The cheap one's are united airlines but it's from Accra to Toronto. They also pass through America but you wouldn't need a transit visa, I made sure I checked that specifically

Winnerpoks:
Good evening, which airline did you eventually use? I've been trying to look for affordable airlines from 10-16 January they're all going through USA and you need to have a Us visa for that.

My wife and I are both HND holders, and we would like to move to Canada this year through a study visa. We have a one-year-old daughter. My wife is currently jobless, but I own a POS business. I also have a car and a land property. Is it possible for us to move to Canada in this way?

Congratulations!

Please i want to apply for myself, spouse and kids. from the research i have done, i have just have to fill the same forms as i filled for myself. (IMM 1294, 5707, 5409)

I'm so scared that i may be wrong.

Please can you kindly enlighten me on how to apply for study permit for myself, SOWP for my husband and Visiting Visas for my kids?

Are these IMM forms i listed also correct?

Thank you

Thank you

You will need to use GCKEY portal to apply together with your family. When answering the questionaire you'll be asked if you're coming with family members, answer yes and fill details of the family members coming with you. The IMM forms and documents you need to fill and upload for each family member will be listed when you are ready to submit your application.

It will end in praise

Yes. there are columns to fill each member's information.

Landing gist....

Everything from my admission to my arrival in Canada was my first attempt and I thank God for his grace.

My flight departure time was 1:40pm, it was moved to 1:20pm and I didn't know till I arrived at the airport, thankfully I was there 4 hrs to the time. See crowd (people dey really comot naija o) the place be like island market, noisy, ridiculously small, hot and unorganized.
Got in with fam members who came to see me off and firstly the scanner did not work for several minutes. When it finally worked/scanned my bags, I headed to the airline saying excuse me up n down so I could pass the crowd.
Omo despite all my arrangements the bags were 30kg each instead of 23kg each, na there I begin bargain for the excess luggage and had to settle them before I was able to check-in the bags. From there to immigration and customs, they were very fast, I only submitted my passport/tickets and filled the yellow card.
We left Lagos 40mins late cos everybody wan board at the same time, dem just dey shout *queue up, single line* but e no work. We sha boarded and damn those Ethiopian airline crew ladies fine sha.
My first flight experience and first international flight, I just dey happy dey smile like cow. Food served was actually good just that dem wan use rice choke person. Lunch and dinner na rice every time throughout all the flights.
Flight was good, got to Addis Ababa and mehn come see airport na, large, organized and finally people come queue. We did the usual scanning and routine search and joined the next flight after 2hrs layover. The descending flight at Dublin was the worst, my head wan explode, my belle just dey turning on ein own. It was as though we were falling instead of descending. After an hour of refueling we flew to Toronto from there.
Flight to Toronto was good, we arrived and met the large beautiful airport. See crowd of first time students. I could count the blacks/Nigerians, the rest were Indians/Asians.
We queued, did self declaration (arrive-can was useless) and In a few minutes we were issued our student permits (it's usually the entire duration of the visa/length of program).
Got out of the airport to pick an Uber and it was as though I walked into a deep freezer lol, I immediately wore my winter jacket ontop of the sweater I was wearing, wore my hand gloves and I was fine.

Canada is large and beautiful. Tarred roads, the express had like 10 lanes each. I was debited for the Uber ride immediately I booked unlike naija where you are billed after your ride. The driver Even stopped to buy fuel (in my mind if na naija now u fit stop dey buy fuel when my trip dey read?)

If I could do this myself, I believe anyone can and I pray that everyone still praying and hoping on God will smile at the end.

Las las, congratulations bro .

4th trial within what period? Have you ordered GCMS note? Based on your history with IRCC, it would be better to get the whole picture before suggesting ways to approach your application. Addressing the financial aspect does not mean that they will not refuse the application on another factor. However, I would recommend the following:
Pay at least a semester of tuition fee
Open a GIC account and transfer $10K if you can afford to
Ensure the program is related to your present occupation
Provide sufficient proof of relationship with the sponsor, e.g., pictures taken during family events, proof of communications, evidence of previous support, birth certificates, and highlight his name in any of your application and civil documents.

