oluayebenz: Atleast you don do 3 years already, 7 more to go.. don’t worry this too shall pass and you go enter UK before you know it. But next time, no matter what you do, don’t be tempted to include any fake documents o..Because by the time you have finished packaging and submitted, you may be thinking you have tricked them, until it dawns on you again that it will be spotted. Like my case, after submitting, I was happy until they blasted me, even though I didn’t submit any fake documents. They just found out flaws in my account that I had thought they wouldn’t take note of. So be careful, as any information you provide will surely be verified and used against you. Ciao |

Hello All, Can anyone please explain the 28 days rule of entry into the uk with a skilled worker visa? Visa was approved in December. Start date on COS is first week in January but flight ticket is booked for third week in January after approval from Sponsor. Is there any implication as to which of the dates is valid within 28 days rule? |

Hi guys, I just moved to the UK In October for my PHD with my wife and 2 kids. I’m the main applicant and wife is dependent. My two younger brothers are also coming in February for their masters with their wife’s and kids The 3 of us are planning on buying a property which would serve as a family house for 3 of us our wife’s and kids, instead of paying multiple rent. We jointly have about 18M in Nigeria Please can this be enough to serve as a down payment for a bungalow where we can spread the balance over the years in a mortgage plan. Also, we are planning on putting all the funds (18M) into one account and send it to UK via form A. Would this be possible? Please can someone advise me on the process for all this and guide us on what best to do to avoid mistakes Please advise |

Ask here. But note that you won’t be able to buy a house as soon as you get here. Like same day. Mortgage applications will be made and every other scaled to be crossed by the bank for them to ascertain that you all can be lent money. Please, is it okay if my company addresses my introduction letter to 'To whom it may concern' and not the address of 'The Consular General'? I just collected it and realized they didn't put the address I gave them. |

Slawormirr: If you have uploaded a different bank statement before, there would a problem as the ECO is most likely trying to verify something on that account statement. So providing a different one might be conflicting. But then again, you can try your luck |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by MamaGiovanni: 7:00pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
18 million naira is about 33k pounds. This is enough for a deposit on a house (about 15 % deposit if you're buying a £200k house for instance). It is not enough for an outright payment for a property even a flat. The major problem would be you securing a mortgage from the bank. It's not all about your deposit, several factors come into play: 1) the bank will want to prove the source of your deposit and make sure its not laundered money. If he money was not made in the Uk, difficult to prove 2) the bank would want to see your source of Income- job etc. If you're a student, might be difficult 3) proof of immigration, if you have a temporary visa ie not permanent residency or British citizenship, banks will view you as a risk and interest rates would be much higher. In all, I don't believe in discouraging people, speak to a trusted mortgage advisor for further advice. JaySterling: |

Slawormirr:held for 28days within 31 days before the date of your application. That's within a month prior to the date you submitted your application. Your application number as the subject, and the PDF file as the content |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Africankel(m): 7:19pm On Jan 05, 2023 |
Damn nigarrr, the ECO wants to be sure the funds in the previous statement you presented is still available. I remember you saying you pulled out the funds before printing your statement or so. However, if the account statement you are about to present, bares the same name as what you presented before, and also holds the equivalent of the quoted sum (having been held for a period of 28 days) in the mail you received, you may upload it. Otherwise, you are at the risk of being denied. Slawormirr: |

Nooo, She is not in uk yet. Still in Nigeria. Just trying to confirm how to share the official transcript to Naric since the school (in Nigeria) said they can only send official copy to the organization and Academic Institutions. So how do you guys do it to have official transcript sent to your personal email. advanceDNA: |
