How on earth were INEC planning to get away with this shït?

This isn't even a case of hiding the electoral results behind the opacity of internal procedures. You guys published the raw data yourselves but called a different total score.

What was the plan? Omo I'm seriously confused

That was why I had problem with INEC chairman hastily announcing the winner of the presidential election without listening to complaints of different parties contesting the results based on the form EC8 results they have at their disposal .

I chose not to engage APC supporters here and outside this thread who kept on saying parties should have raised issues at the local and state level collation . It’s always sweet when such recklessness like INEC displayed favors u…. U won’t care whether anybody’s waling is genuine or not .

Just imagine INEC uploading results on their own portal that is in contrast with what they announced ? How will anybody ever trust INEC again to conduct any kind of credible election ?

As far as I’m concerned , they can as well announce the winners of the governorship election at 6am on Saturday before voting starts sef . We don leave am for dem to choose our leaders for us .

I no they take him serious since I corrected him twice on his fake circulars
I just conclude he's idle looking for avenue for people to drag him

Just a look at the dashboard picture of the person who broke the news can easily point it out to anybody who knows Lagos well that the bridge the person is driving on is Carter bridge and not Eko bridge . That’s descending the bridge at Idumota .

I just hope they verify some of these things going forward in order not to mislead a whole lot of people .

Uncle in those arrays of galaxies and stars you will not find life, not even an amoeba. The creator has chosen life only here on earth.

I keep marveling at that possibility at how life is so abundant here on earth, I mean any where you put a microscope you will see life. And yet, accross the rest of the vast universe in those pics you posted, and yet nothing. Absolutely nothing found. Not even an amoeba. I can only bow my head in wonder and awe.
You've explored all of them. This Nairaland na funny place.

You, a layman and religious zealot, know more than the experts conducting the search tirelessly then and spending billions of dollars on constructing telescopes and observatories to hunt for alien life.

Just stop mentioning me. I've better things to do with my time.

With due respect, your question is a stupid one (no insults please).

Why didn't Seu.n put an unlike button on his website? You will have to ask him for a vivid explanation and not me.

I have already told you that it's the decision of the creator. All I can say about that decision is that it is the source of your wonder. That wonder makes God God. If life was so common, people like you will say it is nature, or chemistry or biology. I will say the same too. But because it is not, we bow our heads in awe.

It's the same reason diamonds are carbon compounds with exactly the same chemistry with charcoal. Yet there is no comparison with their value. This is the reason I believe in a creator.
* Your explanation is not plausible. It's make believe and Cop-out to defend your so called Creator/designer.

* Your post actually points to a real problem. The concept of your Creator is so mutable that it can provide any ex-post facto reasoning for any scenario, because God is not well defined. He can remain ill defined because he doesn't actually exist - we never have to ascribe anything real to your Creator because he is never observable.

How did the op conclude everyone commenting on the Twitter thread are OBIdients ? For all we know , it was Dino a PDP spokesperson that challenged the result of the Ekiti presidential result .

I’m interested in how the Op of the nairaland thread drew his inference

Last night, I was having this conversation with a PDP member who is the youth leader of the area I live and raised some of these issues

In his own words, "whatever you have to do to make INEC announce you the winner just do. We will deal with court cases later"

I guess that's what they tell themselves during their meetings.

It's been confirmed on the inec portal that he won bayelsa hands down. APC didn't meet the 25% requirement in bayelsa.

It's looking very likely obi won 17 states but was rigged in 5; rivers, bayelsa, akwaibom, benue and taraba.

Waaaaaaitttt.

I don't get.

As in, INEC is actually uploading the real results, as they were recorded at the PUs?? 😲

Ogbeni get lost.
Stop trying to rope this man into your beefs.

I have interacted very civilly with Prospa since we last had any argument, as seen post-election
liveLongNprospa:

This is proper underestimation.
I am telling you that we won Lagos with way more votes.
Way more votes.
I don't know why you think I'm overstating my party's influence for something that happened.

APC lost Alimosho, kosefe, oshodi (some parts), even the Lagos mainland is being contested.

Nihilistjnr call your people in Lagos and ask.
GRV did a bastard campaign in Lagos state.

If I asked him a question regarding fact checking his post,

1. How is that provocative?
2. What is your business Donatus?

I absolutely refuse to fight this man on your behalf, bïtch. Stand on your own two feet and back your beefs on your ones.

Coward.

Absolutely. They kukuma have their way around courts.

I strongly believe that the evidence now is just too overwhelming to ignore.
I just don't see how this result stands. Like, It's right there. THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES.
The only reason people are skeptical of a court rescinding this stolen mandate is because this is Nigeria, where it has never happened before for a president to step down. But if it happens, I don't think anyone would protest, because even the most ardent batist can see and agree that the declaration was very much premature.
Hence we don't even see any celebration in any part of the country.
Sometimes I imagine if obi was declared president, how we would see churches overflowing with celebrations, beers and chants overflowing in football viewing centers.

Cows colored in labor party apparels donning the streets. People out on the streets draped in Nigerian flags.
That would have been the pictures that would saturate the internet.
But an expatriate coming into Nigeria right now wouldn't know someone just won the presidency.
No news of celebration anywhere. The "victory" is mired in completely solemnity and controversy.
And I think that portends what the future looks like under tinubu.

Okay sir but just remember that someone who did not contest primary elections that was duly monitored by INEC was declared winner because the actual winner ought to have used writ of summons and not originating summons.

Even under the bridge, alot of work dey there. They closed the bridge for comprehensive repairs because the bridge failed some structural integrity test after the fire incident.
