Igbos in Lagos are not the only foreigners in Yoruba land but seem to be the only ones that want to overrun the city of the hospitable Omoluwabi people.

Lagos is a Yoruba land for all of recorded history before it became a major hub for trade and commerce during the colonial period.
Today, Lagos is a diverse city with a blend of various ethnic groups, cultures, and languages. The Yoruba language and culture still have a significant influence on the city's identity and way of life.

If not for colonialism,
Yoruba land originally stretches from parts of Delta State to Togo, Benin, and parts of Ghana where you have the Ewe people.

Trying to overrun another people's land will make people angry and can lead to social unrest.

This war drum may consume you more than you expected. The worst that'll happen to you is to raise a weapon against NDI Igbo anywhere in Nigeria.

I hope history is not about to repeat itself.

Yoruba have still not learned from how Ajase(Porto Novo) went from being a Yorubaland to now become a city of two tribes, Yoruba and Fon.

What can not happen in the East is what you people are trying in Yoruba land, Hausa are far more than Igbo people in Lagos but you never see them meddle in politics of Lagos state let alone lay claim to what is not their own. This is how you people start Biafra war, we will rather go into that war rather being coward for Igbo to claim our land in the name of you buy one property or other. Respect is reciprocal.

It cannot happen in the east yen yen yen...you wan govern east from lagos??

First of all move down to the east, establish a worthy business, marry and socialize, then we can start discussing that. You can't run away from ogbomoso only to come lagos and dictate to people who were born, bred and living in lagos for decades.

Only because you can speak yoruba?? Go back to your ekiti village

No body is a foreigner in his own country, you can't use the word foreigner to describe a citizen of Nigeria in Nigeria. The Igbo may not be indigenes of Lagos but they are citizens of Nigeria of which Lagos is part of.
The constitution grants every Nigerian the right to own both movable and immovable property anywhere in Nigeria and that gives him the right to political decisions.

The Igbo isn't dragging Lagos or any state of the South West with you, it's their right to decide who they align with. If you aren't comfortable with that, mobilize more people to defeat them fairly. These intimidation and gaslighting won't work.

Mind you too, those of you quick to remind the Igbo of 1967/1970 should know that things have changed. The Igbo weren't afraid of you then and now still won't be afraid of you.

You sold your lands to Igbos and turn around to cry foul like a headless chicken.
Igbos have bought 70% of lands in Lagos. The remaing 30% will be bought within 10 years.

So keep crying

Lagos this Lagos that, why can't Yorubas let us hear word?
Why is other Yoruba States not developed like Lagos if truely Yoruba people developed Lagos.

You won't hear Gwari people threatening other ethnic groups in Abuja because Abuja is their land

All Yoruba states are developed as compared to other states in Nigeria

Igbos are the second majority in almost all of them

Oyo State especially Ibadan
Ondo with Igbo first Lady
Ogun
Ekiti
Osun of Governor Adeleke with Igbo ancestry

It's not a big deal though, but they should respect their host.

Self-explanatory

Nigerians did not respect themselves in Dubai and UAE stopped offering visa-free and deported many

Basically stop selling fake drugs, clothes, and several items
Don't engage in illegal activities
And don't tell a people that their land is a no man's land and start meddling in their politics to take over power in their land.

So "foreigner" should never come up in the narrative.

Lagos is cosmopolitan and the residents becoming more diversified, it will certainly reflect in their electoral choices because they have their stakes in it
