benalvino3:Can you define CRT in your own words? I watched the video. It's a parent complaining about a woman that got fired for using racial slurs, a few charts and a book "Not my ideas" that teaches the reality and history of racial discrimination in America, and a republican congressman agreeing with her. The specific paragraph she talks about is literally part of a passage condemning White supremacy in America. The specific image is Satan holding up a contract promising whiteness (white supremacy) in exchange for your soul. How's that CRT? It's always odd when this people feel attacked by stating history and the reality of things, and it's telling when the person identifies with those that did the oppression rather than the people that fought to make things better. Here's a short explanation of the theory if you don't know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gdxrkwpPKc I mean it depends on how the teacher goes about teaching anti-racism. It'd be wrong to tell the kids that they themselves are racist or evil due to their skin color. It's just that past wrongs have been done and have yet to be made right, and those wrongs still have a lasting effect to this day. 7th grade.. this isn't elementary school. The school was also willing to change the book for the kid if the parents weren't comfortable with it. Aside from that, I see nothing with wrong having a few rash themes in a novel meant for adolescents. And it's also fine if school boards decided to remove it from there recommend reading list for being too vulgar. You don't seem to understand my major gripe is the threat of imprisonment for teachers, for possession of an unsanctioned book in a classroom. That's just some straight up authoritarian stuff. ?? The subject material of the book in the last vid is indeed bad, though I don't know the whole context, however it was in the library of a high school. High schoolers aren't people I consider to be innocent, immature or need protection from vulgar books. God knows l knew more about sex and brutal nature of reality than I ever let my parents know when I was younger. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

CoolUsername: This is disingenuous, or you understand wrong. If CRT taught that what you claim above, is it your understanding too that it teaches blacks are inherently superior and whites should be adversely treated? Because that's the only reason blacks would support CRT if what you claim above is true. 1 Like |

benalvino3: That is the effect of watching CNN all the time. I have seen mothers going to the school to read out what their kids are given to read in school library. One of them it was so graphic that they were telling the woman to stop cos it's too graphic though she continued until they turned off her mic. Adults think it's too graphic to read in public yet they are giving 12yr Olds to read I will like to see a parent defend why his 18yr old daughter cannot get in the boxing ring with 18yr old boys while calling it culture wars When you start defending a point that you think maybe might sound crazy like having Trans and women occupy the same jail then maybe Sarah Huckabee Sanders was right after all People might think Ted Cruz is a stiff but when his opponent is from a party that believes you can walk into a store take something not pay for it and have no repercussions. They'll be like Ted Cruz stinks but at least he believes in paying for merchandise If you think a child can change sex because he feels he is a girl, then when will you remove his eyes when he thinks he is Jack Sparrow? When you think breast feeding is offensive and will rather use chest feeding When you cannot say a woman rather people who menstruate Then you get the idea why people will look at you crazy 2 Likes |

I'll say this, most Americans would rather a 'Woke person' show up at their door than a Jim Beam soaked, 'Jews will not replace us' MAGA hat wearing Confederate flag waving person. What is the Woke folk gonna do, offer some rainbow M&Ms and straighten out the yard? The woke person has a higher chance of wanting less hate, less gun violence, less tampering with education to curate history, less invasion of women's privacy, less ignorance e.t.c It's the hypocrisy for me. 2 Likes 1 Share

IMAliyu2: I disagree. I'm strongly against censorship for adults but parents should absolutely have a say in what their kids will be exposed to by the school. As a teenager, for example, not all the kids were exposed to the same stuff. Furthermore, there's a difference between things like sex education and biological illustration of sex and things like the normalization of sexual encounters between 4th graders. 1 Like |

Barack Obama I do get a sense sometimes now among certain young people, and this is accelerated by social media, that the way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people and that's enough.'"Obama said. "Like if I tweet or hashtag about how you didn't do something right, or used the wrong verb, then I can sit back and feel pretty good about myself because: 'Man, did you see how woke I was? I called you out.'" "The world is messy," the former president said. "There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws. People who you are fighting may love their kids and, you know, share certain things with you." "That is not activism, that is not bringing about change. If all you're doing is casting stones, you are probably not going to get that far." |

