I spoke with a friend in Canada, he said the easiest way to Canada is also through the education route. The skilled express entry takes a long while and there are no guarantee sef.

Said someone he knew took about 19 months for the him to get the Visa.

It’s expensive ! School in those schools abroad without government subsidizing education like we have in Nigeria can make one’s pocket cry .

Don't be deceived, majority of those guys are very very intelligent. Emiefele that u see graduated top of his class during undergraduate years, He was the CEO of a top Bank in the country.

Its just that when they get political appointments they just decide to do things that will suit their selfish interest and that of their political associates. If u know the kind level wey Emefiele don run ehn, even his family members are not left out.

Lol. It does work like hell. I've written 3 dissertations (all with Harvard style of referencing) using it in recent times and believe me, it passed with distinctions.

Nonetheless, you still have to be careful with it. Some lecturers are beginning to check for AI-Plagiarism, even after confirming it as original enough with Turnitin and the likes (Same thing Google does for detecting AI-written content)

This is the summary.

Sometimes the will is there but they have to do the bidding of those who helped them get there.

Another good example is Lauretta Onochie the new NDDC chairman. People helped her get there. She must do whatever they want in return.

We all see these things even in our personal life. Someone gave me a job of 15k twice and he is asking me on WhatsApp if there's anything for him.

I had to ask again just to be sure I understood what he was saying. You should see the way he responded like it was his right.

I just ignored him. He can take the job elsewhere next time.

Has there been any president in the history of Nigeria that was better than his predecessor?

Let's say, was Yar adua better than obj?

Was GEJ better than yaradua?

Was buhari better than GEJ?

I is any of the incoming president going to be better than buhari?
I think that Yaradua's government was better than OBJ's. During that period, there was relative peace despite agitations in the Niger Delta. Also things were quite cheap and under control. The members of his cabinet were technocrat. He could do better, but because he was not political and had a name to protect he did well. GEJ came and used fear to spoil everything. Buhari came and used nepotism to finish work.

Please ensure that you are participating in this democratic process to enact change in the country.

Your PVCs are in your polling units right now. Go there and collect them sharp sharp. Abeg.
PVC is better, cheaper, safer, and a shorter route to Japan by all means.

Japa is second option to a Peter Obi presidency.

The elections are coming soon and Buhari is using Emefiele to ensure that Tinubu does not cut corners. The House of Reps speaker, Femi knows this and is playing every trick to bring Emefiele under control, but the guy is hell bent to frustrate APC's Tinubu.

Most APC governors also are aware of this and are quietly pulling out from association with Tinubu. The governors with him are just less than 5. Even Hope Uzodinma who is Buhari's boy and SE coordinator for Tinubu campaign don use style wash hand commot.

Due to cashless policy and withdrawal limits stealing an ATM card for crime would be petty.

The universal card is mainly to ensure that all transactions are monitored by CBN.

My only issue is that, technology that's government backed in Nigeria is not always reliable.

So if I understand, our various ATM cards will no longer be valid or they will find a way to link all existing ATM cards to the one from CBN such that I can either withdraw money from my Zenith or First Bank ATM cards or from the CBN card.

Kickback is official unofficially in Nigeria, almost everybody want's to make something from putting u on. There are only few people who help u for the sake of doing good nowadays.

I can't forget our late former neighbour(God rest his soul ) The man fixed my siblings for INEC Ad-hoc job in 2003 elections, he also fixed them for the 2006 National population census job as enumerators. That was how the elderly one between my siblings thought of appreciating him and bought some gift items for him. If u see the way the man reprimanded my siblings ehn....He said how much did they make from the ad-hoc job that they are wasting money buying something for him? He felt they were being fooolish and do not know how to manage money grin...... He asked them to return the gifts to the seller and even offered to follow them to return it if the seller refuses to refund them. He was one of the good ones.

I empathise with you bro. I used to start my day at similar time to you but I'm acutely aware how much more one could get done in the time Lagos forces you yo waste in traffic

These days I work fully remote, but pre-pandemic I also used to leave my house at 4.30 to go to the gym. I will baff there and drive 5 minutes to the train to catch the 6.20 train to London 150+ miles away.

When I would get to London. I would walk 30 minutes to work for extra cardio and would still get to work before 9am

It's 6.45 am here now and I'm just about to leave the gym. I will go home, baff, have breakfast, do the school run, and still be at my desk for 9am.

