Please who knows what this means?
I have been waiting

Thank you for your application for graduate study in economics at Kansas State University. The admissions committee has made its initial set of decisions. Some applicants have been offered admission, while others have been rejected. If you have not received a notification of admission or rejection, the admissions committee considers your application to be among the strongest in the pool, and it is possible that you will eventually receive an offer of admission.

Note that US graduate programs are required to have a deadline on funding offers no earlier than April 15. For that reason, it is unlikely that we will be making new offers prior to April 8. The only exceptions would be a change in the status of our budget or an early rejection of an offer we have made.

Please feel free to contact me if you have an offer requiring you to make a decision. It is possible that we are in the process of making you an offer, but since that can take up to a week, you may not yet have been notified. Otherwise, we will contact you when a decision is made on your application, so there is no need to check in "just in case".

Thank you for your patience. I fully understand that it can be hard to wait for a response on something so important. We are grateful for your continued interest in our graduate program.

It means you're on their waitlist. When anyone who they have made offer to, rejects their offer, you will be considered.

Hello good morning everyone

My passport will be expiring soon, ( less than 8 months ) I have already made the attempt to get a new one.
What I am concerned about is that WILL MY SEVIS- RECEIPT be affected with the passport change?

And what will this this passports change affect in my visa process? ( what do I need to change now that I have gotten a new passport)

PhD. I applied to three schools actually. All of them are saying that they will start rolling out decisions very soon. These guys know how to reply diplomatically.

I am beginning to think that positive decisions have been sent out already.
All decisions are sent out at the same time

Save yourself the stress. If you get a visa, most states will require you to have a valid passport and visa to be issued a driver’s license. Unless you live in NYC/ATL where Naija consulate is located, cost of travel, accommodation and logistics to have your passport renewed in the US could be $500-$1k.. can you really afford it as a low budget student?.. I’d pay N50k to get in Naija that will last 5 yrs than paying $500-$1k for the same passport in the US.

Your GRE score is very high, why not shoot for ivy league business schools, you stand a very good chance with your GRE score.

Might not be awesome enough, but there's no hurt in trying the ivy leagues as some other person has suggested...A couple don't require the official transcripts for application. I know Stanford (not one of the ivy's, but up there) doesn't for sure.

No it wasn't through emergency, the lagos consulate sent email to check out for dates.

Did the embassy move your interview date beyond date of resumption?

If the embassy does the rescheduling. You still have your chances.

The embassy did my resheduling, the date for interview is after i ought to resume for class. How do i go about this? given that Interview date has been an issue since 2021, I have had to defer my admission due to no interview date. I have written the embassy in the past and the response is that there is no date. Finally, I got a date a month to resumption but embassy moved this week to a month after, how do i got about this? I want to call the embassy even though it was clearly stated that call agents can't help. is there anyone affected by the rescheduling?

I believe all Lagos appointments were rescheduled.
If you still have the option to reschedule your appointment, keep searching for a closer date.
