I have it on good authority that Kwanwanso played "false 9" for APC in the North. Directed his supporters to vote/work for APC. The calculation for him is that with Tinubu's presidency, he still has a shot in later elections but with Atiku zero chances in the future.

He held on to Kano so he can demonstrate his strength and pull in Kano ahead of the gubernatorial election which he desperately wants his candidate to win.

When you look back at some events - Obanikoro was minister for defense and he literally harassed Tinubu during the 2015 campaign. But less than a year later, the man was back in apc. I still wonder what really went down.

isn't it too convenient that at the time APC was at its weakest and most vulnerable ready to be devoured was when 3 pillars of the party decided to break away (Obi, Kwankwanso and G5)
