The funniest thing is all of the things they claimed before the election only to end up laughing at this gross dishonesty and keeping quiet in the face of injustice.

I swear, it would not have pained me if OBI ACTUALLY LOSES because nobody rate am.

If he had lost because he was an unserious social media president, I would have licked my wounds.

But you bragged about structure and political allies just to end up supporting this?

Was it a lack of LP Senators, Governors, Representatives, Hononrables and Councillors that made him lose? undecided

Proper gaslighters.

It's how these people will come tomorrow again and come and grandstand and be punctuating as if they have any moral right to condemn evil things for me

any person that is in Nigeria or any where in the world that comes out to condemn evil or act sanctimonious whilst supporting this caricature of election.. if that person is beside me, I might murder that person on God

Yes, that's the only way I see Lyon winning.

The way NNPP bodied APC last Saturday things are looking bleak for APC in the governorship. That gap is hard to recover in 2 weeks

The truth is Kwankwaso owns kano at this moment. Nobody matches the loyal supporters he has the state in the state.

And funny thing is, the only thing got him such love is abroad scholarship program.

From 2011-2015, he sponsored more than 4000 student to study in various countries in the world. He also offers local scholarship where he sponsored Kano student to local private universities in the country like Igbinedion, covenant etc.

So like everyone has someone that benefited from the government, My cousin was trained as Pilot in Jordan. and you dont need to know anyone, just submit your document and you will be called if you are eligible. so this single act alone won him the heart of almost all the everyone.

You go see someone wey never take local flight but was sponsored to dubai and place on $200 monthly allowance.

Yes, the state is going to NNPP, I don't think there is anything that can stop that. Both Buhari and Ganduje have angered people so I don't see APC winning unless they introduced something we have never seen in the state-That's use of the gun in the election, but as long as it is thugs and usual cutlass they are using, nothing will stop NNPP from winning the election.

There is only one person in Kano APC that has mass appeal in his region, Barau Maliya, the only senator that won his re-election in the last election and there is no way his influence can win the election for APC.

This is actually not something new in Kano. Incumbent party lose Election in Kano twice since 1999. Kwankwaso lost his re-election in 2003 despite incumbency, and Shekarau anointed candidate, Sagir Takai lost to Kwankwaso in 2011.

On your last question, the people did not just vote and go come home. Everybody has the party and the candidate he is supporting. Almost everyone is involved in the campaign committee and organization for the candidate they are supporting.

so on the election day, people voted, waited, and escort the result to the collation center. so unless you use gun, there is no way you can chase away 200 people that are guarding their votes.

Educative.
Real grassroot politics......
Manipulation still remains possible at ward collation level as seen in the presidential elections.

Please, tell me that this election is not an actual signal for the free reign of evil.

Bold-faced, blatant evil without repercussions. grin grin

Shey these BATists will come and tomorrow to come and criticise kidnapping, Internet fraud or any ill the society tomorrow?

If the wave that was rode to the presidency is literally illegal, where does the line for wrong and right behaviours for the citizens start?

This is me being "realistic", as some of them like to tout.

If that INEC's announcement stands, and it's not reversed, I so much fear for the precedent this is setting.

It's for everyone to be living based on a personality morality and security niyen.

That's it. It's a free reign for vandalisers, kidnappers, people who administer jungle justice and the rest.

And I know these things have been happening I'm the country before, buy nobody has ever seen it playing out this huge on a governmental level.

It's like everything that has been happening before multiplied to the power of 100.

Just do anyhow, and don't be caught. Nobody fit hold you.

Dapo will win. Na confirm.

Adelabu has himself to blame for losing the APC structure that he inherited from Ajimobi. After Ajimobi death, i expected him to have been at the forefront of opposition in the state consolidating his reach and loyalist but he was nowhere to be found until Folarin had the entire structure in his palm. It wasnt until congress before he realized that Folarin had hijacked APC Oyo away from him.

Opposition is hard, its even harder if you are now an absentee leader, your followers will follow the leader thats available.
I quite agree

Hopefully, people who came before us Gen Z and who are versed in political history will beautifully address the part of your commentary talking about Ironsi.

If I knew well enough, I would have, but I can bet my thumb that your account of that coup will be a misrepresentation, as well, judging by the rest of your comment body.
The fact that you don't even know the bolded means you don't understand the basis of what you're actually replying to
but to introduce you to it I'd give you 3 links for a start. you can dig deeper if you so desire

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_Nigerian_coup_d'état
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_anti-Igbo_pogrom
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_Nigerian_counter-coup

You can then check out Biafran war. Hausa's still bear the scars and would never agree to let Igbos have Biafra neither would they allow an Igbo man to rule no matter how saintly such an Igbo man can appear. they'd rather support and vote a known criminal from another region than vote a saint from South east even if they magically look into the future and see the Igbo Saint would make Nigeria a paradise

If you are looking for context for some in his position referring to someone as "Afonja", then I can help you. It is the same as calling an Igbo person, a Nyamiri. They are words that are initially not slurs but are now.

The Yoruba tribalists are really scared and are clutching at anything cluthable. wink

That tribal sentiment that tinubu has brewed in Lagos will truly ripen this election.

I'm just seeing that GVR's mother is igbo and with this tweet showing something slightly pro-igbo, I believe the campaign of calumny and propaganda will intensify deeply..
