What was condemned is Obi's system of politics. He made politics looks as if MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIANS are critically at war. Just also as if the YORUBAS and IGBO people are at war. He escalated the mistrust the power brokers had for Igbo people. It's sad this happened in 20th century. The younger ones never knew what their elders had passed through because of this type of situation in the past.
