It’s not always about suing but about proving the case in court . If it can be proven there have been complaints about the driver’s recklessness in the past and nothing was done, then the employer is surely liable .

However if there’s never been any official complaint about the driver to the employers by co-employees who are victim; the employer will alwasy stick to the defence of “frolic” . That’s the point .

I don’t think you are right. The complaints only strengthen the case, lack of complaints does not negate it.
If you are carrying out duties in an official capacity your employers will usually share culpability in any mistakes you make. This happens with policemen, doctors in big hospitals, pilots etc.

Of course we are talking about in a civilised society. Not necessarily the Nigerian jungle.

I do not argue the importance or purpose of ABC.. I am asking for the amount they get paid for their services and how that amount stands when compared to what other companies that offer the same services get paid.

How much is ABC paid for their services in Lagos especially when compared to what they were paid by other states.

I mean I pay tax in lagos and don't you think I'm entitled to that information? 😊

GloriousGbola please oo you've abandoned our conversation.

Further more this explains my question even more

https://twitter.com/MoshoodQ_/status/1634651298912927748?t=7ZIxIzKSfPIXNPomNI_cEA&s=19

So what work is ABC doing to warrant that alleged pay?

The only reason Sanwo-Olu is suddenly working this hard is because he knows the election is not sure.

Oasis your confidence might be misplaced in this one.

The one I witnessed yesterday at a filling station weak me.

An Okada man bought fuel 500 naira with the old 1k note, the attendant gave him the old 500 naira note and he rejected it. Las las he bought 1k fuel instead because the attendant refused to give him the new note as change.

Me that did transfer, I waited for over 30mins, money no reflect for their Fidelity bank. I went back home and came back 5hrs later and the money still never show. I had to do another one to one of their employee Palmpay before I could bought fuel. I have to go back there today if the money has reflected so I can collect my cash.

Buhari and Emefiele just dey suffer people unnecessarily.
Them dan know me well for my side
If I do transfer we will hope on insha'Allah before e enter

But is Obi not the Nigerian Trump? He is also propagandist, his lies are his facts, and he has a strong following. He has one way or the other manipulated their minds, working on their emotions, and they either believe his lies or ignore it, yet they see him as the messiah, overlooking his incompetency. You need to give that man a cause, and you will see another NK.

Don't forget the part about losing election and claiming it was rigged

Baba , people dey make mistake for their job and the employers get sued for negligence of the staff in the course of their duty .

But the employer has defences open to them which they can plead in court. One of such is frolic . If the employer can prove the driver was on a frolic by disregarding every necessary safety instructions/precautions tay provide for all employees , the employer will not be held liable .

Na the driver really buy market if the employers really want to put up strong defence in court . Anyways I doubt any of such will happen sha . LASG will most likely sort the victims and their families out . At least to give the government a compassionate human face .

The 900k votes has him shook

But the reality is that all these moves the man is making are obodo oyibo politicking moves.

When pdp strong armed ekiti state, fayemi was doing soup kitchen.

All these things look great for western press and endear you to them, but they don't ultimately count

I think this may be also so all these oyibo pundits will not start swallowing stolen election narratives

It is good though. There has been too much arrogance and complacency in the ranks.

I know of Lagos civil servants who relaxed at home during the last election. All thinking its in the bag. Sleeping off on watch.

Some of Sanwo-Olu moves are just somehow. He will be ridiculing himself all over the place

That was how he went to Magodo landlord issue instead of staying in his office and making calls. That's why the policeman insulted him

He went to join endsars rally yet he was insulted and the endsars crowd still blamed him for the killings yet the endsars crowd won't vote for him

He is now running around locking ice cream, doing church usher and other simp moves to appease the same demographics of people who will never vote him even if he removes his eyes for them

I have looked through it and it comes back to what is said before.

There are far more agencies in lagos and far more taxed business entities

If you were to do a tax run on a major business district in akwa ibom, you would be done in a day. Now do same on adeola Odeku.

You are assuming it is a similar volume of work, manhours and complexity

Peter Obi has changed the dynamics of politics in Nigeria. Now people campaign based on competence and character and no longer structure.

Now power resides with the people.

Yes. The work required in a lagos state is much more. And every day lagos is adding new agencies. I am sure you know for instance - there is now a parking agency that bills businesses for use of the right of Way as car parking.

As an analogy I have a fuel station I am designing for Abuja. Any new station in lagos requires fire hydrant line. Any facility in lagos must have water treatment. It must have safety plan. Commercial facility must have public toilet with facility for disabled. So my design rate for lagos will be more than my design rate for abuja. My cost of construction is higher in lagos than Abuja.

The assumption that there is a flat rate across states in erroneous in itself. Lagos that has the highest cost of living in Nigeria, highest rents and transport costs, but you somehow exepect that it will have lower service charges and wage rates?
