So how much do you think was released since the amount budgeted should not be used

The bold is totally untrue! My uncle ( my father's younger brother) has been living in Port Harcourt, Rivers state since I can remember. He married an indigene in 1998 and myself and the rest of our family were there live in Port Harcourt in 1998. I watched most of the France 1998 world cup in port Harcourt.

Need I tell u that my family is a typical Yoruba family that has both Christians and Muslims in the family line. My grandma is a core Muslim but never objected to him marrying a south southerner who is a christain and even didn't have issues with my uncle when he converted to Christianity. My grandma loved her daughter-in-law like her own daughter despite not speaking same language.

Make Una stop these myopic narrative una dey drop ; it does nothing but wants to make those of us who are reasonable to want to join in the tribal rofo rofo fight una dey mong around.

FYI: My uncle still live In Rivers State till date and he owns properties there just like Igbo's, Hausas, Ibibios, Efiks etc own properties In Lagos.

Itsrm is even a Yoruba man and he lives in Rivers state as well.
There are exceptions, but generally Yoruba's hardly settle in other Southern states like that, at least from the little I know.

The problem i have with my Yoruba brothers is that they hardly travel to other parts of Southern Nigeria.
To them, Lagos is the all and all of Nigeria. They believe Nigeria starts and ends in Lagos.
Aside Lagos, the next place the typical yoruba man thinks of relocating to is abroad. To him, no other place is better than Lagos so why should he go the other way round when those people are coming to his side.
For some of us who are not homeboys (i usually use it as a name for the typical yorubas who never travelled out of South-west), we have travelled and seen other places and are marveled about what is going on over there.
I schooled in Oron, so i know how developed Uyo and environment is. Have been to Calabar and environment, been to many south-south states and south-east and i can categorically tell you, the south-wet is the most backward out of the 3 souths.
My brothers don't like hearing this. Some will call me omo-ale (a bastard) which is typical of them. I guess the truth hurts.
I do not say this to bring them down or denigrate them rather for us to sit-up and improve. There is no point living in self-denial.
Reason why i do tell them that Lagos/Tinubu/and other Lagos governors have all failed. They are serial failures.

You can't be generating this huge amount of money and your city still looks like a shit-hole.
If AKpabio can turn Akwa-ibom around in 8 years with the money he got which is not up to what Lagos is generating, tarred roads, built stadium, Standard hospital, now ibom-air yet lagos can float Lagos-air and many more and they think their governors are working, then something is wrong somewhere.
Tbh, i only have pity for them.

When I was asking what Tinubu and Sanwo-Oli use the annual #760 billion IGR and almost #170 billion FAAC for to warrant the kind of borrowinh in trillions Lagos has in debt this January, they glossed over it.

With remote work and economic diversification in my own state happening, how many arguments in favour of residing full-time in Lagos are valid?

------

3 days ago, the the guy who claims to have a certain GloriousGbola was stating I moved to Akwa Ibom from Lagos for reasons he assunes.

I moved to Akwa Ibom for my sanity!

I moved for my security! I have never been harassed by the police here that's why EndSARS was like a party here. Please confirm this. EndSARS rallies in Akwa Ibom were like carnivals because most couldn't relate to police brutality, including me (and I hope I never do), but I have empathy for those who have so it was a solidarity protest/carnival for youths in other parts of Nigeria for those who organised it.
I was busy at the office so didn't protest but I empathise with them.

It was even the police protecting protesters while drinking and dancing with them. Doubt me, we place a bet and I post pictures and videos and proof.

Lagos where every young man with a laptop is tagged a yahoo boy by extorting agberos and government officials, but here I want to even pitch to senior policemen 'cause I'm not worried about harassment. [/b]

- Why should I live in Lagos where I have to buy water from 'olomi' like Jerrycan Boy, Gbola, mentions here daily??
Bragging about buying water from dirty rickety trucks they barely wash and untreated water most likely? Ah!

- Why should I live in Lagos where I'd get stuck in traffic for 5 hours?

- Where I can't see my kids leave for school by 7;00AM because I am on the road by 5AM? Where when I am back, they are already asleep?
And I'm gone before they wake?

Live in Lagos where there is no light or plans to improve it actively when my state government in Akwa Ibom built a state power company which is even transmitting to some communities and is pressuring the federal government to give autonomy because it is ready to transmit to the whole state?

Damn it! As far back as 2005, my LGA was having 24/7 electricity and there were no LPG stations or kerosene depots because its useless with 24/7 electricity. Please confirm this.
While we were battling electricity issues in Lagos all that while.

In Lagos, where I am worried if I am on the go by 2:00AM, the best thing to expect is being robbed? Best because anything less than best would end up with you getting dismembered.

Where I am scared of Ember months kidnappers of my kids?

Have you been hearing of ritual killings in Akwa Ibom? Rampant stories of missing body parts? No! Security is the culture in Akwa Ibom.

---

In Lagos where I am taxed to death by Tinubu's agberos and his daughter?

Lagos which has constantly been top 2 of the world' most unlivable cities? Largest slum? Massive slums all over without planning?

These people who haven't seen what a decently functional government which is accountable to some extent think their hard life and societal struggles in Lagos make them cooler than others.

----
They should move to come see us live their holidays as our everyday life - easy-going, safe, relaxed, fun, beautiful scenery and friendly people.

When you experience Ibeno Beach in Akwa Ibom or the one in my LGA which is open to the public and neatly kept from being desecrated, you'd understand the Kuramo Beach and Bar Beach of Lagos don't come close.

Do they want me to mention the beaches at Itu and Ukanafun where the waters are literally blue like in the Caribbeans and you can see the floor, they'd realize what they are missing out of.
]

By the way, if you didn't explore these places, you didn't even explore Akwa Ibom.

I could go on and on naming natural tourist spots that'd blow your mind in Akwa Ibom.

See how I didn't mention Ekiti, Osun, Ondo and the likes? It's insulting to mention those backward states to Akwa Ibom on all indices, yet those are the states of all of them claiming Lagos which is even underperforming.
They are ashamed to even mention their States of Origin and Akwa Ibom beats all of them combined.

Are those the kind of people anyone should take seriously? Even one from Kogi, the most backward state in Nigeria, thought he had an opinion on Akwa Ibom which is centuries ahead of Kogi.

It's just annoying when people make it seem like they have a bird's eye view of what is happening in every part of Nigeria and start making points based on that.

There are Yorubas who own filling stations, bakeries, eateries in the north. The cost of living in that part of the country is cheaper and nobody taxes them to death or rent properties to them at exorbitant prices cos they are non indigenes. People will always travel and live in areas where they feel they are more welcome. Igbos are in Lagos cos they feel they are much welcome here.

Cubana has two clubs/lounge in Lagos; one on the island and the other in Ikeja. He pays tax to Lagos state government like every other persons nd nobody goes to disturb his business. That's why I say make all these people wey dey parrot these tribal narratives hustle and make money like their brothers and enjoy life instead of having a defeatist mentality that anybody is after them.

I really hope our leaders can find a solution to it.
If I am to pick 3 cities to go and represent nigeria in City Exhibition in Africa or the world, I will never pick Lagos.
I will pick Uyo, Calabar and Abuja to go and represent us there abeg.

Let me catch any of you being tribalistic here again. I have refused doing this for years. You are an economic liability to Nigeria. You take and keep taking but add nothing to the federal purse.

Nothing!
