DissTroy: Ngl you speak my language as a tech boy. You're the only obidient here so far that speaks numbers and makes fact based arguments for your guy. I've no doubt of your conviction in Obi, and if thos was how your crew were making arguments for the man, it would be a more convincing proposition. Closest person to you here with a similarly cerebral approach to shilling Obidience is BlueRayDick 1 Like |

At least not now , not at this precipice Nigeria has found itself at the hands of Buhari . One thing I’m sure of is if we vote either of those aforementioned 2 as president , we will see shege, barawo and banza pro max ! |

nihilistjnr: Others will just want to bully people online and shove Pitobi down your throat by fire by force. That thing is annoying. Even if you are for Pitobi and you are just asking him the normal question, Obidients will come and start attacking you and calling you names. I am not for any President that we can't scrutinize, and can't bring him under the microscope. 6 Likes 1 Share |

TrebleChamp: But I don't think we should vote along party lines. Nigeria should be at stage where we can vote an independent if we are convinced he will do well. I am 100% certain that Pitobi will come back to PDP when and if he emerges. He cannot build on the LP Presidency because he at least need 50% of the law makers if he wants to create a modern state. I am really done with PDP, but if Pitobi is their candidate, then let's see what they are cooking. 1 Like |

Bimffo: This entire premise is wrong. One there is no indication whatsoever, like in any way that Obi wishes to go back to PDP not after the level he has just achieved in the country in the political arena. Secondly, I'm prognosticating that LP wins just shy of a 3rd of the national assembly. A strong enough caucus to lobby with other groups which will be easier seeing as the leaders are not divided along strong ideological lines. What makes it easier is if the POLITICAL WILL is there and I believe Obi offers that more than the others. 3rd any reason for misspelling his name? Are you against the man? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Bimffo:Sadly their is no provision for independent candidacy in the electoral act, also i believe a lot of people who intend to vote for PO for President would most likely vote for LP all through. So we might see LP candidates winning Senatorial and House of Rep seat too.... 1 Like |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Bimffo(m): 1:33am On Dec 23, 2022 |
Donjazet2: If we are being factual, LP doesn't have the political structure to win a shy 3rd of the house of reps or even the Senate. It is just projecting unrealistic number if we are saying that. I can bet my 2 balls, that you don't know the LP Governor for your state or the LP Senator of your district, i.e. If LP has. For him to have the support of the house of reps or Senate, the reasonable thing for him to do is to move back to PDP, and one other thing is sure, LP is not winning any Governorship election in Nigeria. It is as so sure like the Death. If you want to still project unrealistic number, that's on you. But you can see the case in Osun State. Despite Obi having a very prominent relevance in Osun, and even coming all out for the Governorship candidate there, the candidate was posting Jamb Numbers as vote counts. You Obidients need to be realistic. Pitobi put LP on the map and most Nigerians know only Pitobi in LP. There is no sooth saying in that. It is just the reality on ground. And Pitobi is a nick we have given to him. Just like any other nick name. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Bimffo(m): 1:43am On Dec 23, 2022 |
TrebleChamp: A lot of people won't vote LP all through because of Pitobi. You need to be realistic. The chances of LP not having a single Law maker is greater than having a single LP law maker. I think there was one LP HOR before, but him sef don deflect. The nearest example was the election in Osun State. When Pitobi came to Osun State, people came out in droves to see him and give him their support. Then he stood and campaigned for the LP Governorship candidate like any other leader will do. The man posted Jamb Numbers as scores. Most Nigerians are carrying the flag of LP today because of Pitobi, not because of any other post. I will be very stupid not to vote for Seyi Makinde at the Oyo State Governorship election and not vote for Akin Alabi for my constituency. I don't even know the Governorship candidate for LP in Oyo State. And I don't know the Member of HOR representing Ona Ara Local Government at the Federal level. And most Oyo state indigenes have those analogy. PDP at State level. APC at Federal level. If LP has one HOR member or Senate member, it will be a big win for them. Just 1. I can see someone claiming ⅓ of the HORs. . It is delusional. It is not realistic. And Obidients have to come to terms that people are in LP solely for PO. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Bimffo: Okay so I guess you are a batist then. Okay! As for numbers of next election, I don't know where you guys get the arrogance of proclaiming that LP will perform badly. The concept of an election is very simple. People vote and whoever scores the most votes win. The LP has become a household name in politics today. All our elections till date has been low turnout elections because the masses didn't care enough and our democracy was very young. Many nigerians are just beginning to get into the idea of participating. This coming elections is promising to be a high turnout record elections due to higher voter education and sensitization now coupled with much stronger electoral laws which means we're entering a thoroughly new and unpredictable electioneering terrain. We're dealing with a new electorate and a new demography. We can only work with numbers on ground right now and the mood you can tell is different. I know you want to cast polls away but I think they help very well in guaging the mood and they've been pretty accurate before. Just look at this one held in this thread 8 years ago which I participated in. https://www.nairaland.com/2119319/nairaland-poll-february-presidential-election#30233980 Now today, you have every single poll out there showing one candidate in the lead. Like every single poll. I mean if we held one right here right now, obi will win it with a long gap like the 3 I've held before. They do street poll anywhere, Obi comes out on top, they do online poll anywhere on the internet, Obi comes out on top. Top professional polling houses conduct their professional polls, Obi comes out on top. I'm sure that if you put your extended family right now together and held a vote, I know Obi will win it. So it's very fair to say the man is the most popular of all the candidates and viewed the most favorably. And then I take you back to my earlier point, election is about who scores most vote and if the elections were held absolutely free and fair, it's logical to say Obi would win. But you can see that you people always have to talk of this "structure". As if it's not human beings we're talking about. The Obi campaign opened a website few months ago. Obidatti dot com, you click on it and you register your email and see what role you can play for the campaign, whether donating or mass text messaging, or campaign staff at your ward etc etc. Recently they announced that 5.4 million accounts had signed up to the site. If that's accurate it means, there is already 5 million sure votes as of this moment, well that number is certainly enough to win some state assembly seats and zoom national assembly seats. And mind you LP already has a senator as we're talking, a senator of imo state decamped from PDP to LP 2 months ago. There is high expectation that LP will do well in abia and are joining with apga in Enugu. PDP is on tract to lose the governorship of those states. I'm going to lengths like these to cut short the arrogance of batist that believe LP won't do well. Maybe it's a coping mechanism but denying what you're seeing around you wi be dangerous to your health when it finally happens. 2 Likes 1 Share |

