The Paranoia Of Many Yorubas Over Lagos. by Workch: 9:52am On Mar 07, 2023 |
Please note that this post is not generalizing because we have sane Yorubas who don't reason this way. The problems with many Yorubas is that they have this unfounded suspicion and psychologically paranoia that igbos will someday Takeover Lagos from them. The cause of this psychological issue is not far fetched: 1. Mainly because Igbos in Lagos aren't doing badly business and monetary wise. 2. Many Yorubas expect igbos to be subservient to them and always be within their whims and caprices. But igbos really don't care, we cannot sever you. We can only do our business, mind it, pay federal and state taxes, that's the only thing we owe Lagos state. 3. Again, we cannot worship Yorubas, Yorubas should not expect us to because you are not doing us any Favour. Igbos like every other tribes in Nigeria are playinf significant economic role in the development of Lagos and Lagos state is receiving huge revenue in tax with respect to that. Let's just give each other mura respect for peace to reign. 4. We are not taking Lagos, we are only doing business there. It's your land. Stop the inferiority complex. We can decide to vote for whoever we like, don't see it as a threat to your lives. We are not your servants. 5. We are minding our business, we are here to do business and make a living for ourselves and in turn pay tax to Lagos state government. We are not here to worship the Yorubas. We will never do that. The earlier you accept that igbos are never going to worship you, the better. The relationship between Lagos state and igbos is not parasitic but mutaulistic. We are contributing our quota to the development of Lagos state and we don't intend taking it away from you. Yorubas should stop beating the drum of war for myopic political reasons. Since you have been gaining politically, is the life of an average Yoruba man better than an Igbo man financially? No, it's because we igbos know how to go about getting money irrespective of the poltical challenge against us. We are tick people, we don't runaway from challenges, we face it head-on and we cannot runway from tribal bigoted Yorubas. Do let's come together and vote right instead of voting tribalistically. Thanks for reading. 34 Likes 6 Shares |

My friend let me tell you the reality and it's a bitter reality. Igbos will eventually take over Lagos in the next 10 years Maximum. I mean this guys have the number to do it. There are over 5million igbos scattered all over Lagos. Now tell me what will happen if 5million Igbos head to the poll and vote who will become the governor of Lagos. From 2027, anybody who wants to win governorship position in Lagos must make an Igbo man the deputy governor. 13 Likes 3 Shares |

FreedomArmy:So what's wrong with that? Is this not one Nigeria? Is Lagos not a cosmopolitan city? Are Yorubas not taking poltical positions in western countries? Whadafuck is wrong with you guys? I use to think that Yorubas are enlightened people but many of you reason like garbage 25 Likes 4 Shares |

FreedomArmy: After this elections, expect some moves to stop that crap. It's obvious that for the past decade that the opposition has been trying to use non-Yorubas in Lagos to unseat power. There has been some instances to stop selling houses and renting houses to Igbos. Those instances will be louder now. Igbos should go and develop their region where they can seat at home every Mondays. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Lagos is not ‘no man’s land’ Anyone that says otherwise is singing war battles and should be ready to collect. Transferring of PVC’s to Lagos to overrun yorubas and takeover our government and parliament as igbos did in the 2023 elections shows clearly the agenda to takeover Lagos. These are not normal actions. And any minority that supports it, I pray they do it in your states too. Say amen. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Workch:Sad reality for yorubas is this ... If Yoruba keep on voting rogues who makes life miserable than better it in 7years time igbos will take over Lagos , u don't vote bad government to get at other tribes , Economy of a particular place is the strength of a particular place and Igbos who hates Politics compared to others own 50% economies of Lagos n nigeria Always know it that when government you voted to spite others give u back bad policies hunger happens in the land and you shall sell ancestral houses and father's things to Igbo business men to survive Tribalism is delusions but hunger emanating from bad policies of a bad governance is reality ( sad reality ) 20 Likes 3 Shares |

renderme: The igbos do not want to steal the government of Lagos from Yorubas. That is not the case. The igbos want to take what rightly belongs to them. They deserve either the Governorship or deputy Governorship seat in every government in Lagos. An igboman was the first Parliamentarian of Lagos. He laid the legal framework for the development of Lagos by the FG. Lagos State is not a yorubaland. It is a cosmopolitan city that belongs to all Nigerians. 7 Likes 1 Share |

They're behavior is indicative of innate laziness. As stupid as they cling unto Lagos. Daily they don't want Igbo in Lagos but their people are in Abuja, Port Harcourt and even in the North. Yet they're the most vocal against Igbo exit from Nigeria. A very parasitic abi witchcraft spirit. You hate Igbo, yet you want Igbo to remain in the same country with you. Yet they must not live in Lagos. With apologies to the sensible Yoruba, Yoruba is a very wicked tribe. Probably the most wicked aside Fulani that are killing people everywhere. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Lagos is and will forever be a Yoruba land. But Yorubas can never tell Igbos who to vote for. It's democracy. Truth be told, in the next 12 years, nobody can rule Lagos without Igbo deputy Governor. The influx of Igbos into Lagos is alarming. The dividend of one Nigeria 3 Likes 1 Share |