My bro, I can't lie to you. Japa is the only way. In all your doings, aim to leave that hell hole.

When I was working in Lagos 15 to 20yrs ago. I lived in Egbeda and worked in VI.
From Monday to Friday I never saw my area in daylight because my alarm wakes me up by 4:15 by 4:50 I must leave my bus stop otherwise I won't get to VI before 9.

Around that time, you will have the chance of beating 6 different traffic points in Roundabout, Cement/Ikeja Along, Bank Anthony, Iyana Oworo, end of 3rd mainland/Obalende then VI traffic.

If you don't leave before 5am and you are already in Roundabout traffic be sure you are entering all those 6 traffic points at least

Work typically ends by 7pm ish but to avoid those traffic points VI to Egbeda its advisable to wait till 9:30 so I can speed through and get home by 11pm.

No time for breakfast nor dinner. Eat dinner either at Mama Kass or in traffic(bread and akara). By the time I get home at 11. I know I have 5hrs of sleep so everything to make me fall asleep as quick as possible must be done. This includes shayo, shekpe anything to ensure those mosquito buzz does not interrupt the short sleep.
These timelines now get even worse if there is Holy Ghost night or any accident or robbery on the way. Holy Ghost night 2005 was when I took Okada from VI to Mende. Okada over 3rd mainland was not a funny thing. But those that drove that day didn't leave VI standstill traffic till 3am. Traffic that came all the way from redemption camp

The only time it makes sense is when clients decide to lodge us in hotels on the Island. Which means you work till 11pm at times you even work all night especially if they have a tight deadline. If your friends get lodged you even beg him to squat with him to avoid those traffic

Saturday and Sundays when I don't work I still have to go to Iponri for ACCA lessons.

I have a friend who was transferred by his bank job to Ibadan. I will be in the office in VI before he wakes up, by the time I'm leaving office at 9:30 he's already in bed.

My options now became leaving free accommodation in Egbeda to rent in Surulere. I tried a 3 bedroom flat in James Robertson. The landlord told me 600k a year and 2 yrs needed making 1.2m

So I just made the decision at 25-26yrs doing all these wahala daily how will I make it to 50yrs without major illness.

That supposed money for rent plus savings na wetin I gather to japa.

When I started working in corporate America my house was 5mins from work so I can wake up at 8 and get to work by 8:30. Some times I even time my lunch to come home and watch Champions league matches.

I do work remotely once a week, and that once is usually a very good day; I Have 4 working days to be on site out of 5. I leave home very early and do not experience traffic going and I close early so I usually get home before dinner time.

E be like say na Canada be the way this year. I must set things in motion cos that UK education route levels no favor me at all.

Remote work has been available for me since 2013 but when I was younger I liked going to the office just for the socialization because abroad no really send you like that and you might not get to talk to anyone for days if you don't go to work so I do some days wfh especially if the night was busy or if I have a guest and most Fridays

But I started full remote work since 2015 and any work that will take me out of my house should hold itself.

I won't lie to you, one of my prayer points is that my hustle should not take me anywhere near Lagos. For real. I am already halfway crazy, after one year I fit dey pick komkom for market. cheesy

People outside Lagos can never fully understand the craziness surrounding a Lagos based career.

One of the female associates we worked together when she first started work, her dad will have to wait for her at the bus stop to follow her home else how does a 23yr old girl drop at a typical Lagos bus stop at 11pm sometimes with laptop.

Even me at way over 6ft I've been obtained a few times and usually have lose change to give boys on out street but dem werey sometimes go change am for me. The crews I know will deliberately leave and another crew will come. So no familiarity and billing must be at premium. Otherwise they deflate your car tires or roughen you.

You also have to adopt other skills like taking off your suit and wear something rough. Also have a lighted cigarette in your hand and walk like an alaye so they don't think you are a soft target plus learning the language of the street.

Darkness no dey respect anyone

Many young married girls had problems in their marriage abi how do you manage getting home by 10pm and above daily. Unless your husband works I'm the same industry

Express entry. You must ace IELTS. As in get about 8. You need to have a higher degree like Masters. Age under 33 to have the best chance. Evaluate your transcripts through WES or IQAS.

The cutoffs are so high these days so anything that can give you an advantage like learning French, or even marrying a younger girl who has better points she will be the primary applicant and you and go as a dependent. If you will drop the proof of funds a young 27 to 30yr old girl with a Masters or PhD. That can clear IELTS will do