It's one of the reasons I was tasked to write a manifesto/policy document which focused on tech as an economic diversification tool and alternative security sources for at least one of the top governorship candidates from my state. PYO was/is the only aspirant who had a foolproof tech-driven economy document before the primaries. Our lives (including yours) would have been changed forever. He has a direct relationship with Silicon Valley too. Obi is playing catch-up in this regard. |

reccy:Lokoja is arguably the worst capital in Nigeria. Poverty in Kogi is at an all-time high. After the recent flooding, there's been barely any funding to help the Kogi victims. Your IGR is poorer than an LGA in Rivers State. Yahaya Bello has turned Kogi into a police state. Opposition is nonexistent as they all fear for their lives and he brandishes guns to threaten them. He's owing them salaries, gratuities and more. Kogi is at the bottom of every developmental chart of Nigerian states. Workers owed for years have no hope of being paid. Peter Obi getting 5 or 15% votes in Kogi should be the least of your worries. But Nigerians don't know their priorities. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Una dey use Poll dey conclude. Poll wey be sey Atiku win for 2019. Poll wey be sey Pitobi win for Lagos. Projection next election. 1) LP won't win any Governorship election. They don't have a strong hold in any state at state level or local level. 2) LP will not have 10 HORs and 3 senator next election. It's almost fact. 2 Likes 1 Share |

DissTroy: Well, I'm not shying away from reality mr DissTroy. You're right about almost what you said but you're wrong by your last statement. Pitobi getting 2% is my worry. Normally, he shouldn't be seen near political office for his poor tenure when he was governing Anambra. But this is Nigeria sha. If pitobi can do it, yeye bello can do it better. The dullard that had doctors on strike, the one that turned Anambra to almost the level of kogi state, the slowpoke that compete with yeye bello in term of developmental indices should not be expected to get 0.5% votes from my state. Kogi has suffered enough and that's why we don't want to vote for Morons again both at the Federal and state level...... I agree that kogi is at the bottom of developmental chart of Nigerian state, and you expect us to forego a proven strategist, A man known to be a creator to a man competing with yahaya bello? You can see mr DissTroy, we are saying the same thing. We want to get it right this time around by making sure we give pitobi 0.00005% of the votes! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Bimffo:In 2015 general election, PDP won 3 House of Rep seat and a number of State house of Assembly seat in Lagos. That has never happened prior to 2015, and it happened because of Jonathan factor. Majority of those who voted for Jonathan where Non indigenes and they voted PDP all through. The people who will vote for PO in next year Election will most likely vote LP all through, and they will be the real structure on ground. Me am voting PO for President and any candidates from any Party i believe will serve well at the National Level, then Sanwo-Olu for Governor and any candidates from any Party i believe will serve well at the State Level. |
