This tendency to talk taunt provoke is at the core of Ibo psyche and what led up to Saturday's events

Personalise it. Say "I hate Igbos". Stop looking for validation, stop looking for crowd support. Own your own hate. Say it and be free.

So you guys basically disgraced yourself globally, thinking you were teaching Igbos a lessson. Now you're getting the gist. The scale is falling off your eyes gradually. Let me laugh in Swahili. grin grin grin

Now read this slowly.

Lagos is No Man's Land!
Igbos will interfere in Lagos election.
Igbos will take over Lagos,
Benin own Lagos!

What are you going to do, you little emotional man?

Disown your chilldren?
Insult your fathers?
Assault your brothers?
Burn a market?
Attack Igbos?

What are you going to do, little emotional man, cos Igbos are not your mate. You cannot tame us.

We will keep pressing your mumu button; emotional lots.

Chinua Achebe the erudite novelist tried to change the narrative of the January 15, 1966 Coup in his book There Was A Country to portray his ethnic group as the victim, but this has been debunked: “Igbo in the North were widely taunting their hosts on the loss of their leaders. Celestine Ukwu, a popular Igbo musician, released songs titled Ewu Ne Ba Akwa (Goats Are Crying) and others celebrating “Igbo power”, the “January Victory.” Posters, stickers, postcards, cartoons displaying the murdered Sardauna begging Major Nzeogwu at the gates of heaven or Balewa burning outright in pits of hell or Nzeogwu standing St. George-like on Sardauna, the defeated dragon , began to show up across Northern towns and cities. These provocations were so pervasive that they warranted the promulgation of Decree 44 of 1966 banning them”.

You want Igbos to be subservient?
LordIsaac:

Be humble and respect your host simple. It was Newton that said "to every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction." It counteracts logic that just like that, your hitherto welcoming host suddenly becomes inhospitable. Check yourself first, before you try to determine how you should be treated!

Great0ne1:

Can you explain what you mean by been humble and respecting your host ? Can you explain how the igbos has disrespected there host ? Can you explain how exercising there right to vote there choice candidate amounted to disrespect ? If there is anyone who has actually disrespected the other openly, it is your oba who has disrespected the igbos and made very disturbing ethnic remarks against the igbos in 2019.

But i know for sure, there are millions of reasonable and responsible yoruba people out there. I will not call them names, because of the few irresponsible idiots we have here and on twitter. But for those of you, who thinks that inec declaring Tinubu as a winner, is a victory against the igbos. Trust me, we are all in this together. If Tinubu has any iota of love, for the yoruba race, he would have stepped down for osinbajo to contest. He would have been concerned about what would become of his people, should anything happens to him and another fulani terrorist assumes power. Infact, what was Mr tinubu's reaction, when the same government he helped bring into power, allowed fulani herdsmen to invade your villages, kill your men, and raped your women ? Are you also going to blame an igbo man for that ? May be we need another 8 or 16 years of misery to understand that, we need to be united to retrieve our country from these irresponsible criminals, masquerading as leaders

What do you call a situation where Igbo locked the Alaba market demanding people to show their PVC before gaining entrance, what sort of impunity and see finish is that in a land that is not yours.

Igbo have overstepped their boundary, they have awakened the monster in the head of the average Yoruba person. Humble yourself and stop bragging otherwise you will always be defeated in a contest as this

Igbos are peaceful and that is why no matter your provocation in Lagos, Yorubas will not be attacked in SS/SE!

Good. Respect for one's host, humility and peace, are indispensable for harmonious coexistence.

Even Yorubas that looked like Igbos and other SS people were attacked by thugs and you're here justifying a babaric act thats not befitting of a 21st century society.

When you say respect your host, how can you call Nigerians strangers in Nigeria? Are there no Yorubas that voted for Gbadebo in the over 300k votes? So other Nigerians should vote based on your dictates?

If this country falls apart, its on you guys

Now you can start crying or go and look for a market to burn. If you like, go and burn Lagos down. Bigot!

You will take over Lagos? Come and take it now, 1967 will be a child's play, is like you all want to be wipe out again, what happened on Saturday is just rehearsal, behave foolishly again. Mtchew!
