Neither matters. The truth is the company probably wanted to align with the values of the people who lent them money to get more of their money so focused more on diversity. It was probably just a cost of doing business in the very specific San Fran VC culture. So, they hired a head of diversity who was so close to real power she was in another country (being sarcastic). A write off like the cost of company vacations or Taco Tuesdays. Put a token DEI coordinator in place, base them in another country and get the feels that you are doing something. All the while your executive team looks like the one below.

This is a red herring the right does so well to distract and obfuscate from some of these root causes; Deregulation and the FED leaving interest rates low for so long. And who championed both.. yup Trump and Republicans. The 2008 bank collapse was worse.. how many of those companies were "woke"? This is why America is fundamentally going to struggle. Half the country is too stupid to know better and their leaders play on their stupidity. Look at this thread. Stupid abounds.

You people make sense at times but yourend goal is blame Trump.Obama operates with 0% interest rates for 7.5 years.
Trump was faced with threats of increased rates all the time...think they went up to 2.5%
Joe Biden. Is to blame for SVB , besides their woke culture 44% of their funding to VC vultures with green energy priorities. His spending and increasing money supply ( inflation) . The woke SVB invested in low interest long term bonds hit hard by inflation that JB has wrought up on. JB has increased inflation from 1.4 to 8.5 Yet journos clap for him as an achievement when he brags that the inflation is down to 7.5%
As for DEI the E is for Equity. You might want to find out what that means, putting a thumb on the scale when say hiring based on other considerations. Not getting the best.

Be honest to yourself. Show me a single article WAPO has published that was positive to Trump or rather the right.
I hope this induces you to think inwards and discover you swallow a pile of leftist garbage.

Tucker Carlson's producer is spot on on dealing with some of the Far right, like some in this thread.

"Like negotiating with terrorists," he added, but especially dumb ones. Cousin f----- types not saudi royalty."

This is what these dimwits don't get. They think woke people are fooled by the addition of one woke person, yet same dimwits will notice when company gets a low ESG score.

Over in the religious section, I call their sort ignorant stupid naked enslaved Adams who ought be grateful of Eve. But of course most aren't.

You and your own? Are you Justin Trudeau? When did you go Bollywood?

You and your own? She was organising LGBT campaigns when the bank was on the precipice of failure. She, like all the other officials, probably dumped her stocks and cashed out with her 6—7-figure bonus while you and your own (the everyday working people) are left to deal with the fallout. I wonder just how fxcked Coinbase users are right now.

Corporate executives do not represent you.

I thought you would do one of two things. Either disappear or double down and try to disorient us with BullSh*t. Seems you chose the latter path.

Here is a pic of the executive team. Maybe you can tell me where she is here since she had that much power that she alone is responsible for crashing the company because of her LGBTQ activities.

Just be honest, admit you were fooled and move on.

Interesting theory (enslaved Adams). I'll have to check out the post in the religious section.

The lack of moderation in this thread has left it looking like a 4chan channel.
We now have Nigerian posters arguing that the push for diversity in companies is a bad thing because it means they are hiring underqualified people. Which is a roundabout way of arguing that minorities aren't as smart or capable as white men.

I have a good friend (keeping them nebulous) who is a Big Boi at one of the top Global Banks. They've used their position to argue for Diversity Hiring. Now how does that affect Nigerians? One of their pushes was to even diversify their Global hiring and to get more hires from West African countries. One of those countries was Nigeria. So they have been in Nigeria recruiting talent to invest in and join their company/team. Now, this person was telling me about the intense selection process and was raving about some of these candidates, how impressive they were even compared to some on their current team. So, by this argument some on this board are making, these Nigerians/West African hires wouldn't be qualified/capable or even be the best, because they were Diversity Hirings.

It's a stupid argument born of Racists and now projected by Nigerians who hate themselves.

Bro wants people to be banned for disliking identity politics 💀

Oh, you couldn't pick out the WOKE LGBTQ minority responsible for crashing the bank in the picture of all the mostly white SVB execs right? Right. Because your narrative is Bullshit.

In the real less delusional world, we are all laughing at how easily it is to turn Nigerians like you into "useful idiots" that parrot right wing racist memes. Or as Tucker Carlson's producer put it.. "Terrorists, but especially dumb ones. Cousin f----- types".

Really, do you ever get tired of being made an idiot?

Emphasize, please. Inform too. Educate even. But don't expect them not to easily slither away, as they are hard coded not to as they constantly don't accept their illogical reasoning could possibly be wrong even when caught out.

Pretty sums up the wokeness of SVB.Especially with their UK based brown lesbian.

I also think that woke company had 2/3 of it's investments in long term bonds yielding 1 5%.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Payments of $5 million to every eligible Black adult, the elimination of personal debt and tax burdens, guaranteed annual incomes of at least $97,000 for 250 years and homes in San Francisco for just $1 a family.

These are just some of the recommendations made by a city-appointed reparations committee tasked with a thorny question: What would it take to atone for the centuries of U.S. slavery and generations of systemic racism that continue to keep Black Americans on the bottom rungs of health, education and economic prosperity, and overrepresented in prisons and homeless populations?

A first hearing underway before the city’s Board of Supervisors on Tuesday could offer a glimpse of the board’s appetite for advancing a reparations plan that would be unmatched nationwide in specificity and breadth. Critics have slammed it as financially and politically impossible. One conservative analyst estimated that each non-Black family in the city would have to pay at least $600,000.

A full-time minimum wage worker can afford a one-bedroom rental in only 7% of all US counties i.e. 218 counties out of more than 3,000 counties.

Meanwhile, a person in California needs to make at least $39.03/hr in order to afford a 2-bedroom apartment; and $31.06/hr for a one-bedroom apartment. This mean that a minimum wage worker in the state would have to work 89 hours/week😳😳 just to afford a one-bedroom apartment.

Your income should play a big role in where you choose to live

If you can't afford California move to some other place
