Supreme Court rule on Statements of facts before it, and the arguments of counsels for both the applicant and the defendant...

Supreme Court Judges can't use sentiment or what they "think" should be the "right" thing so to say..

They only think law, fact on the table and argument

The sad part of this whole brouhaha is that many of these columnists and some journalists like Rufai Oseni prey on the emotions of their ignorant followers to twist the truth to suite their narrative.

Another tricky part is that many who are not lawyers and who don’t have access to the details of these judgements give opinions based on tales by moonlight.

This is a new low for the judiciary.

Lol you know God works in mysterious ways. Maybe the same supreme court you are supporting now may overturn the election of Tinubu and award victory to atiku or obi. It will be interesting to hear your opinion then. But then again you are a shameless one

Very immature from the spokesman. Its unfortunate that ever since the current CJN assumed office this spokesman has been unnecessarily dabbling in the public domain dishing out press statement with big grammar just to impress himself and his boss. We have seen how other CJN and spokesmen have conducted themselves in the past. There was no reason to start responding to every Tom, dick and Harry. That's more mature, instead of attacking anything.

From the foregoing, its obvious that all this spokesman's bile, diatribes and threats are sanctioned by the CJN. Very unnecessary, in my opinion. The CJN is no doubt starting on the wrong footing, and he should just be careful.

Its sad that the guy is beginning to sound like the DSS spokesman, threatening everyone and communicating in a very immature manner.

It's shocking........I was wondering if it was a press release from a political party spokesperson!

After speaking all the unnecessary grammar. The Supreme court detailed explanation why their decision to uphold Akpabio and Lawan as Senatorial candidates of their party did not answer the layman simple but fundamental question: How did Ahmed Lawan return nominated as Yobe senatorial candidate when he did not purchase a primary nomination form or even partake in the primary? He was busy chasing the APC presidential election. 2. Did the electoral act not say a politician cannot contest for more than one office in an election cycle? Question 2 applies to Akpabio as well. He got a nomination form to contest as APC presidential candidate, and eventually stepped down to Tinubu on nomination day. So who is supreme court misleading?

Don't mind PDP . When it favours them, the court is the last hope of a common man. But when they lost, oh they bought the judgement. They must win every case irrespective of what the law says.

Our supreme now in the media to defend their judgement that was based on mere technicalities!! Wow justices like Opùta, Toby Eso etc would be so embarrassed about. I have long lost hope in the supreme Court after Imo governorship judgement which made someone a governor who didn't meet the 25% in 2/3 local government of the state. Dancing seamlessly in public arena

Shamelessly writing in public to defend its judgment which was based on mere technicalities. The practice direction given by the president of the high Court for electoral cases was followed and supreme Court still gave a judgment based on technicalities, the likes of Oputa, Tobi, Eso, et al (jsc) would have been so embarrassed. Since the advent of the Tanko and then Ariwola supreme is no longer anything near supreme, something fishy is happening there ooo

Nigerian judicial officers are amongst the most corrupt people you can get anywhere. They are fantastically corrupt criminals selling justice to the highest bidder. But the worst punishment is reserved for them, here and in the hereafter. We know what is going on.

The substance of the issue is a matter of opinion, and mine may differ from yours. Objectively, though, this is a badly written piece. There's a level of complortment expected from people in high office. Supreme Court spokesman? Shame.
