I actually thought this paragraph was going to end with Obi being implicated in customs scam like innoson, zinox and coscharis 🤷‍♂️
Lol, all they do is wish and project about Obi. Nothing more, nothing less.

As far as their corrupt and thieving overlords with all their machinary couldn't find any dirt on OBI when he dared them, no need taking these ones here serious. The election is here already and a New Nigeria is upon us.

as a banking guy, you know where i'm coming from

I actually do understand that "Na who dem catch be thief " for Nigeria. But what I just find puzzling is the fact that Obi is a politician, he's ruled a state in Nigeria, he's contested against other politicians who can fight dirty and have resources to dig into him and his business dealings before he became a politician. None of these people has been able to dig dirt on him enough to stick.

I mean dem Coscharis are not even politicians and their past dealings made it to the news. Is it that Obi's opponents are not doing enough digging or what? Or is he shrewd enough to have covered his tracks? (NB: I'm talking about the import/customs scam u mentioned in Ur post here o, not any other matter)

By the way, all of us supporting obi? What makes us think he wouldn't be much worse than his predecessors?

So of obi turns out bad tomorrow.. somebody will be using it to equate our daily life struggles?

Any person that is looking for any politician to save him is wasting his time because all of them are literally the same..

Because antecedence matters! That's why even as at 2018, I wanted him to run as President. I have posts on this forum which corroborate this.

Say all you'd say about him but Obi didn't waste resources or steal. He was frugal in managing the scarce resources available to Anambra.

Manage scarce resources available to Nigeria well and lead the charge to cut down on corruption, and most people don't give a tuppence about politics.
Failed economic policies is why most people want change of leadership.

I am judging Obi based on antecedence. An old dog can't learn new tricks. Buhari is the same as he was in 1983 - 1985, Obi is the same as he was in 2006 - 2014.

Antecedence. All smart businessmen make decisions based on indices and Obi's indices are solid.

Once again, if Tinubu doesn't win, Atiku wins. There is no other possibility and I am happy with that.

President Tinubu or President Atiku.

Those are the options. You will have to pick one. cheesy

To me, PDP did wrong calculations. They should have picked a southern candidate. Buhari is from the North and has completed 8 years already. So the next should come from South.

I see Tinubu winning this election. Though I don hammer am in the past sha but he is winning this.

Since it's exactly one week to 2023 Presidential elections. These are fun facts :

¶ Since 1999, whatever political party wins Kwara state in the Presidential election eventually wins the whole country.

Looks like that will stop this election cycle. No one knows.

¶ Once a Party scores more than 50% in a state, there is no way 3 pol. parties will have the necessary 25% in that state.

This is scary. 3 frontrunners in the election.

¶ In the case of a runoff, it's not always the 2 Pol. Parties with the highest votes. It's the party with the highest votes and the party that has won more states.

National Spread will always matter. If your bulky votes is from a specific region. It doesn't look good.

Now this is a narrative I feel I have to correct. People have been voting out unpopular or incompetent leadership now for a while now but we have just chosen to not to see it to drive the narrative "people should realise they have the power" talk.

2003 a school teacher with barely a kobo to his name defeated Kwankwaso a whole sitting governor of Kano.

Peter Obi too beat the incumbent PDP that year.

2007 that was the worst 'election' in Nigeria's history Oshiomhole, Aregbesola and Fayemi still garnered enough votes that wuruwuru couldn't stop them from claiming their mandates.

2015 Buhari beat an incumbent.

2019 Saraki a whole Senate president lost against a rookie politician in his domain even with the support of the governor of his state who was PDP.

2020 Edo no be Lagos mantra that humbled Oshiomhole.

So if Peter Obi doesn't win it's because he didn't do enough to convince the generality of people not any people discovering whatever gist.

APC is there for the taking but the forces that should have aligned for now and worried about sharing the spoils later might just hand the APC an 'undeserved' victory at the polls.

izzou:
If there is any reason Obi should be considered, it is the fact that his victory means the people have come to discover that they have the power over their leaders.

Tinubu fought to end PDP's rule (I commend him for that), but he has now become the exact same thing PDP was; Rewarding failure with more time.

You cannot dissociate the man from his party, and it is true. Elements of Buhari's incompetent team will be part of it. Imagine a Ganduje that has his robbery on the internet, becoming part of those making our decisions. Let's not deceive ourselves abeg

I don't see Nigeria becoming better, but one thing is clear; If APC wins, we would come back 8 years later and wish Buhari was here.

All these and yet still you cannot point to one evidence of corruption against the man.

Yesterday, i went on an official appointment in the quaint city of Potsdam. I had difficulty locating the right office (everything is in German man) and i met a kindly Sicherheit (Security Officer) who showed me the correct office and asked if i was a Nigerian. I replied, “yes” and we got to chatting.

He asked me “Why is Germany having a sudden influx of Nigerians?”. Usually he mostly sees Eritreans, Ethiopians and Ghanaians. I replied something something economic opportunities but the real answer in my mind is, “Baba, Buhari has fcked the country up and we’re now moving like refugees”. He never know wetin dey sup grin

Omo, our next President must work menh. This administration done cause serious wahala

Maturity matters a lot sha. Its not by age though, but by being wise and sensible.

Itrsm supported Atiku, today he is supporting Obi. None of Batists crucifies him and we are still flowing here as Brothers.

Seankafor switches from BAT has balls to Obi, and at worse Atiku, I have not seen any Batist comes after him.

Izzou has finally come down from Fence to wholly support Obi, yet we are still relating well and he remains respected by every sensible person on this board.

Monerozi5590 stops believing in Obi candidacy, alas! He was roasted not even as Berbecue but as Suya.

Some Obidients are so reasonable sha on this same board - TrebleChamp, Segedinho, EmmanuelScott1 are typical examples.

Even though I have had lot of encounters with liveLongNprospa, I still respect him to some extent same as Theflint1.

Election is next week, next President will emerge and new hope gonna be renewed for a prosperous Nigeria.

There is no essence going dirty with anyone at this point. It's gonna change nothing or influence any goddamn thing.

Tinubu is coming!!!

They are trying too hard to make Obi look as dirty as tinubu.

Obi himself dared them, none of them came forward to make the man drop from the race. Na for Nairaland them go dey cry.

Actor Kunle Afod with an interesting post on his IG handle on how the whites impoverished Africa, especially Sub-Saharan Africa.

Apparently, the whites and our leaders are responsible for the sorry state of Africa as a whole.

Recently i saw a video online and ur thoughts on Africans not following the ways of their colonial masters/ex-oppressors like lame duck crossed my mind.

In the video a teacher was seen using a very a whip on the students who laid on the floor waiting for it to get to there turn to receive serious lashing on the back and buttocks. (I don't know what exactly their offence was tho).

So we have a lot of our people in the comment section criticising the teacher for resorting to corporal punishment in this age and time. They claim in the modern world there's no place for whipping kids like that cos such things don't happen in the western world.

Now we also have people in the comment section who pointed it out that they got straight in their teenage years due to serious whipping from teachers, parents and guardians who saw to it that they didn't become truant/drop outs.

Now my question is this ; what do u think? Do u think the western wokeness of not whipping a child works for Africans? Should we align with these new woke culture or we should stick with our old ways of spare the Rod and spoil the child?
