Why can't Nigeria politicians be sincere for once?

They should come out and be honest with the people. The country is broke, the citizens are not productive enough, revenue is down, the country can't cater for its increasing population. Why can't they just be honest and tell the people straight up the real fiscal situation of the country?

What I see is desperate politicians promising heaven on earth to the people, exaggerating the country's wealth and promising to turn their respective states to Japan of Africa.

There is no governor in Nigeria I can score above 2/10. None!
So the citizen should work themselves to death, so our stupid Polithiefcians can continue using the revenue generated to buy themselves Rolls Royce and other super luxury vehicles worth 100 of millions of Naira. Revenue is down yet Yeye Bello of Kogi recently bought a fully bulletproof SUV worth $400k estimated, our Governors are flying private jets instead of commercial airline but revenue is down. The country is not broke, Polithiefcians are just too wicked to put the available resource to proper use...

If I am in a taxi I can come down. But you can't abandon your vehicle on the road.

Also thanks to the cash crunch, even the places I used to hop on okada to get to sharp sharp are put of it

No one should be mentioning a country, whose lawmakers are some of the highest paid in the world, and broke in the same sentence.

A country that donated $1 million to Turkey recently is broke? Lols

Politicians will tell Nigerians abroad to return home and contribute to Nation building, a brilliant young Nigeria based abroad answered that call and presented himself to run for Governor. Now we hear he cannot speak Yoruba, he is not experienced enough, he has Igbo agenda and other nonsense takes. This is Nigeria where the current crop of Polithiefcians want to remain in power or around the corridor, cos they cannot survive without the Government money they loot...

You guys are always so emotional. Politics is not about emotions, not false hope by a mob without a plan. Not anger without strategy but strategy..Always quick to cancel who doesn’t support your candidate.

Go to his IG page and see how they are roasting him for referring to Tinubu as President Elect..

Boycott UBA… These youths taking it to the extreme grin

Probably nothing much in their UBA accounts anyway… why they can empty and port to another bank

Elumelu money will still continue to flow cool

If more “big men” support Tinubu…. I better watch why so I can be a “big man” instead of hating

You're funny. You want people to trek for 20-30minutes in hot weather. UK and Nigeria don't have similar weather patterns, that's why you feel comfortable doing it there.

Most times you know the chance of that journey being 1 to 2 hours are high, but you enter car anyway, knowing it's a 30 min walk

When I lived and worked in London, my journey by train to work in central London was 50 mins, then I figured I can cycle there in the same time, and from that day I stopped taking train. If cycling was feasible in Naija, a lot of traffic could be avoided

You've exemplified what I'm talking about. Hot weather na him waka dey sweet pass. Those herdsmen that trek from North to South, are they aliens? Go to hot countries and you will see people walking even more than cold countries, except Naija

I don't see the problem if that's how strongly they feel about it, perhaps their service delivery also factored in the equation.

What APC has done the last 8 years is enough to cancel anybody they want to cancel. Everyone will be fine.

People have and are really going through pains. Stop downplaying their way of protest and instead ask yourself why the masses are so angry.

So what do we do now, I mean those of us that are not "Nigerian" enough?

A perilous situation.

Emotional intelligence is more than essential.
