If she is not feeding them as well, that salary is too poor.

Yes condition can make those maids and servants to accept the offer..but mehn, you have to be devoid of empathy to be paying someone an amount from which he/she can't even feed daily.

That 15-20k is like the basic salary of most private school teachers with B.Sc na..

I think this labour exploitation is what the NLC should really look into..A lot of Nigerians are being taken advantage of honestly..

Interesting discussion on Twitter concerning a female user who said she pays people to cook, mop, sweep and go to the market for her. In a country were the minimum wage is 35000, is paying your House help and domestic staff 15 to 25k monthly cruel exploitation of labor ?

https://twitter.com/uxcynn/status/1634838638692532225?t=qBdOwykFrCNMVaNsoxjGVg&s=19

Not different from what Lebanese,Indians and Chinese in nigeria do to Nigerians casual workers ,cruel exploitation of labor.

There are people who are actually paid 15k in these times.

Its up to the government to create an environment that provides social benefits to its population to prevent them from taking 20k a month work.

I am not the government, and I want to pay the least possible amount for the most possible goods or services at any time. That's not lacking empathy. That's simply managing my resources

It's not my job to boil the ocean trying to solve all Nigeria's problems. If the househelp had additional skills that warranted additional pay, then they would get it.

However unskilled labour is extremely plentiful in Nigeria, and the demand fat outstrips supply. Again, another issue to be pinned on successive Nigerian governments that have failed woefully to empower its citizens through quality education.

So, I disagree with you fundamentally in the area of 'ethical' compensation for labour. I didn't invent the jungle. Both the househelp and myself met it here.

Miracle ko..miracle ni.

I remember afrodoc criticising the punishment meted out on glorious. It was the reason why I criticised muk.ina2's way of handling the NL power. She banned me for 3days for the critique..and called it derailment. Lol.

She can ban me again if she cares.. that power is insignificant to me

What I suspect is some one here reached out to plead on behalf of glorious. There are old heads here who are friends with her..
She ain't the one it was seun
She banned me too because I criticized her and she said I was derailing
Small power these people get they are miss using it
