Good day my seniors, for a dependent with over ten years experience in the supply chain management, precisely inventory management. What advice do you have for such as per securing good job in the UK as his visa is ready? |

Hello everyone. Please I have some USD on cash (PTA) and I am coming to the UK next week for school. Should I change the USD to NGN and then to GBP or should I just change to Naira and put in my account and then change to GBP when I get to the UK? What do you think will be more cost effective? |

Ayowolebami: Calm down, you're already good to go. Finish your studies well but if it's just a few months you have left you can start applying for jobs right away. Look at jobs description carefully and make sure your CV covers the basic requirements and experience for the jobs. Since you're still studying you are still limited by the 20hrs per week rule so getting a full-time role whether contract or perm may be tricky but you can try as there are contract roles that may allow you to work part-time which will be great for your experience going forward. |

Lexusgs430: I mailed them and requested they cancel the service as I never signed up for it. Apparently, the letting agent (Yourmove) had passed my information (they've got some sort of partnership) across even though I had signified that I wasn't interested in any insurance coverage while signing the tenancy agreement. It eventually got cancelled without any fuss. |

Goke7: Yea I wasn't going to start applying until I'm about to round up my dissertation make "Unfortunately" emails no come demoralize me but I just wanted to find out more about the contract way with daily rates. Would prefer that over full time roles for now but I'd like to hear from people who have done both before I make I decision. Thanks so much. |

Ayowolebami: when you're ready just get your CV ready with all the credentials you have and start applying, na recruiters go dey rush you. But I always advise people to start with full-time and perm roles as they will train you on the job to boost your confidence which will help you a lot when you start contract jobs. The expectations of those contract jobs are way higher but for perm roles, employers are patient enough for some months for you to get settled in. That's how my friend started with a perm role and just even after two months, he started contracting. Like I said earlier, calm down. But I can get some more info and share it later. |

Hello house. Please I need a precise response to my question, edakun… How soon can one start applying for the Nigerian passport renewal in the UK given the long wait time (of getting appointment and processing etc.) so I can plan accordingly? My Nigerian passport will expire on 02/Oct/2023 but I think I read somewhere that one can start applying from 6 months before expiry date, which in my case would be sometime from April 2023. I intend to travel out of UK this summer between July to September 2023 and I know that some of these countries require my passport to be valid for 6 months. To avoid stories that touch, abeg how soon is too soon to apply? Thanks in advance! |

RAOS: It’s still 6 month . I don’t know much about the passport office in London but in Nigeria just don’t go to overpopulated regions like Lagos in order to get it fast. |

Margs: Second hand iPhones cost from £100 for the older models to about £800 for top of the range models. You can do the maths and see what works for you. Brand new iPhones are also readily available but na money kill am. |

My partner and I have been together for 9months now. We are both students here in the UK and we will be done with our study this month. She will get her Tier2 Sponsorship soon(Health and Care). We thought it's better for me to switch to her dependant and not apply for PSW. What's the process of me becoming her dependant here. Thanks |
