There are reports of some banks collecting the old 500/1000 notes today without customers filling any CBN online form. Wont this defeat the purpose of the procedure laid down by CBN? Implementation has always been the issue with Nigerian initiatives.

Still the same thing, how many people have access to this? The website that will soon crash because of traffic. And today is even Friday. They will ease the stress from Tuesday but then again, the politicians who have stashed money will no longer make use of the money. FG have created the panic they want to create. No one will agree to collect old notes from you as a means of bribe for vote buying. By the time people will be comfortable again to accept it, presidential election must have come and gone.

My personal opinion, if the aim of this is to mop up cash ment for voter buying, funds should be frozen till after elections.

With the way things are now , the aim of the policy has been defeated. Because what it means is that you can spend the old notes and later take it to the bank for deposit. So politicians can use the old notes to buy votes and people can take it to the bank for deposit

How many villagers can do this? This is exactly what Dr Idika Kalu said . Those guys in AC offices in CBN are ignorant and live on another planet.

Let everyone please calm down and protest peacefully.

The directive from the President is an illegal directive that disobeys lawful court order.

Election holds in 8 days. You should all come out en masse to vote for Asiwaju. Only Asiwaju can stop them from turning your old notes into tissue paper.

Once Asiwaju wins, old notes will remain till December 2023 and Emefiele will be fired for monumental gross incompetence.
Every one should remain calm please.

The Agbado enclave are clueless of what scheme to use to manipulate the election.

They have suddenly gotten a spoke man that had never spoken for the masses, those killed here and there, but suddenly have the masses at heart.

Abeg, which heart?

Even Lagos state is not sure for the Agbadorians shocked.

In God we truth, and He's ready if we are ready. Baba, we are ready. Freedom for the masses, freedom for Nigeria

Meanwhile,
This process you described, it worked well Yesterday.
But the portal stopped working throughout today.
THE PORTAL BECAME HEAVILY OVERLOADED TODAY.

They had to tell us to go back to our various banks and do manual registration, without having to generate any codes through the CBN portal.

What are the procedures inside the bank? Did you fill any form before depositing the money?

Great.

Note, this isn't a win for either Buhari, Obidients or Tinubu, but a win for normalcy and the average Nigerian. A great scheme of this magnitude shouldn't be done in a shoddy and haphazard manner.

I still love you Jesus Christ, as the only Way, Truth and the Life.
God bless you. You have said it all
