I’m sure it never occurred to you it was the Pete Obi account that was speaking… now I asked if that was Pete Obi and you’re speaking from the side of your mouth.

Yes oh! grin for atleast the coming four years. She's definitely recontesting 2027.

Which female Southern politician is politically strong enough to mount a reasonable challenge for Governorship in the South sev?

We get some top female politicians as Senators in Anambra but they have all been retired. cry

I don't think there's any.

With the precedence we have in the South, it won't be long before someone reminds her that her Husband's mother's father's cousin is not from the state, so should not be voted for

Yes if the Igbos foolishly allow the Yorubas to milk it by showing their tribalistic plans too early.

In everything, ask for wisdom. I believe GRV and other sensible Igbos in Lagos would be smart in their approaches, going forward.

Guy,I dey tell you for free if no one decides to tell you,you are not just-wise.

Show offline evidence an Igbo called Lagos a no man's land, like we have it on record the oba of Lagos and Remi tinubu threatened Igbos. Not some trolls on Nairaland or twitter

An Igbo APC members like nostradamus on here can disguise and do that twitter space shared by that buharist and APC propagandist,we know BMC are very good with propaganda.

It appeared Wike continued where he stopped last time. I'm watching AriseTv now and party agents are making damning allegations against him and the PDP's candidate.

The SDP agent at the collation center alleged none of the results announced at the collation center matches what is on IREV portal. He even mentioned a particular local government (Emouha or so; I don't know if I got the spelling well) where there was serious shootings yesterday for hours between youths and security agents for bringing wrong sensitive materials . The result of the LGA has also been announced and they do not believe it's a true representation of things.

itsrm how do u assess things over there? Hope there won't be violence in Rivers after INEC eventually announce the winner ?

Baba, everyone with common sense knows no election result in Rivers state is a true representation of the will of the people. There is a reason Wike lost at the high court and court of appeal in 2015.

Like every other election, it will blow over.
If there was no violence with the presidential election, I seriously doubt there will be any with the governorship. So far so good, everywhere is calm.

Politicians will always put people to fight each other.

You think the whole Abia voted Otti? Odiegwu

So will vote PDP, because of kindred, clan, LGA, blah blah blah

Hopefully Otti wins.

You don dey hope? That was not what you told me yesterday.

Labour Party like I said does not have the machinery to influence election for their candidates. If Labour Party wins any governorship election, I will be very surprised.

Yeah. That's another problem.

As a female politician, which state will accept you to be their Governor - the state of your origin? Or the state of your husband's origin? All these can still be overlooked for Legislative seats like senate and HOR, but a position as significant as Governorship will sure raise eyebrows.

If a woman contest in her state of origin, she will be reminded that she now belongs to her husband, if she contests in her husband's state of origin, she will be told she doesn't belong there.

If somehow, all these are avoided by even marrying from your own state, then you are welcomed with the "Why should a woman become a governor when there is a man?" rhetorics. The wahala go too much.

It's pretty obvious why though.

Those tribal past post of GRV coulda been a factor. Plus the switching of names across different election cycle shows he's not as oblivious to the tribal agenda as he would like to claim. One would also expect the typical drama and propaganda of an election from oppositions using these variables

Not sure the past elections had these factors

Maybe; then again, maybe not.

What's certain, however, is that many people, even on this thread, are justifying the hatred and violence.

The good thing is, if there was ever a doubt about where they stand on such socioethnic issues, those doubts are gone with the wind.
The next time those slighted cozy up to their "egbons" here, they should rationalize whether whatever favours they hope to curry outweigh being thought of as less than human.

But people have short memories or the envisaged favours stemming from greed can erode their self worth.

question is, why always Lagos and Yoruba that need to be preached to? Don't you think south east need talking to?

Where is this outrage when nnamdi was commading followers with his hate speeches in south east and Igbos and declaring no work zone to the Fulanis? Or calling anyone going to Yoruba churches disgusting names. Or ipob bandits stealing people's onions.

I mean I would love to see your past posts condemning such.

Name any other tribe that has been more accommodating to the igbos in Nigeria more than the Yorubas.. Just 1 o.

Which tribe has giving more political posts to igbos in Nigeria than Yorubas and or this same tinubu that y'all are hating for no reason?

The same people that rejected the whole wife of ojukwu because she is not from Anambra or the wife of akeredolu because she married Yoruba are the ones preaching to us against embracing our primal instinct that you forced us too?

Like seriously, when will this disgusting hypocrisy end?
