Our first means of communication was likely not spoken words. Even before we developed languages, we have use various means to communicate. Cave, drawing is the oldest form of communication we know. We evolved to the point of being able to speak and then we eventually fine tuned it which resulted in language creation. Are you saying chimpanzee don't communicate with each other?
