I have 2 brothers in the NPF, one is an Inspector serving in Ogbomoso and the other is a corporal serving in Ilorin. We are not in talking term, I just disowned them because of the way they have been gallivanting with their Ill gotten money (bribe).

Even in the USA bad police exist and many do hate the police but overall people still thank God for the ability to use 911 because they do their job, in Nigeria na OYO people dey, na you sef go blame yourself why you involved police

Nigerian police gives me nothing but PTSD, thats one of the main reason why I am indoors, if you are unfortunate to run into one, anything can happen, he could kill you for not complying, part away with your money. I will just be shaking on steering if they ask me to park even when all my documents are complete.

This happened in my area.
A man went to a restaurant to eat after eating he slumped and died.
Restaurants owner reported to police, police arested owner, cook, and lady that served the man.
Family of the man that slumped and died came and said they are not interested in doing any case because they are aware that their relative is seriously sick and has been managing a terminal illness.

Nigerian police said no that it was a murder case (without autopsy or anything) dead man has even been buried same day according to islamic rites.
Police threaten restaurant owner, cook, and server with being charged for murder. Billed owner N350k, cook N250k, and server N150k before they would be released.
This is not rumors or hearsay ooo, the cook attends a church close to my house and I even commensurated with her after the incident. Because her pastor called out to me for assistance when the case was ongoing because I had some police friends in the police station handling the case.
But as we all know, police is not your friend at all when you have anything to do with them.
It does not matter if you are guilty or innocent, their eye, mind, spirit, soul and body is geared towards how they will rip you off of some money either legally or illegally

The day I knew Nigerian police men were beasts in human form was when the delayed me for more than 2 hours at Benin ore expressway. It happened that i was crossing a tokumbo vehicle to the East. As usual, such unregistered vehicle had no papers except custom papers. i showed them the customs paper and my driving licence. The bastards insisted I stole the vehicle. They kept frustrating me and I was helpless and didn't know what to do. Even FRSC and Customs officers never had issues with provided they were satisfied with my documents. I spent nothing less than #13,000 bribing policemen for no justifiable reason from sagamu to Asaba. After that encounter, I vowed never to drive an unregistered tokumbo vehicle from Lagos to any other state in Nigeria

Why do I need to help them? Or rather why do we need them? Someone should give a valid reason? Someone like me becomes president, i go scrap out the force totally. Its the most useless force so far!
If i am president, I would carve out a new force from the Army , Navy and Airforce, they would all go to school (Secondary, University and a Military academy after which they would go for a brain test to see if them don mad, or have future madness way day wait them for front). And make sure that every police man drops everything that looks like weapons to the nearest military base.
Their houses would also be searched, if they see anything like stick , instruction is to hang the whole family. End of Story. You wont clear traffic, you wont sanely settle disputes. Lives and property you ought to protect, you destroy, why am i keeping you?
