may GOD bless u for m bro, have been trying to adjust to those smaller timeframes just to have the share from the market quickly and behold i have failed ALL cos am already used to both monthly and weekly timeframes and hold trades for weeks.SO how can then prove m that i should go for prop firm that i have failed countless time when am profitable in nearly all my condusive technique?

In conclusion DO WHAT U KNOW BEST

Edit: BigPip funding is a scam prop firm company. Be warned pls

MyFundedFX, BigPip funding, Finotive funding..these are prop firms that have removed time limit from their challenges. So you can trade at your own pace, no need to rush, no need to change your style of trading.

Prop firms are good because you can use them to raise big capital for your personal account.

Good afternoon huz,
Pls I want to get a 10k mff funded account
But just wanted to know which step is preferably
1 step or 2step
I actually thought it's just 2steps but am seeing options for either 1 or 2 steps
I just want to know if there are different rules for each of d options

If you're referring to MFFX (MyFundedFX), go for the 2 step challenge.

The 1 step challenge has a disadvantage of 6% trailing drawdown. ie if you begin trading, and you start making profit, the 6% DD trails as you close trades in profit. If your balance or equity goes back down to hit 6% loss, you'll lose the account.

I don't know if it's clear enough for you.

Oil price rising back near middle band line. The Bands seems narrowed measure low volatility.

Bad news citing to Oilprice, Rising Energy Prices Are Pushing Millions More People Into Poverty. Recent study found that between 78 million and 141 million people around the world could be pushed into extreme poverty by rising energy prices.
Estimates suggest high energy prices have led to an increase in overall household expenditure of between 2.7% and 4.8%.

Another problem is the daily DD that is drawn based on equity. Which of these propfirms that you've listed draws their DD based on balance lik ftmo biko?

BigPip's 1 step challenge has a static DD of 5% of the initial account balance.
No daily equity or balance based DD. As you make your profits, you can keep on compounding your account.

This is good for swing traders, as you won't have to worry about violating your account if your profits drop down back to your entry.

Example, 100k balance, floating profit of 6k into the next day, if the profit drops to 0, you won't violate your account. Just don't hit below 95000.

This is what I have been saying, it doesn't make sense to have an equity draw down, or a draw down even when the account isn't below the original starting capital. The aim of trading is to make profit, that's it, profit.

I'm going to violate their equity draw down, hopefully they see I still ended in profit and understand their rules were imposing limit on traders.

If one intends to succeed long term as a forex trader, you need to conquer prop firm rules.

If you're consistent with trading prop firm accounts, you'll be consistent in growing your personal account long term, because you'll be disciplined enough on risk management.

But then, everyone with their own opinion.

You literally need to go back and understand what trading is all about.

I read your post when you said that your strategy permit you to lose 5% daily but you will still come out profitable, I was like is this guy for real grin This is someone's company, they created the rules and regulations by themselves, why the unnecessary ranting.
Listen even professional managers at Hedge fund, exchange traded funds, mutual funds , wall street ain't permit to lose more than 5% monthly, that's why they are majorly supervised by risk managers.

In any business endeavor , risk mitigation should be paramount . anyone here who claims that he/she abhors prop firm cus of equity DD of 5%, obviously don't know what he is doing, how on earth would you lose 2% on a particular day and you are Still trading.hmm

Wealth is built overtime, why don't you risk .2- 0.5% per position, if you lose 4 in row call it a day.

If you make 4-7% per month, not bad..
Having this mindset will make your trading journey easy .

I was driving the other day when I tuned in to my favorite podcast, I was listening to a guy of 25 who was diagnosed of kidney failure how he manages $7M for investor, and made 85% last year, when he speaks he always emphasizes on risk, that's how real traders does.. good luck.

Mind you, props firm is not a yardstick for measuring traders growth. Remember different strokes for different folks

Who said it was "a" yardstick for measuring traders growth? undecided

It's my own yardstick. Plus I've watched several prop firm interview videos where traders said passing and trading prop firm account helped them become a better trader. I couldn't agree more, because it also helped me.

2023 advice to those who've already found their edge (strategy) in forex.

Get a $10k prop form acocunt for around $100

Take your time to pass the challenges.

Go-to funded. Trade, withdraw, reward yourself (optional), save up to purchase a $200, $400 or $500k account

Pass the challenges.

Get funded, trade at your pace, making 1% a month will set you years ahead.

One more contribution.

Bespoke funding calculates daily DD like FTMO.
So if a trade is carried to the next day, it'll calculate the next day's DD based on the balance and not equity.

Cheers.
