC is not Nigerian Police Force or Army, Civil Defence etc that can recruit 10,000, 20,000 at a go. It is a regulatory agency like NCC, SEC, NAFDAC and so on with limited number of positions to fill.

At the initial stage of the recruitment, the Commission intended to recruit just 57 people. I repeat 57!!! i.e. minimum of 1 person per position at every branch where those positions were required. Then after when the pressure became too much (from those we all all know - The Politicians), they decided to double the figure to 114 and subsequently rounded it up to 150.

About 15,000 wrote this exam and it will be mark by Jamb or one recruitment agency like that and not the Testmi again.

"Whoever that did well in this exam (even if they are up to 1000 people) will be invited for interview and at the end, only 150 will be hired", Said my Credible Source.

Referring to the Caliber of people we all saw at the venues yesterday, I dont see that as a problem because it is an EXPERIENCED HIRE. Truth to be told, you dont expect to see fresh graduates in EXPERIENCE HIRE recruitment (respect to the fresh graduates).

Note:

If the leadership of the commission can maintain their stand of not allowing external influence in this recruitment process, believe me, this recruitment will be one of the most transparent you have ever seen. The signs are there for all to see. Those who were shortlisted can attest to this.

I know 5 people who are well connected with high ranking NERC staff but today, they didnt make it to this stage.

Once again, I wish all of us Good Luck.

Hmmm, very true, candidates should also note that Federal Character would come to play even in this last test.If your State has only one slot and you are the overall second best while the overall best is also the best just have it in mind that only one person would be picked. If you score 50% and the best from your state you automatically going to compete for the position you applied for in the spirit of Federal Character, this is nothing but the exact procedure that will be employed in the final shortlisting.

You guys should go study the EPSR Act from where the commission operates. It is not subjected to such things such as federal character

Isn't this way even better for the agencies themselves? Politicians contact you for slot, tell them to follow the process as you have no influence over it, shikenan.

People are busy saying the test was easy. People have said same in numerous exams I've seen and at the end lots fail. Mind you many people that termed the exam as cheap as dodo will still get their dodo burnt beyond recognition. The only thing is to rest your hope on God shikenan and stop making noise on what's cheap and what's not cheap.
Saying a test was cheap and failing a test are two different things completely. Allow people breathe while you breathe. There are too many factors that make one pass and no one except the administrators of the test can state these. I recall, when I said I finished the first one with some 20+ minutes remaining, and people doubted. Well, I finished this one with 11 mins and some seconds remaining and bounced outta the hall.
Does this mean I will pass?
Hopefully so!
Was the test cheap?
Yes it was.
Do I hope to get the job?
Yes please.
Is it a do or die affair?
By all means no!
Cheers people.

Thanks for the update. I can say this with my massive chest, the test was strictly based on what 'I' applied for. I saw how they (test administrators) struggled to set the questions within the short period of time. They did well though.
Secondly, I agree with you, Jamb officials were on ground in Kaduna. I saw them and their ID cards. I get sharp eyes.
Thanks once again bro.
Cheers.

Finally some one who clearly understands the procedure.

If u scored 50 in the last test and another person from your state scored 70, the later already has a 20 marks head start leading into yesterday’s exams.

The recruitment process will be Cumulative.

House please what is the answer to this question:
Which of the following is NOT a regulatory agency?
A.NAFDAC
B. NCC
C.Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
D.NERC

NB: I checked their website and they all claim to regulate.
Biko na who dey lie?

NAFDAC.

Instead of National Agency for Food & Drugs Administration and Control.

The option was twisted as National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration.

Mine was correctly arranged and there was 'Control' in it. The only distortion in the available options was in NERC and it remains the correct answer from my own end. Good luck!!!

Maybe that particular question was twisted for everyone. So, different answer for different candidate. NAFDAC is the correct option in my question.

Almost 100% certain, bar any last minute change.

There might even be a personality test for the finalists before the interview.

NERC are understaffed (about 200). The Plan is to add another 100 minimum.

Close to 10000 people wrote the test yesterday, not 4000 or 15000 and over 70% were just there to make up the numbers.
