Solar is much better than any other option available. It's cheaper in the long run.

Nobody can deny the visionscape/PSP issue was Ambode's albatross. But It's funny when people make it seem like Ambode didn't do anything at all. U in particular said he didn't do anything out of the ordinary and that was why I laughed cos that was not true.

PERSONS AND BUSINESSES THAT REJECT OLD NAIRA NOTES WILL BE APPREHENDED AND PROSECUTED

1. We congratulate Nigerians on the historic ruling of the Supreme Court, the highest court in Nigeria, to the effect that both the old and new naira notes remain legal tenders until December 31 , 2023 when the old notes will cease to be legal tender. What this means is that both the old and new naira notes can be accepted for the purpose of transacting business till the end of this year.

2. The reason the Kogi State Government joined other State Governments in the country to pursue the case was to ease the hardship occasioned by the unavailability of the new naira notes, which the court fully granted.

3. It is therefore unacceptable that some persons and businesses will continue to reject the use of the old naira notes, even after the court judgement validating their use. Rejecting the old naira notes is a clear disobedience of the Supreme Court ruling.

4. Anyone who rejects the old naira notes should be reported to security and government authorities for immediate action. Also, banks that refuse to accept old naira deposits shall be sealed as the State Government will not accommodate financial institutions that willfully disobey court orders, moreso, the orders of the highest court in Nigeria.

5. Kogites should note that since the banks are issuing the old naira notes, they are bound to also receive it. We cannot continue to kill our economy after the Supreme Court has granted us freedom. The State Government has therefore set up a high-powered Committee to ensure full adherence and compliance to the ruling of the Supreme Court.

6. Members of the Committee are the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning; Commissioner for Information and Communications; Commissioner for Commerce and Industry; the State Security Adviser and the Managing Director, Kogi Enterprise Development Agency. The Committee is to ensure that our people take full benefits of the Supreme Court ruling on the old naira notes and ease the hardship they have been subjected to by the policy that brought so much hardship to the people.

Maybe it's me (and someone can point me to the direction of where this has happened), but I find funny, weird and unthinkable that Tinubu has not come out to denounce these antics of APC supporters and sympathisers.


Is this what people are to expect from his presidency in the long run?

Like, we should go and prepare our minds down for years of ethnic dog-whistles and a reality of one ethnicity superiority, difference? That we will be reminded of daily?

Because after the gubernatorial elections, will these feelings and sentiments they've stirred in people decrease or stop?

Will they put an end to it? They are not yet in government for a new term yet they are going to these lengths. How much more further will they go? How lower will they descend to?


And not for once (again, show me where if it's happened) has Tinubu come out to caution these people or told them to stay on issue-based campaign and focus. Like, he literally doesn't bother. Irrespective of who started anything or who deserves any rhetoric, should he, as an aspiring leader, or someone who is everything positive y'all his supporters have called him, come out to unequivocally condemn the lows these campaigns is descended to?

Why are none of y'all demanding this of him? This is how he will continue to keep quiet while a group of people gets demeaned, degraded, and face all kinds of loss?


Yet it's one man and some set of supporters (who are mostly reacting to provocations) that y'all will be coming out to demonise and to paint with unpalatable words.

This will not change anything until banks start accepting old notes without conditions . It was reported yesterday that some banks issue out the old notes but don’t accppt it without u going through the CBN portal and filling the online form .

I think the only thing that will put an end to all this is Buhari himself addressing the issue . That is the only time people will start accepting the old notes on the streets . As for the banks, without any communique from CBN, they won’t do anything different from what they are doing. If governors want to clamp down on banks , the banks will just be on lockdown till the whole imbroglio will be sorted out . Force won’t work .

Anyone living in Port Harcourt knows how this project is going? The billions of dollars spent will not generate 1Naira because of politicking

In 30yrs time, the people living in PH then will ask why dnt they have a monorail like Lagos despite having oil for almost 100yrs maybe they will remember that one Wike, sacrificed the project for politics like Buhari did for Lagos metro of Jakande, like GRV will likely do
