Hello wonderful people, my wife will be getting her COS in a few days time, HR already informed her maintenance wouldn't be ticked; she tried convincing the HR but they won't budge, they argued they have no vacant accomodations for now, so we have to cater for ourselves:

My question is, can I submit my statement of account to cover for the proof of fund(POF)
she as the principal applicant, myself and two kids as dependents, note, transferring the money to her account now means we have to wait for another 28days cycle. Is it compulsory she must have the POF in her account? Thanks.

She is the main applicant

Dear House,
I just applied and paid for a 6 moth visa for my elderly mom and myself ( opted for self service) to see mt brother in the UK- to travel March 29 . My mom is a regular traveller and has been issued visa 4 times, but this is my first time. The reason I'm giving being that I'm going to assist her with luggage and see my bro after over 5 years and return to my work in Lagos during two week leave.
I used mybankstatement from GTB for last six months with Ticket Number and password for UK Deputy High Commission. Hope it's ok?
I have appointment with TLS Ikeja on February 2. Can someone please tell me what to expect, what happens there and what I should go along with. Thanks in advance

Which one is ticket number and password for UKVI again?

Well, as long as you are financially capable of sponsoring the trip, then you can go ahead. Your job/business should be a proof of ties too

It depends on your travel expenses and how much you earn monthly, as your total cost of trip should not exceed 3 times your disposable income. Your account balance should just be sufficient enough. There is no specific amount per say, but let’s just say 5 million balance should do

Include all you have said plus the ones I have said as well.. he doesn’t need much documentation on his end, just the adequate proof of relationship with your nephew, which includes letters of consent from his both parents, affidavit of guardianship from the court, his birth certificate. Then you can add your supporting documents as sponsor to show you can finance the trip.

Thank you sir

Since she is the main applicant, it would have been advisable to have the money in her account. But since you are her husband and also going as a dependent, then you can still use your account as proof of funds and indicate you are giving your consent to that on your form.

Ok you earn 280k and you spend 100k as part of your monthly living expenses, which leaves your disposable income at 180k. Multiplying 180k by 3 months, you have 540k as disposable income. That’s a good one.

Now how much does your wife spend monthly as part of her contribution? And how much does she earn? With that you can be able to calculate total cost of your trip. And she needs to add her bank statement as well, regardless of you being the chief sponsor

When you request for you bank statement using @mybankstatement issued by banks. It generates ticket number and password that the embassy staff can use to log in and see your account details for period requested. It's also used in Canada visa application. Don't worry it's not bet9ja ticket

I think the best you can do is to look for an Au-Pair, this will require bringing the person in from another country like Philippines, Indonesia or even Nigeria. Am not sure anybody already living legally in the UK will be willing to get paid below the minimum wage.

Hello People,

Please my aunt applied for her UK Student visa and she's got a mail that her application has been approved since December.
However, she has not got her passport back and this is 8weeks after. She has gone to TLS Ikeja but they wouldn't attend to her. She has also mailed UK Consular but now they are telling her to give 15 working days. Meanwhile her deadline for registration is 27 Jan.
Please what can she do again? she is so exhausted now.

This is very urgent if you have any information please.

Ok no wahala.. but you can actually attach your e-bank statement as pdf file to your application.. UKVI is quite different from Canada embassy though

Good afternoon all in the house !!!!!

Is it necessary to explain Opening balance and closing balance of 6 months bank statement? Because I'm about to submit my visa application and I remembered how Eco quoted on some refusal letter concerning Opening balance and Closing balance.

If necessary ? please how can someone explain it?

Assuming the opening balance is around 3 months disposable income before 6 month bank statement required, how someone can explain why having such amount in his account since he as been working for couples of years?

I believe that everyone used to build his account when is time to apply for a UK visa before 6 month bank statement required.

Because we can't do without spending our income for some certain things e.g project building , buying cars , buying property etc.

So how can we defend opening balance that's around 3× of our disposable income?

Please all the guru's in the house ??

The answer to this questions would be useful to all of us in the house in this Era of ECO denied people with these issue?

Shalom

The total package is surely above minimum wage and i will explain.
As a full time nanny (7-days a week), maxiumum you can work is 8hrs/day and with minumum wage of 10£/hr gives you 2400£/month before tax and 1900£ after taxes. Accomodation & all utilities averagely 900£, feeding,Wifi Internet/mobile and other household expenses is averagely 600£. Hence if i pay extra 400£, i am matching the minimum wage already. Mind you, i didnt include cost of transportation, etc that would be saved when working a full time nanny.
