TenQ:He could have used it to make this point. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 6:22pm On Jan 18, 2023 |
Banilla:1. Definitely not! He was hung on a cross to die, that is a curse according to the Old Covenant. 2. Anyone who is forsaken by God is cursed and so not fit to broach the presence of God at all since that which is unholy cannot enter into the presence of God. By dying and overcoming the curse and death, Jesus Christ was then able to set free all those who choose Him from the curse of God upon them by virtue of the Old Law of Moses. Yes, He was human and did experience pain but what He said was God's Truth. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Banilla: 6:29pm On Jan 18, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: What I meant is this... If I'm a christian going through bad times (persecution, maybe), then it's not a sin to 'question' God (ask why you're going through such, even though you know it's all part of the plan). People say we should never doubt, but we're human. Maybe even Jesus felt forsaken because of this. He agreed but the pain was a lot to bear. I'm just trying to understand that part. |

Banilla:He want to argue needlessly! |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 6:35pm On Jan 18, 2023 |
Banilla:1. It is never a sin to question God. Job did it and guess what, God responded to him. 2. We doubt God because we have not come to know Him, and that is human — We doubt what we are not certain of or know. However, when one comes to have a knowledge of God, one realizes that his/her doubts are in fact of self and not meant to be projected onto the person of God who is unchanging. Jesus Christ knew the Father and knew His place in the Father and had no reason to doubt the Father. |

TenQ: Where's John 8:29 in all your prose? You're the ignorant one here! |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 5:11am On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: Wetin concern John with Deuteronomy? You can just tell me every biblical rules changes when Jesus is involved. And Jesus isn't a man who committed any offense to be cursed by the same God who sent him! |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 6:54am On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:Again, AntiChristian:As He explained clearly in that verse to even you God does not abandon those who do that which pleases Him. Those who are cursed, however, a different story. By hanging on the tree to die, Jesus Christ was auto cursed by God of Israel whom He lived His life as an Israelite in submission to - Deuteronomy 21 vs 22 - 23 - and as such forsaken by Him though without He Himself committing any sin, because a curse is a violation of God's Law. This as declared by God Himself. According to God, all those who are cursed are unholy and unwelcome in His presence. That is what a violation of God's Law does to a man. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by TenQ: 8:24am On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:John 8:29: "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." How do you reconcile it with what the Messiah was prophesied to say in Psalm 22. If the Messiah did NOT say such, would he still be the Messiah? |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 8:45am On Jan 19, 2023 |
TenQ: The OP is not to reconcile John 8:29 with your Psalm verse but with the fact that Jesus was left alone on the cross by the God that sent him. |

Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 8:54am On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:Again, Jesus Christ was forsaken by YHWH before His death on the cross as a cross as a result of the curse. However, by His own authority, Jesus Christ rose from the dead - John 10 vs 14 - 18 - overcoming both the curse and Death in doing so. He submitted and obeyed YHWH until His very end. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 10:31am On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: It wasn't stated precisely anywhere that Jesus was forsaken just prior to the crucifixtion! It was not stated anywhere that Jesus had an capital offense to be crucified of. Jesus was never cursed! 22 If someone guilty of a capital offense is put to death and their body is exposed on a pole, 23 you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkie: 4:00pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:1. How could He have been forsaken prior to the crucifixion when the crucifixion is the reason for which He was forsaken? 2. What Deuteronomy 21 vs 22 - 23 states, quite clearly mind you, is that the curse is as a result of being hung on a tree to die, and not because of any prior sins one may have committed or not. 22 “A man might be guilty of a sin that must be punished by death. People might kill him and hang his body on a tree.Following that which is clearly depicted in the above passage, even an innocent man who is hung on a tree is cursed, just for being hung on the tree to die. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 5:23pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkie:The only reason God would forsake Jesus according to John John 8:29 is when he does what displeases God. 2. What Deuteronomy 21 vs 22 - 23 states, quite clearly mind you, is that the curse is as a result of being hung on a tree to die, and not because of any prior sins one may have committed or not.Yeah, i quite agree! So it doesn't matter whether a person sins or not. Once anyone is condemned and hanged on the cross or tree like this the person is cursed by your God and hence forsaken! |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkiee: 5:34pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:1. Yes, the curses listed in Deuteronomy 28 apply as far as those who disobey God, and yes, Jesus Christ lived His life in submission and obedience to God's Old Law or Moses as an Israelite. However, the curse in Deuteronomy 21 vs 22 - 23 is not as a result of disobedience or anything a one does. 2. Pretty much what it says there and hence what happened to Jesus Christ. |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 5:42pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkiee:No, Jesus must have disobeyed God. The Book of John supersedes/abrogates the Deuteronomic verse. 2. Pretty much what it says there and hence what happened to Jesus Christ. Not fair from a Merciful God! |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkiee: 5:44pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:1. So, tell us then what Jesus Christ did to disobey God? 2. You arrived at this claim of yours how? 3. Not fair? Well, are you to tell God what laws He can or cannot to His own people? If the people to whom the law was given did not see fit to complain, who you? |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 6:00pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkiee:How will i know? The details of Jesus's lifetime from 1-30 years are largely not in the Bible. 2. You arrived at this claim of yours how?Because Jesus won't contradict himself vis a vis John 8:29 vs Deuteronomy 21 vs 22 - 23. 3. Not fair? Well, are you to tell God what laws He can or cannot to His own people? If the people to whom the law was given did not see fit to complain, who you?Because God said He would never forsake his own. Psalm 94:14, Romans 11:2, 1 Samuel 12:22, Psalm 9:10 and Psalm 37:28 |
Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by Kobojunkiee: 6:07pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
AntiChristian:1. So, you ignore the fact that Jesus Christ declared He was forsaken on the cross... all so you can chase after a phantom idea that He must have sinned instead.. OK. 2. If you believe Jesus Christ didn't contradict Himself then why do you keep insisting He did by pretending that the same Law and Will of the Father which He, Jesus Christ, made clear He lived in submission and obedience, took on a place to lesser importance? 3. Those very same texts also explain to you that those who belong to God are those who are not in violation of any of God's Law. If God says anyone who is hung on a tree to die violated His very Law, does that mean such a person belongs to Him still? |

Banilla: You already know you are devil's spawn being a prostitute and murderess, like Satan and Eve, like you, hence your confession. My own Father hates all things evil eg whorēs and whorēchasers, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, murderers, daughters who fuq their fathers and brothers, fathers who fuq their daughters and all those abominable things you people do and therefore like Him, I hate you all. Only shallow church goers don't know that God has been at war with Satan over us, therefore there are only Allies and Enemies. And you devils are my enemies. |

Re: Why Did God Forsake Jesus? by AntiChristian: 7:53pm On Jan 19, 2023 |
Kobojunkiee: He did contradict himself and you're placing the Deuteronomy verses over the John verse! God said he won't forsake his own yet he forsook Jesus by cursing him despite the claims he was guiltless! Jesus on the other hand claimed God would never forsake him as he does what pleases him. This can't be reconciled! |
