KingTom: Not to defend him but he was referring to replicating massively what Donald Duke did in Cross River with tourism in Akwa Ibom. Plans have already even begun for Ibom Carnival from the rumours I've heard, like the Calabar Carnival. The Governor-elect is in the tourism sector. A hotelier with about 27 hotels spread across various states under the Royalty brand. I'm not his biggest fan but what he said was deliberately misconstrued by the opposition that's why you'd see clips. I'd have preferred two other candidates, the APC guy being one of them based on antecedence. |

Joezinho: I read many annoying attacks on anyone that supported Tinubu on social media and most of the attacks were from people of a specific region. I didn't take it seriously until subsequently I had to cross the t's and dotted the i's. This was me below tackling Larride and other APC people during the Lekki issue, so nobody should call me a Yoruba tribalist, for defending my tribe ridiculed by basstards. Don't serve what you can't take. I am still waiting for Donj to answer my question since. 6 Likes 1 Share

Theflint1: Dude, you lied nobody on this thread has ever claimed Lagos is a no man's land. I brought evidence of Donjazet reiterating so and taunting those who think otherwise to cry him a river. Even Izzou countered him there and then. Evidence Amoto and others have referenced over and over again. This was a few years ago. Not today. Feast on your L. You are a night soil man. 3 Likes |

For clarity sake ; Kayode Salako was the chairman of Labour Party in Lagos before he resigned while his Wife nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako is a card carrying member of APC in Lagos state . The husband was the flagbearer of LP in his constituency; Oshodi Isolo and also the Labour Party chairman in Lagos state . He resigned his position and when asked by pressmen what informed his decisions he informed them it was the need for him to concentrate on his election which necessitated his resignation . Now the wife being a card carrying member of APC comes out and makes an allegation that Gbadebo having won the Labour Party governorship primaries “removed” her husband from being the chairman and didn’t stop there but “took all Yoruba house of reps tickets in Lagos state and replaced them with Igbos “ Now the question that begs an answer is who is lying between the husband and the wife ? I really do not know if u ask me, but we need to be mindful of the following points : 1. It makes sense for a man who is the party chairman and also a candidate in the election to face either the chairmanship or the election he’s contesting in. 2. There is no evidence to suppost the wife’s claim that all Labour house of reps candidates who are igbos were replaced with Yorubas. Someone share a list of the candidates here and most of the names on it are Yorubas . Even Sunny Ade’s son (whose father is Yoruba from Ondo ) won the house of reps election in his constituency that is even dominated by Igbos . 3. The new chairman of Labour Party in Lagos Pastor Mrs Dayo Ekong is Yoruba herself replacing a Yoruba man in a Yoruba state . 4. Kayode Salako after he resigned his post as Lagos state chairman was elevated to the position of Special Adviser on Lagos Affairs and Liaison operations to the National Chairman of the party. He promised to continue to work for the good of the party . Make of the above whatever u can . 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Amigoss: Another response. I don't need to live in Lagos. I was born in and raised in Lagos, and visit when necessary. You aren't the custodian of Lagos. Is this the part where you lots visit my Facebook account to post details because I called you out for enabling those who trigger others by calling Lagos a no man's land? Don't go through the hassle - I'd post the information myself. 5 Likes |

DissTroy:Lol, where did I say nobody has ever said Lagos is no man's land on this thread? I bet hits on "Lagos is no man's land" from this thread made today will occupy up to a page of that link you posted yet not one person has said "Lagos is no man's land" today in the context you're alluding, multiply it across Nairaland and you see this your big reveal is just hot dung. In fact, if you check the link all 20 pages of that search term were made in the last two days when the whole "Lagos is no man's land" conversation has been at its peak. Like I said, your big reveal is one of the worst uses of data I've seen on this thread...if you don't believe me take time to scan through the BS link you posted. https://www.nairaland.com/search?q=Lagos+no+man%27s+land&search=Search I'm sure if you check the link after I make this post you'd see my comment there and that's what's forming your big reveal on Igbo's saying Lagos is no man's land...change your ways young man 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: It was really pathetic to see educated people peddle and make decisions based on roadside rumours I grew up in Amuwo Odofin, largely dominated by other southerners. GloriousGbola even said in his full close, he is the only non- igbo. Yet, i have never seen an Igbo man battling for Baale or Council of chiefs. Even in Igbo dominated areas like Ojo, Ikotun, na Yorubas dey control both the traditional rulership and political. But a Twitter link was the sinister plan to hijack Lagos I shame for wetin my eye see today 8 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 7:19pm On Mar 20, 2023 |
Theflint1: Dude, the build up to the No Man's Land being parroted didn't begin today. The violence of the elections didn't take place today. Filtering your search beam to today alone is being disingenuous. Again, overtly or covertly through 'likes' and playing blind, stop edging on people who trigger whole groups of people with such comments. It makes you just as guilty. Maybe the indigenous ethnics of Lagos are nicer. Calabar was an FCT for a few months before it was moved to Lagos. Try calling or insinuating Calabar is a no man's land and you'd be decapitated there and then on the streets. Not beaten - decapitated. Ask King-Tom to explain how Calabar South boys (the Efiks) would react. Calabar is a multicultural mix too like Lagos. If you won't take it - don't dish it. 11 Likes 1 Share |
