Nice! Thanks for the insight my bro!

I’ve really been away from happenings here and haven’t had time to do any thorough research. U know say election don dey near and I’ve been in the thick of things to ensure you all vote wisely. wink

TheSuperNerd:
It's really no mystery my good man, Joe. Nice are currently one of the best paying and top financially buoyant sides in France.

They are owned by the richest man in UK via his INEOS Chemicals group.

Also, For the last 3 years or so, they have been putting together a project to propel the side "permanently" to the top of French football. Last season, they hired Ligue 1 winning coach (and Osimhen's former coach at Lille), Christophe Galtier in the summer of 2021 for the the 21/22 season.

Galtier had won the Ligue 1 title with Lille in 20/21 season yet decided to take up the job at Nice thanks to the financial offers he received and the project they were building. It was a stunning move and that was when my attention shifted to Nice because I didn't understand at the time why a guy who just won the league title pipping a super stars-studded PSG in the process didn't wanna stay for UCL football and another run at the title with the squad he built.

I did a little digging then and I found out what I know now. Been following Nice more closely since Galtier joined them and led them to 5th in Ligue 1 last season.

Then PSG came calling and Galtier couldn't resist the opportunity. PSG had to part with a good sum of millions of euros to get their man and current coach, Galtier while Nice had to find a replacement.

So with this background info, you should know Nice are obviously paying Moffi more in terms of sign-on fees and personal contracts. Moffi earns more playing for a decent side in France that stands better financially placed than Lorient and at 23 still has time to keep blowing sh*t up in Ligue 1 (while earning more than he did at Lorient) to finally attract the attention of some of the Bigger Boys in the game within the Top 5 and in France (PSG only).

And oh also, he is guaranteed tremendous playing time.

So, there is no mystery. Nice have a good squad, are under sound management backed by big money and they are ambitious and this could be just Moffi's springboard to the elites in the end. Time will tell.

Behold AGAIN the Power of proper Scouting and Players Monitoring by yours Sincerely, Nerdie.

This is on Gift Emmanuel Orban.

He just secured a move to Belgium's Jupiler Pro.

This post below is Sept.19, 2022...

TheSuperNerd:
New Player feature: Gift Emmanuel Orban, 20yrs, 2002-born

Young Nigerian lad who lived partly in Togo and then in Nigeria while growing up. Speaks English and French.

Plays for Stabæk Fotball in the Norwegian OBOS-Ligaen.

He's a Centre forward/Striker and this is his first pro season in Europe.

His 2022 League stats: 12 goals, 6 assists in 17 league games (14 starts) for Stabæk Fotball in Norwegian 1.Division AKA OBOS-Ligaen

His side sits second (one of the top 2 automatic promo slots) in Norway's 2nd tier with 5 rounds of games to go.

His agent is the renowned Emefie Atta Aneke who also manages Odion Ighalo, Chidera Ejuke, Victor Boniface, Ishaq Abdulrazak, Igoh Ogbu, Akor Adams, Samuel Adegbenro, etc and also manages foreign lads like Jens Petter Hauge of Norway

Keep an eye on this one. Time will tell.

1st Frame: Gift Orban with his OBOS-Ligaen Player of the Month award for July.

Followed by this... October 3, 2022.

TheSuperNerd:
Remember this name.

Gift Emmanuel Orban. Lad is on fire in the OBOS-Ligaen and will likely gain promotion with his club to the Norwegian Eliteserien and possibly bag a decent move. Only 20 yrs old. A goal scoring monger.

On 14 goals, 6 assists in 15 starts (18 games)

Made Team of the Weeks multiple times and even bagged POTM for July.

He scored a brace again today in Stabæk's 4-0 win. His 13th and 14th goals of the season.

And then this again... November 12, 2022.

TheSuperNerd:

Meanwhile... remember this name.

Gift Emmanuel Orban, 20 yrs, Striker/CF.

Joint Top Scorer in Norway's 2022 OBOS-Ligaen with 16 goals, 6 assists in 19 starts (22 league games) helping his side, Stabæk to get promoted to the Norwegian Eliteserien in his first professional season in Europe.

Would play top flight football at the beginning of the new year (2023) in Norway assuming he won't secure a move outside Norway.

Another young lad I have been following keenly. Time will tell on these prospects.

And finally... just 3 days ago... I had no actual idea he was moving soon this window but I hinted at the possibility of him moving sooner or later. Was always gonna be a matter of time coz the lad is exciting and very promising.

TheSuperNerd:
Gift Emmanuel Orban scored for the 2nd game in a row for his side, Stabæk in a 3-1 friendly win over Kjelsås, today.

He also scored against Bærum in a 2-0 club friendly win 8 days ago. 🔥🔥

He is the 20y/o breakout scoring sensation in Norway from the 2022 season. He bagged 16 goals, 6 assists in 19 starts (22 league games) finishing as the Joint Top Scorer in Norway's OBOS-Ligaen. 🏆🥇

This 2023 season, he will feature in the Eliteserien.

Recall this post below on him....

And now... this... Move done! Another Naija lad in Belgium. Naija's central home of talents in Europe.

So if you have been following my posts on Orban, he won't be new to you. 😉

Very Solid.

What many fail to realise is that stats such as the accuracy of short passes, crosses and long balls, the ability to create goalscoring chances, are independent of league quality, these qualities resides in the player's skills and intelligence (decision making).

The bold is a nonsensical proposition without any iota of substance.

The quality of league will determine the difficulty of execution and quality of delivery. The creation of a through and or long pass in Seria A is not the same as the NPFL. The quality of a cross in the EPL is not the same as Serbia league.

Quality of football is still relative to the league you are playing in, that can not be dismissed. In this inglorious quest to overcome quality with mediocrity to hype a player who has done nothing beyond regression in the past 8 years. Nwakali midfield maestro.

Consider Ivan Trichkovski top goal ⚽ scorer Cypriot League (rated 21in Europe) with 14 goals this season, he is 35. About 10 years ago he was in Belgium league his best tally at his peak 5 goals.

Alexander lacazette in 2016/17 got 28 goals from 30 games in the French league one. After 5 years at Arsenal his best EPL goal tally was 14, he has never been a top 5 goal scorer, not sure even top 10 in the EPL.

He has gone back to French League one , no longer in his prime at 31 , he is now joint number 2 with 4 other players in the French league with 12 goals. That tells you something.

Statistics are absolutely relative to the league you are in. You cannot dismiss relative quality in assessment of statistics . All because you want to hype the best midfield maestro.

I haven't followed the Spanish Cup , how many Segundo teams❓ were able to beat La Liga opposition how many from the Spanish 3rd tier ❓

I will reiterate the Segunda division is poor quality particularly once you below 4/5th place.

Ponferradina will struggle in my opinion without prejudice in English League two.

Na em dey praise orban for gaining a move to a top Belgian club straight from the Norwegian 2nd tier after just one season in the league but will then turn blind eye to maestro that is stuck in a poor league and bankrupt club side likely to be demoted to Spanish 3rd tier soon 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Look at the top 4 goal scorers in the Premier league two of them have come directly from the Championship Mitrovic and Toney.

That should tell you about the Championship quality.

Although Onuachu is best suited to aerial balls and crosses. This is the bread and butter or the EPL and defenders are much more physical and faster.

If they play to Onuachu strength l expecte he will be ok but outstanding and getting 10 goals before the end of the season. There is a lot of desperate panic buying at moment.

There will be tears and gnashing of teeth at the end of the season.

It's a very tightly contested relegation battle , that includes Everton, this has made the top 6 of the championship to have much more quality and depth and yes money ££££££
