As me and you are talking, more results are being altered and re-altered. These results will never stand up to scrutiny.

Pdp has to take the governorship elections in the SS seriously if not apc might just clear everywhere. Labour party is eating into a huge chunk of pdp votes without doing anything to apc. This leaves pdp weak, giving apc enough free-hand to ride to victory just like in the presidential election at the national level.

Labour party is just ruining things for pdp at every level. It's beginning to seem as if there's an agreement between APC and labour party.

What is the usage of BVAS ...if results announcement doesn't have anything to do with d transmission..

Cos even as at present... results isn't fully transmitted but announcement is ongoing
This here is the issue. I saw a video last year when the INEC chairman was accused of planning with APC not to upload results immediately after elections. The guy promised that that's the purpose of introducing the BVAS in the first place.

The INEC staff were trained to upload the results in real time at the very polling units immediately after elections.

This failure is the reason for agitation because everyone hoped on it.

Your post is laughable. A counter-argument can easily be made that PDP is ruining things for LP as if APC and PDP are in some form of alliance; after all, Tinubu said "vote PDAPC" in one of his campaigns.

It may not be deliberate.

I read Raumdeuter's piece on Tinubu's tactical master plan in politics describing it as a chess game. I felt he is in love not with the person but the personality and the story behind him. It's like watching a gangster movie and the 'good guy' is the gang leader (like in Power). You want him to succeed.

He can enjoy the show happening in Nigeria from the comfort of his home abroad. It's those who are in the actual 'movie scene' who feels what it's like living under the influence of a gangster leader is that are complaining.

This is Nigerian politics. You deal with that hand you are given. Would it have been better if Tinubu captipulated and pdp ruled this country for 60 years as they boasted?

Do you think a Peter obi would have had any political chance in such an environment?

Or do you need Dayo to write out the alternate history? Pdp ruled Nigeria for 200 years. Atiku abubakar succedded olu segun obasanjo and made himself president for life. The end.

BAT has ruled Lagos longer than PDP has ruled Nigeria.

Is there a reliable justice system in Nigeria?

Can a high court or Supreme Court effect any change?

Labour party should go to court but I don't trust our justice system. I also do not support violence.

Is it Bat's fault that the opposition have repeatedly been unable to get their shit together?

As long as PDP gets their fair share in a largely free and fair election, I still struggle to see how BAT despite Akpabio's influence would have gotten 25% in Akwa Ibom. You knew of this Akapbio's influence before the election, but you said BAT would not get 25% from Akwa Ibom, especially after he came to the state to cuss Udom...isn't it surprising you're now saying BAT was poised to get 25% in Akwa Ibom because of factors you previously discounted?

I do not think the same thing we saw will happen with the governorship election except PO will be on the ballot again.

Plus there will be voter apathy seeing what has just happened with the presidential. If you spent 6 hours on the queue to vote only to see votes from your PU magically reduced from say 166 to 10, will you bother with any election again?

That's how I see it, I may well be wrong.

You've captured this very well. This is very apt and succinct.

Now the question now stands, who are the kind of people or what are the personalities of people who when watching movies, rather than empathize with the underdogs or the oppressed in the movie, side with or view favorably the oppressor or the criminal??

For instance, when I watched narcos, the main series, I remember that while there were a few qualities I liked in Escobar, like the way he tried to protect family or even his acute business sense, I was constantly on the side of the law enforcement and was very happy when he was caught and killed. Because at the base of the character was a murdering monster..

Reading dayos' epistle about tinubu, I was amused by his lack of awareness for some fo what he had just typed.

In one instant, he described how tinubu basically whitewashed buhari's image and sold to the public. Imagine not recognizing that you are accepting that tinubu is responsible for basically decieving millions of nigerians into voting for buhari via his propaganda networks.

And even when buhari failed, be just watched silently by, because of his personal ambitions. In other words, he let the country burn to the ground all for his personal ambitions.

Secondly, he spoke about how tinubu was sponsoring one politician or the other and how they owe him that allegiance.
My question becomes, are these not the failed set of politicians that have collectively brought nigeria to it's knees??
Secondly, the money used to sponsor these politicians of his, was this not basically public stolen funds? Money which if channeled properly will propel Lagos to a far higher height?

Lol.

Like in football, you can only face the opponent at hand.

PDP came, then APC. That's the timeline. We cannot conclude that if APC didn't happen then PDP would have continued.

Unfortunately I do not know what the breakdown of their budget is - or if they even captured these issues in their project planning.

The real question - will they learn from this, or will we have the same story in 2027?

IMO.

It is a tactic deployed to cut corner....in all honesty, the emergence of BVAS was the major reasons people got interested in d voting system... atleast votes will be counted this time around as results will be sent out almost immediately...

It is shameful we still fell aback after spending much .

I listened to a developer/analyst at Arise this morning and all I could deduced was "the happenings was planned" to favour d archaic way of transmission

I hope so. Anyhow they want to do it , they should go ahead. Apc must not win any ss state in the gubernatorial elections.

See the fuckery going on in delta state. Okowa better prepare every rigging and violence machinery, because we can not afford to lose that state. He should go and beg ibori too.

Delta, rivers , and bayelsa should never go to apc.

Why I posted this. The moment there is any technical hitch people will automatically assume agenda.

The problem is that inec is a govt org with no pressure for self improvement. I doubt if there will be a post mortem aimed at ensuring these issues do not happen so people can have faith in the process or at least no opportunity to cry foul.

Anyways what do I know, really?

I don't hold him more responsible than those who are on ground. He didn't participate in the process, even those he could have influenced were adults who should reason for themselves.

That's why he will still advice any one to japa at the slightest opportunity.

It's those on ground who actually participated directly or indirectly and who are not going to be direct beneficiaries of the new political power that are the real evil.

I stopped watching it after season 2 or so, I think when they were about to find some other faux moral justification for their next crime...I said na, better you tell me you're hardcore criminals that enjoy committing crime than this nonsense about commiting crime because of some weird moral reason.

I logged out of the film way before the end sha, it became too preachy and sanctimonous for a bunch of criminals doing criminal stuff

There's a news/rumor going round now that none of PDP or APC can be declared winner of the election despite getting the required 25% in 25 states because the law says u must have 25% in 24 states AND FCT.

LP won FCT by 62% and none of PDP or APC had up to 25% there.

At this point una sure say Mahmood Yakubu no go get migraine like this?

I seriously doubt it. APC and PDP would have done their homework on this. If this was the case FCT would have been a battleground.

He dey advise people to japa but we're to believe Tinubu is the best candidate to lead Nigeria.

Keep contradicting yourself. You can't be supporting and praising those oppressing people and chasing them away from their father's land and still be acting as if you're sympathizing with the oppressed encouraging them to quickly vacate their father's land.

Are you doing that so the oppressors can have everything for themselves? Or you support the brain drain plaguing the country?

What's the motivation?

Just pick one side and stop being double-faced.

At the end of the day, I know the politicians are not the friends just as the person encouraging me to japa while praising and promoting the politicians.

The abroadians that mean well and encourage people to japa don't support the oppressors.

Just pick a side and stick to it.