The NRA Has Lost Over a Million Members Since Corruption Allegations Surfaced. The National Rifle Association keeps shrinking. Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre told attendees at the gun-rights group’s most recent board meeting that the organization is down to 4.3 million members, according to multiple sources. That number is corroborated by the group’s November 2022 Financial Statement Package obtained by The Reload. That represents a downturn of more than a million members since allegations of financial impropriety were leveled against LaPierre and other members of NRA leadership in 2019. 1 Like

Elon Musk fired a Twitter engineer after his engagement fell. According to a detailed report from Zoe Schiffer and Casey Newton in the Platformer newsletter (as republished by The Verge), it’s chaos inside Twitter under Elon Musk and employees are worried. First, the report opens with a quintessential Musk event — Twitter’s owner and CEO reportedly gathered a group of the company’s engineers and advisors and asked them why his engagement numbers were tanking. “This is ridiculous. I have more than 100 million followers, and I’m only getting tens of thousands of impressions,” Musk said, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the meeting told Platformer. One of Twitter’s two remaining principal engineers suggested to Musk that interest in his antics was wearing out, and employees reportedly showed him a Google Trends chart depicting Musk’s declining popularity in search rankings. Musk fired the engineer. 2 Likes

IMAliyu2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbLBriAAKQE try this video. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a belief system that sees racism everywhere, in every aspect of life, and seeks to find it in every interaction. It relies on the idea of "interest convergence," which means that white people only give black people opportunities and freedoms when it is also in their own interest. - Obama becoming the president was all part of the systemic racism put in place. Obama was use and is pushing whiteness... things that benefit only whites. CRT is against free societies and seeks to dismantle them and replace them with something its advocates control. It only recognizes race issues as socially constructed groups and doesn't recognize individuals. CRT believes that science, reason, and evidence are a "white" way of knowing and that storytelling and lived experience is a "black" alternative, which is harmful to everyone. It rejects all other alternatives and sees them as forms of racism, making it the only acceptable belief system. Anyone who disagrees with CRT is seen as racist, even if they are black. CRT is never satisfied and can become an activist black hole that threatens to destroy everything it comes into contact with. 2 Likes |

IMAliyu2 Derrick Bell, a late Harvard Law scholar and one of the founders of Critical Race Theory, believed in the "Interest-Convergence Thesis," which suggests that white people grant opportunities and freedoms to black people only when it serves their own interests. Delgado and Stefancic also reference this thesis. page 7. discusses a concept called "interest convergence" or "material determinism," which suggests that racism benefits both wealthy white people and working-class individuals, making it difficult to eliminate. The author uses the example of a controversial idea proposed by Derrick Bell, which argues that a landmark civil rights case may have been motivated more by the self-interest of wealthy white individuals than a genuine desire to help Black people. This idea, which is rooted in Critical Race Theory, is both cynical and alarming. According to the theory, anyone with racial privilege who chooses to become an anti-racist is only doing so for self-serving reasons, such as avoiding criticism or protecting themselves from their own racism. This viewpoint is prevalent in the academic literature on "whiteness studies" and makes it impossible for people with any form of racial privilege to do anything right without being seen as complicit in "racism." As a result, the demands of Critical Race Theory can become manipulative and impossible to satisfy. 1 Like |

SlyFoxxEternity: I don't think Obama is talking about identity politics. Generally Dems fall into to major categories, the liberals and the progressives. Obama is a core liberal. His vision for the democrats is more of compassion and expanding rights to underrepresented or minority groups. Progressives take it further to wage "war" against the opposition. Kamala Harris is Liberal. Biden also is a liberal but has been pandering to progressives a lot. At this point I doubt if Kamala has any support within the progressives camp. Pelosi also lost their support too. She too is a liberal. AOC, Sanders, Warren etc are all progressives. For example, while a liberal will advocate for support for environmental causes, or LGBT rights, a progressive or SJW is looking for how to punish those who are polluting the environment or suppressing LGBT rights. Liberals control the democrat party and like Obama, they are all afraid to an extent of the effects of rising progressive politics. Hillary Clinton had said something like that earlier. Many Black politicians within the Democrat party are liberal and not progressive. Some could be conservative to a certain extent. Politicans like Warnock, Marc Veasey etc are an example. 1 Like 1 Share |

