What Wike did should not be allowed to stand tbh. I expect the tribunal to cancel that River results. Total sham.

That's what he has been doing since 2015 and it makes no sense.

What of those INEC RECs involved? There should be consequences. I can't begin to imagine how much they must have been offered.

But what is wrong in what he said though, several persons agree that BIAFRA day should be respected, if not for anything for the lives of millions of Igbo's that perished in the course of it, and as a reminder for us not to allow things get to that point ever again.

I agree with you, and I wholeheartedly support the concept of Biafra.

But Gbadebo has an Igbo mother, is married to an Igbo woman, and is running on Peter Obi's platform for governorshio of a Yoruba state...none of which is a problem ...until he gets caught using the word Afonja to diss someone.

That word in combination with these characteristics is a death sentence to his political aspirations, at least this election season.

And I ain't mad at that.

Tell them those bets were made under the influence of whatever comes to your mind, hence its null and void coz your state of mind at the time is as same as a madman.

Afonja has a particular connotation, agreed, but the context in which he used Afonja matters more than anything else. GRV is a Yoruba ethnic nationalist and the word Afonja though used as a slur, can and is used by some Yoruba's to tackle Yoruba's they believe are standing against the interests of the Yoruba ethnic group as a whole.

The contexts in which he used these words matter more than anything else, GRV has not shied away from who he is, a Yoruba ethnic nationalist.

You are the foremost speech renovator on this thread. There's nothing you cannot renovate grin

I have never seen or heard a Yoruba person use Afonja as a diss to another Yoruba person before, so whilst you may have experienced it, I have no such frame of reference, and as such taken at face value, the context is a lot clearer.

A half-igbo man, married to an Igbo woman, with an history of defending IPOB online, used the word Afonja as a diss, as was his right mind you. No opinion here, just plain facts.

If a Yoruba electorate exercise their rights to not to vote such a person in as Governor of a Yoruba state, my opinion is that I am not mad at it.

Why are you putting up pictures of his poster, because of his name Chinedu, so na one drop rule dey make una run all this agenda...it's become clear now. GRV that has his family ancestry going up to 4 generations in Lagos is less Lagosian than Tinubu from Iragbigi...interesting.

GRV is an ethnic nationalist that's Yoruba with an Igbo mum and if you know anything about ethnic nationalists from Nigeria, they all converge in them questioning the existence of the Nigerian state as is or at all.

Lol, I think it'd depend then on the story one wants to tell, if they're misinformed, they might believe he's an Igbo mole as is being peddled, when in truth he's a Yoruba ethnic nationalist with a famous Lagos ancestry.
