At this point, the Moroccan trio of Yassine Bounou, Sofyan Amrabat and Achraf Hakimi lead the way for the APOTY.

But, I trust Osimhen will be STRONGLY in the mix of heavy favorites for the award if he keeps this up and finishes the season with a League Title and even add the Copacannoniere award as bonus. That will be huge for his Chances. Don't forget he is also the current Top Scorer of the Afcon Qualifiers.

These and probably how far he takes Napoli in the UCL could also add more strength to his claims.

So yep, Our Boy has a shot. wink

Napoli winning the league and osimhen winning the top scorer award

Do we have a chance of our boy winning the APOTY ?

yak was highly underrated
Oga Charles,I can say much about Yak,right from Okomu Oil fc to Julius Berger fc and when he was in U23 camp in Ilorin. He looked lazy without ball but very deadly inside box but that missed against South Korea is the worst in World Cup history and it negate his profile as a good CF and Nigerians till today didn't forgive him

No it's not.

It's simplistic will everybody have the exact same bone fusion at the same age.

Are we all the same height ❓did we all grow at the same rate ❓❓Did we all stop growth at the same age❓❓❓ Does deprivation ( poverty, malnutrition, poor health care, environmental factors physical and mental ) impact on health and wellbeing and therefore GROWTH ❓❓❓❓❓

The accuracy of the MRI in determining bone fusion is not in dispute. However, the disparities between race genetic and environmental are variable that impact on the age at which bone Fusion will occur in different races and People as well as individuals.

Can you stop making unnecessary emotive based arguments come down from your egoistical high horse and stop making chaotic noise .

I doubt you understood what you posted. The accuracy of MRI is not in doubt due to its accuracy despite racial, environmental and nutritional factors.

99% accuracy is not beans. Stop spreading falsehood and claiming integrity.

Finito.

If you have been following my players updates across Europe since last year, then this name won't be new to you. wink

Winter Transfer Update: Rafiu Adekunle Durosinmi

From Viktoria Plzen's site:
VIKTORIA WILL BE STRENGTHENED BY 20-YEAR-OLD STRIKER RAFIU DUROSINMI

Viktoria Plzeň presents its third winter signing, Rafiu Adekunle Durosinmi. The 20-year-old Nigerian forward comes on a six-month loan with an option from the second division Karviná.

The young attacker has had a very successful autumn in the Karviné jersey, where he was one of the key men. "He is a talented player who has excellent speed, height and age parameters to make the next step in his career, and I believe that he can take this step right here," says Daniel Kolář, the sports director of Viktoria Durosinmi. "We promise him that he will increase the competition in our team and fight for his chance," he adds.

The 20-year-old Durosinmi comes on a six-month loan with a subsequent option. During Monday afternoon, he will be fully involved in Viktoria's training and on Wednesday he will fly with the team to Benidorm, Spain.

"I am happy that I got such a chance. I watched Victoria's matches in the Champions League, they are a really big team and I have to do my best to be able to make it," Durosinmi is clear.

In the Karviné jersey, the attacker played in fifteen games in the fall, in which he scored three goals and registered five assists. He also scored four goals in this year's Mol Cup.

A graduate of the football academy in Lagos, Nigeria's largest city, he came to the Czech Republic two years ago and went through the Karviné youth academy, where he subsequently made it to the first team.

He will wear the number 17 on his jersey in Victoria.

This post below is dated November 5, 2022. One out of several posts that mentioned Rafiu Adekunle Durosinmi at his former club, MFK Karvina.

This post also mentioned a curtain Moses David Cobnan.

Both these lads secured moves this winter window.

Moses David Cobnan upgraded to FC Krasnodar in Russia.

Rafiu joins Czech Giants, Viktoria Plzen. Another upgrade.

I understood your context. But you see, Okala and Ogedegbe were both at the 1980 Afcon, not so? Okala was also at the 1978 Afcon.

Maybe Chief Icon4s didn't see the 1973 All African games shaa. Coz I know Okala was there too.

Finally, Okala was a mega star with the Legendary Enugu Rangers of yore in the 70s so I am guessing he must have seen him at some point.

Abi una Eldership level no reach that period again? grin

Osimhen is a world class striker now
It’d be poor in my opinion to rate his performance against mediocre and lowly rated teams
We should rate him when Napoli plays Europe’s or Italy’s elites
Let’s see what & how he does against Juve, inter, Roma, Milan
Sampdoria were never a match for this day Napoli
How would he regularly fare against the big boys smiley
After 17 matches they’ve got same points with Arsenal in England lol
Will the Scudetto final come to Naples ?
Does Napoli fold against the big boys ?
Will Osimhen win the Serie A golden boot?
Is he always lethal against the elites like Mbappe for example ?
Only time will tell smiley
good points brother.

Very good striker yes, but world class , l guess it depends on what your mean by World class.

Has he in his entire career been among the top 3 strikers in a top league .

The first time in his career that he may exceed 15 league gaols in a season is now . Will he be the highest goal scorer in Seria A at the end of the season ❓ l hope he does , because it's about time all the potential is realised with actual goals.

In 2021 Simy scored 20 goals in Seria A but nobody called him world class .

In my opinion the key performance indicator is consistency at the highest level over at least 3 seasons.

So we can say Mane, Salah, Lukaku, Ronaldo, Messi, Benzema, Mbappe, Neymar are world class.

Dusan Vlahovic , 22 years old , is top striker , after two consecutive season at the top of Seria A goal table, but nobody calls him world class. Ciro Immobile is a very good striker but nobody calls him World class. And many would say they are better than V.O.

I think the tag WORLD CLASS is premature, for a player yet to win anything yet.
first time agreeing with you a 100%
couldn't have said it any better.

I know Ogedegbe was first choice at 1980 Afcon. Okala was in that Squad but second fiddle to him hence my statement that both were at the 1980 Afcon edition. Or am I not correct?

And yes, Okala was number 1 pre-1980. My dad told me he had this trademark kung-fu strike he gave to attacking players when he goes for aerial balls. I had to go gather more info on the man. Giant of a GK I found him out to be. Damn.

And you watched Ogedegbe live... that's cool. That he conceeded only one goal at the 1980 Afcon is something I still admire when going down our GK history at major tournaments.

AFCON, for ages, has been won on fine margins. I reiterate it has nothing to do with coaching!
I can give you numerous examples but I do not really have the time!
One example proves nothing in scholarly research!
Joebie:
Yea like coach Herve Renard won it with almighty Zambia.