An "unidentified object" which "violated "Canadian airspace" was shot down over Canada Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced. The object was shot down by a U.S. military F-22 fighter jet over the Yukon, Trudeau said. A U.S. official previously confirmed to CBS News Saturday that the object was detected by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and appeared to be a "high-altitude balloon." Trudeau tweeted that "Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled" after he "ordered the take down" of the object by NORAD. In a statement to CBS News, Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said that it was detected over Alaska on Friday night, and then monitored by two F-22 fighter jets with the assistance of the Alaska Air National Guard. The jets were "tracking it closely and taking time to characterize the nature of the object," Ryder said. On Saturday, after the object crossed into Canadian airspace, President Biden authorized the F-22 fighter jet, which is assigned to NORAD, to "take down a high-altitude airborne object over northern Canada," according to Ryder. It was shot down with an AIM 9X missile following "close coordination between U.S. and Canadian authorities," Ryder said. The White House later confirmed that Mr. Biden "authorized" the "take down" of the object "following a call" with Mr. Trudeau. Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand earlier tweeted that she also spoke with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin regarding the object, and that they "reaffirmed that we'll always defend our sovereignty together." 1 Like |

CoolUsername:Does this include looking at and talking about the current and historic beliefs of some ideologies, Like say Nazism hypothetically? This is fine. You really can't look at black history and racism without stating that some groups of people by virtue of their skin color were f..ed over, and others by virtue of their skin color were beneficiaries of that system, and their descendants still reap some of those benefits today. Redlining, destruction of black Wall Street and historic access to bank loans resulting in further disproportionate the accumulation of wealth in the hands of some communities and not others, comes to mind among other things. However yes it'd be morally wrong and unjust to lay the blame of say slavery or colonialism on individual white people living today which never had a part in that. But we can damn well talk about the systems and the effects created by past injustices, and those that are likely still benefiting from it. If the conservatism was one about exercising caution, that would be ideal, but the one I see the most is fear mongering and calls for bans in ignorance. From what I can get from the summery of the results and conclusion is that reassignment in children with gender dysphoria, doesn't solve their other psych problems. So if the kid already had depression and/or social anxiety, transitioning doesn't help with this other comorbidity and should be treated separately, and those that were doing fine pre transition mostly continue being fine afterwards. 2 Likes 1 Share

raumdeuter:That's part of education. We teach rudimentary sex education to preteens because it's been proven to prevents sexual abuse. And telling kids that the LGBT.. people exists doesn't harm them. I'd oppose explicit inappropriate stuff, but is this really as massive a problem as you're being lead to believe? No one is doing that, I explained the diagnosis and prescription process in my first reply to coolusername. This a complex topic about hormones, puberty and body mass that I'd rather have sport scientist deal with, and create rules on, not legislatures. Like what is the actual number of transwomen participating in female sports right now that you'd think it's much of a national issue? The state of Idaho banned it, and turns out there was only ever one trans student that was even participates in girls sports. But the way it's talked about one might assume it's was a massive wave. From the material I've looked at, I doubt this really being taught, it's parents misunderstanding the subject material and history being taught, but if a teacher was infact teaching that people were evil due to skin color, I'd support they be fired. I don't think police brutality should ever be defended. Yeah this just dumb. But a case could be made for the decriminalization of some drugs, resulting in better outcomes. See my other replies. I really don't care about sports, if my daughter wants to compete in a sport against someone of the opposite sex, that's her decision. Don't get me wrong there are crazy sh!t some liberals and Dems believe that I would never support. But you have an entire national party choosing to focus on mainly that? What are the republicans position on the massive cost of medical care on the American population? What about the housing crisis? What about the growing cost of living? Corporate taxes? Minimum wage? Education? 1 Like 1 Share |