It is possible to provide the necessary documents but fail to connect the dots when arranging an application. So, the importance of an excellent SOP cannot be overemphasized in your situation. Also, consider using professional assistance; there are Acts, Regulations and Case laws that can be used to argue your case.
Thank you for your response. Would I need to state the source of funds in my GIC?

Please how do you go about this new portal it's asking me for invitation code before I can sign up and start my application. It's frustrating abi na me no sabi the real portal ni

johnstan:

*At immigrations in Canada I was only asked if I brought meat. I said no and I was handed my study permit.
* I applied in July, was approved in Nov.
* Used the new portal cos I did not want to fill those Pdf forms on the old Portal.
* Non accompanying siblings/fam members are good home ties, ensure you upload anything linking you to them. (Pictures, birth certificates etc)
* I can't tell if they will be contacted or not.

Cheers.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Timonline: 9:53am On Jan 02, 2023
Good Morning everyone and a Blissful Happy new year. This post will be long but I need you to help me pay attention. I am putting this information for people who are experiencing delays with their application and who've tried to communicate via email without having any progress. An acquaintance of mine showed me how to call ircc call center agents in Ottawa from Nigeria here using Viber app. Download the Viber app from Google or apple appstore and register with your number.
Before following the steps to make a call to ircc in Ottawa send a mail to these addresses individually;
abuja@international.gc.ca

Abuja-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

abujag@international.gc.ca

In the email input your name uci and application number. Explain your current situation in the situation. When they get the mail a prompt will be placed on your application for the visa officer to look at it.
These are the steps;
Step 1:
Call this number with the Viber app: +1-800-267-6788, it's ircc client call center number.
Step 2:
Press 1 to use the service in English.
Step 3:
Press 2 to connect to ircc
Step 4: after connection to ircc, you would listen to a message for about 30 seconds just be patient till they tell you the buttons to press. You'll be asked to input your uci number if you have, just to save time press 2 that you do not have a uci. Although when you connect to the client call center agent he/she will ask you to provide your application details which includes application number, uci number and other relevant information.
Point to note: if you're calling in for someone you'll have to fill in the ircc imm5455 consent form.

Step 5:
after step 4, you'll listen another message again like step 4 be patient till they tell you which numbers to press. press 3
Step 6:
after that the next number you'll press is 1 to talk to make enquiry about your study permit application or press 2 to make an enquiry about your PR application.
Step 7: the final number to press is 0 to speak to an agent.
Point note : the client support center opens by 1pm. Nigerian time. So it's best to start calling them by 12:45pm so you can be in the queue and wouldn't have to wait too long. I tried this process and it worked for me after Months of sending mails and webforms. Even getting a gcms note now is daunting task because ATIP In Canada is finding it hard to give people their gcms notes, I feel they are understaffed and overwhelmed. When you get connected to the Call ask for an enquiry, they will give you details on the current stage of your application but don't ask when they'll make a decision on your application, they don't have any information about that and they wouldn't even tell you honestly. There it is guys I know this post is very long but please bare with me when this method worked for me I had to come here to spread the information, I hope you get your ppr sooner. Let me put a screenshot of my application to show you the how I got for my ppr, I hope it inspires you as well.

Have a question for the house,

Has anyone here used the NSE (Nigerian Student Express) visa application method? It’s a lot faster and apparently only extra document you need is IELTS.

I still see a lot of students going through the regular visa application method. Is there a reason for this or has the NSE been discontinued?

Anyone please?

This is because the NSE was suspended during the COVID outbreak. Not sure if it's back.

Thank you for your response. Would I need to state the source of funds in my GIC?

Have you requested for GCMS notes on any of the refused applications? Applying now without knowing the detailed reason why you were refused is like writing exams without studying. Thats your first steps. Even if you open a GIC of $1,000,000 they will still bounce your application if you do not address the reason(s) why they rejected the old applications.

Na your friend you suppose ask what is overqualified. LOL

All schools have their minimum admission requirements, so if you meet them you can apply after also considering their tuition.
